I've just had a look at the freakabella doll Shock no way in hell!! I am now counting myself lucky that DD wanted the lol doll surprise as I'm sorry but that thing would not be entering our house plans to stay up all night making sure father Christmas doesn't leave one behind

I wonder if it's all a trick by the toy companies, you make the hideous present this year and ours will just be ridiculously expensive, when parents see yours they will be so glad their child hasn't asked for it that they don't mind buying our toy Wink split the profits 50/50 -> certainly seems that way, I never thought I would be pleased at DD wanting lol doll waste of money surprise!

dancemom · 16/10/2017 11:27

If anyone is looking for 15% off shoes at Schuh, I've posted a referral link over on the referral page. I'm hoping to upgrade my 'the kids are embarrassed to be seen with me'- trainers, so thanks to anyone who uses it (I get a 15% discount too)

fleshmarketclose · 16/10/2017 11:51

@bigarse1 saw your ideas request for sensory items. Have you approached any charities that might help you with these items? Off of the top of my head Family Fund and Caudwell Children both fund sensory items and I suspect Cerebra do as well (although couldn't swear to that)
I feel for you, I have a son and daughter with autism and ds was a thrower and I used to judge everything by how much it would hurt when he threw it at me too. He's 22 now and the throwing days are long over (although we all have scars) and really lovely so things can and do get better. What was a hit when he was a thrower were velcro beanbags and a target to throw at. It seems bizarre to suggest something to throw when throwing is a problem but we taught ds to throw at the targets instead of my head because stopping the throwing was impossible.

I'm thinking of getting a seed subscription for FIL who is hard to buy for but loves his garden. I don't usually spend a huge amount so maybe 3 months. Has anyone had one before they can recommend? I'm currently look at this one Seed pantry

OhHolyFuck · 16/10/2017 11:55

Bloody hell, those matalan pjs went fast, out of stock in the sizes I need, do you reckon they'll get new stock in?

imsorryiasked · 16/10/2017 12:10

Star Wars Darth Vader scooter with light up wheels

bigarse1 · 16/10/2017 12:35

@fleshmarketclose its nice to know life can get better thanks. we used family fund recently so have to wait a year for them, cauldwell children I did contact but you had to pay part of the cost and there were only certain things they supplied so waiting to see about that one. haven't thought of cerebra? will have a look thanks. bean bags seem a good idea and may work - unfortunately at the moment it seems to be all about me, so either kissing, sniffing and licking me or headbutting, kicking, hitting, biting. but may try the bean bags as he struggles with co ordination with things like that so they may help x

pinyata · 16/10/2017 12:52

@OhHolyFuck they should do I missed the first lot last year but managed to get the sizes I needed at different intervals

NotPennysBoat · 16/10/2017 12:57

There are loads of Fingerlings on eBay for less than a tenner. Also a few which state “UK Seller” although I’m sure they originally came from China! Ordered today and dispatched with eta of 23/10 so seems ok! Will report back!

ja9r · 16/10/2017 12:57

My new EB mugs are bringing me much joy. They bring my collection to 6 and make me smile every time I open the cupboard.

First 2 were seconds at a fiver each

Third was free with GH subscription

Now three more lovely ones for 20!

A set of 6 for £30. That’s bargainous.

bunbunny · 16/10/2017 12:59

Personwithnoname have you considered a garden magazine subscription? Lots of them in the shops come with packets of seeds included although you'd need to double check that they also get sent out with the subscription one. But some magazines do a 3 for £3 or 5 for £5 mini subscription to lure you in (you just need to remember to cancel before the end!) to either add to your present or instead of the subscription.

PerfumeIsAMessage · 16/10/2017 13:00

Which colour Catalan PJs are people going for? I'm wondering which ones I can wrestle DH into

WaitingForEgg · 16/10/2017 13:26

Clearly I meant Matalan...

OhHolyFuck · 16/10/2017 13:28

@KMoKMo I got them! Got 2 blue pairs for DSs on Christmas morning, a lovely thought that all the mini bargain hunters will all be spotty opening their presents Xmas Smile

Llamacorn · 16/10/2017 13:44

I feel bad saying this but I don't like the alder hey jammies 🙈 Think I'll still buy them for the kids as it's a good cause but I'll be looking for more Christmassy ones to be our family matching pyjamas. Although I'm tempted by the pet jumpers my dd would love to match the dog! Does anyone know a size guide to the pet ones?

Also, some Matalan codes here

JsOtherHalf · 16/10/2017 13:52

@bigarse1

Like previously mentioned it might be worth approaching some charities for sensory stuff.

Cerebra aren't currently giving grants, but they have a free lending library of toys and books .
Caudwell Children can help with bubble tubes etc,as long as household income is less than £40000 ish.
