For Playmobil hunters, dd is now 14 so though my Playmobil days are over, a tip try eBay.de. Most of hers was from there if new, and at least back then was almost always cheaper than any UK shops. Also my best ever Playmobil bargain was the modern house which I got second hand from eBay for about £30. All perfectly boxed and not recognisably second hand.

@lionsleepstonight I also got MIL the GH deal last year. Couldn’t find a similar deal this year so just went with a Prima subscription which was reduced until end of Oct I think. Around £25, but no free gift . It was direct from the Hearst website.

Re smyths - got email today to say LOL I pre ordered is in stock. The email says this:

The email came through about 4am today - do you think collecting Monday will be ok or does it have to be tomorrow?

RE the ARgos laptop offer. DH has the old version of the HP Stream (this is the one that is on offer at Argos) and I have the new one. The old one isn´t touch screen, although mine does and it is very slow.

I find it fine for everyday internet use but I don´t use games etc. I store everything on a memory stick. I am not going to go for the offer for DD because it doesn´t have a DVD player or touch screen. I could put up with the other faff with a memory stick if it wasn´t for this. IT´s not bad though for the price.

I don´t know what I am going to go for.

By the way the Q&A bit on Argos is not to be relied upon. It answered a couple of questions about this laptop wrongly!

Haudyer, in my every day life I'd expect it to me 2 clear days (so until the end of Monday), but I'm not sure I'd want to rely on that in this instance! Can you get there sooner? (The things we do for our kids at Christmas!)

If you have a sparks card it's a worth checking to see if you have a 20% off clothing and beauty bonus offer. If so, it's stacking with any other offer you may have on your card. I had a 20% off kids socks, tights and underwear so managed to get two pairs of the red fairisle Christmas pajamas for my two children for £16.64 (should have been £28).

@IToldYouIWasFreaky I would just look up the website hotdealsuk for ps4's as they often list very decent PS4 deals, I would definitely wait till Black Friday as there is likely to be a decent deal somewhere for it (maybe an extra game for your money)

Pidgy - ds recently made chocolate bars at school. We bought a range of brown / white chocolate, gummy bears, popping candy and silicone moulds (I saw some cheap ones in ikea) - all that in a mixing bowl would make a good gift.

He says you drive this truck thing over regular sized Lego bricks and it picks them up and stores them? Can’t fond anything online like this but is adamant he seen it?
