Charles Tyrwhitt sent me a £10 off voucher, the code is JUAFH and there is no minimum spend so I have just ordered my dad a few pairs of socks (in the clearance section) for the price of postage which is £4.95 Smile.

LostMyRubySlippers · 15/10/2017 18:44

vino don’t have a Boden voucher for you sorry as planning to use mine as soon as i get paid! But do try using the 25% code that margaritas mentioned- added it to my basket & it worked fine- extra 5% makes a big difference on a bigger purchase! Hope you can get a voucher too though

LostMyRubySlippers · 15/10/2017 18:46

Sorry the voucher was B9I8
I entered it as capital i & it worked fine

bigarse1 · 15/10/2017 18:49

imip - think a beanbag might be a good idea as long as I could make sure he couldn't get the beans out lol. nice fleece/throw is brilliant idea too. anything that helps has got to be good. thanks

Ness1234 · 15/10/2017 18:56

I can't find the Boden 25% off code, I can't seem to get B918 working for me. Could someone let me know, thank you

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2017 19:01

The Matalan £5 fleece blankets are lovely - we've got loads and they wash really well.

We got last year's version of this and there are a couple of other patterns - not sure about the check ones as i haven't felt the material -
Throw

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 15/10/2017 19:02

I've just had these First Aid/SOS tins arrive from AliExpress - £1.06 each and they're great.

Not quite sure who or what to give them to but they'd make great little emergency themed kits ( first aid, sewing, hobby related) if filled with bits and bobs. Only small but handy for handbag, school bag etc

Annwithnoe · 15/10/2017 19:05

Thanks butterfly mum

bigarse1 I made a weighted blanket by sewing two cotbed sheets together in a grid pattern and filling the spaces with uncooked rice. (Like Making a duvet but with rice instead of feathers). A dressmaker could probably run up something similar and if you used a shower curtain instead of sheets it could be wiped clean. Those weighted vests and blankets are so expensive.

We got a second hand inflated birth pool for a £10 on eBay and filled with balls to make a cheap ball pool that could take a fair amount of abuse from a trashing child.

For a while we used a travel cot with a jersey sheet stretched across the top and pulled down under the feet, to make a cocoon for him to lie and trash about in. He loved when we put another elasticated cot sheet across the top and he was all closed in!

Not sure if any of those ideas are useful.

Annwithnoe · 15/10/2017 19:07

Special Agent how long did they take to arrive? I'm thinking the SOS ones would be great filled with "emergency chocolate" or a whiskey miniature.

Lego juniors Fire patrol suitcase building set is reduced from £17.99 to £11.87 at Amazon. Sorry can't link as it links to my account.

gingerbreadmam · 15/10/2017 19:09

the mickey and minnie christmas pjs on matalan are lovely.

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 15/10/2017 19:19

Annwithnoe I've just looked on my order details and I ordered them on October 2nd so pretty damned quick!

At the same time I ordered Post-It notes, sew-on/iron-on patches, novelty socks and brand name stickers (You Tube, Vans etc) - all of these things were 20p-£1 nick-nacks to go in stockings so not a risk if they don't turn up or are crap. They were from different sellers and haven't arrived yet

FoofFighter · 15/10/2017 19:33

Placemat king Star

Ness1234 · 15/10/2017 19:34

Thank you LostMyRubySlippers will have another go.

Llamacorn · 15/10/2017 19:37

Thanks again reastie

@bigarse1 your ds sounds like my dd, it's very difficult isn't it Flowers
My dd adores her weighted blanket, we had to get a waterproof one due to other issues and the charity 'teddy bear fund' actually donated 75% of the cost (they would have covered the whole amount had we not needed the more expensive one unfortunately) there is also the family fund which can help with things that will help dc.
My dd also loves her bear hugs vest, it applies constant pressure and really helps calm her down. Have you got an OT for your son? Ours were fantastic and we were able to borrow a lot of aids from them to see if they would suit before having to shell out a lot of money first. Hth.

RJnomore1 · 15/10/2017 19:44

oh ffs I can't get a link to post for some reason but if you look up hengsong unicorn pendant on amazon there is a nice little stocking filler for 63p

Wiifitmama · 15/10/2017 19:48

Thank for the alert to the Works 25% off code for today.

A couple of bargains I got -

Harry Potter A5 notebooks. They had a variety of covers - all real merchandise. They were on sale for £2.50 but then had an additional £25% off

Playing With Power - NES Nintendo hardback book. Down to £10 on sale and then 25% off that. Perfect for my 16 year old.

Do note that not everything took a discount off. And one thing only took 5% off.

imip · 15/10/2017 19:57

Yes, I forgot to mention the Family Fund in our borough could possibly fund a weighted blanket. We borrowed one from OT to test, in the middle of summer last year, dd certainly didn't like it!

imip · 15/10/2017 19:58

I've also heard lots of good things about body socks - perhaps we need a Christmas SN thread Grin

minsmum · 15/10/2017 20:03

Has anyone got a code for Next my dd has asked for a coat from there for her birthday. Do they even do codes

hmslfc · 15/10/2017 20:04

Do you know Imip I would love a Christmas SN thread, until you mentioned it I didn't realise how much!!!

yumyumpoppycat · 15/10/2017 20:17

just went for this star wars book from hot deals book people £5 off a £30 spend using a code new30. I really recommend the Matt Haig Christmas book novels as advent bedtime reading and the latest is on offer on book people Father Christmas and me. ALSO got a set of christmasy mr men books.

Tried to use quidco as they sent me an email for £10 cashback on a valid purchase this weekend but it kept saying my brower had adblockers grr.

yumyumpoppycat · 15/10/2017 20:18

Matt Haig father Christmas and me

cowssheephens · 15/10/2017 20:18

You are welcome to it big1 I wouldn't have offered if I was expecting payment. i just hope your DS likes it, DD didn't even look at it. This is the one chew necklace autism please PM your address.

lifelong lunar DD plays with the Generation 2 ones, I think the ones they sell now in the shops are G5 and G6. I never thought I would know so much about LPS, just wished I could buy her something from a shop that has LPS packaging around it. Over the years the G2 have definitely raised in price, we have looked in charity shops, car boot but never seen any.
