@Mayathebee - Aliexpress have some light up wands (can't vouch for quality though)

Hermione Wands

OhHolyFuck · 29/09/2017 12:13

I need 2x£20 minecraft sets, galt marble run and dobble - can't get all those in one place, was hoping for toysrus or smyths so I could get £10 off £50 (or £20 off £100 realistically!)
Is there anywhere I haven't looked where I could get all those and a discount in one place?

OhHolyFuck · 29/09/2017 12:15

*@CarrotVan a preview of ikea heree

LookMaAStone · 29/09/2017 12:33

I think this might have been asked a while ago, but any recommendations for marble runs? Bargainous ones of course!

RJnomore1 · 29/09/2017 12:35

i am still a bit disappointed that his horn isn't bigger

OhHolyFuck · 29/09/2017 12:35

@LookMaAStone galt has the best reviews and is 25% off at the entertainer

christmasunicorn · 29/09/2017 12:41

Maya try aliexpress. My dd wanted a Harry Potter wand but I didn’t want to pay £££ for something to sit on a shelf. Got one for £7 from aliexpress and she loved it, looked really good. I’m sure they did light up ones as well for a couple more quid

DumbledoresArmy · 29/09/2017 12:46

Just got £20 knocked off at the till at Smyths for spending £103.
Got some good stuff.

tootsieglitterballs · 29/09/2017 12:50

Anyone successfully taken advantage of the hotel chocolat subscription offer and cancelled after the first box?

mayathebee · 29/09/2017 12:52

Thanks. I'll check out eBay and aliexpress. I was worried they would look really cheap and break easily but maybe it's worth a try at those prices.

Strawberryfield12 · 29/09/2017 13:01

tootsie yes, I did. You can take the first box at the special price for all different types: high cocoa, mellow, fortified etc. I have tried them all, then cancelled all apart from high cocoa, which I delayed until November this year for a Christmas treat. In the meantime, they have sent me emails offering the same boxes for around £10 because their best before date was within month or so. Also at the beginning of 2017 they sent me a voucher book with number of discounts, which I happily used.

wornoutboots · 29/09/2017 13:09

ooh thanks OhHolyFuck

though I have no clue where we'll keep one

Squ1ggle · 29/09/2017 13:20

@singadream if you still need an Emma Bridgewater offer you can use this link for a free 1/2 pint polka dot mug with your first order (I think it has to be over £30 which isn't difficult on there) 0i17.mj.am/lnk/AEEARDfD5W8AAU1rQ7YAAF_W_jAAAIBigD0AAAAAAAEZ0gBZy4-_frF_ewPxRQSS2JhTwUOVQQABD9s/1/0JSAwFlj_d0Qk2Q7BajTlQ/aHR0cHM6Ly9lbW1hYnJpZGdld2F0ZXIubWVudGlvbi1tZS5jb20vbS9mZS9xZTNuby1lYmI0YWE0OGI4P3V0bV9jYW1wYWlnbj1yZWZlcnJlci1mb3J3YXJkLWVtYWlsJnV0bV9tZWRpdW09ZW1haWwmdXRtX3NvdXJjZT1jdXN0b21lcnMmdXRtX2NvbnRlbnQ9Y3Rh

you can also get 15% off your first order with code WELCOME15UK and they have free delivery and free personalisation offers at the moment so now is a good time to buy.

If you use my code above I get £15 off a £75 spend.

Can anybody advise me on magna-tiles / magformers? I started a threa din the toys & games section but no responses yet. I'll copy and paste below:

has anyone bought either of these and are they any good worth the extortionate price tag ? or are there any cheaper brands that are still good to play with? I prefer these two brands from what I have seen as they are not polarised like some of the cheaper brands.

I am thinking of them for my DS who will be just turned 3 at Christmas.

I have set up camelcamelcamel alerts for these two sets as I think a bigger set will allow much more freedom of creativity but the price alert level shows as them never having been that low so I think I'm not onto a winner here.

thanks in advance for any advice

FlossyAnn · 29/09/2017 13:27

My daughter just got a small set of about 14 magformers last Christmas and she still plays with them all the time.

Squ1ggle · 29/09/2017 13:29

flossy do you think small sets are ok then? Obviously would prefer a smaller set as they're so expensive but was worried he wouldn't be able to create more interesting things with a smaller number of tiles

FaFoutis · 29/09/2017 13:35

Kawaii stuff for stocking fillers here:
www.blippo.com/blippo-surprise-kawaii-mixed-bag.html
There are stationary ones too. KAWAIILOVE for extra 10% off.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 29/09/2017 13:42

I often use Blippo, collection of Japanese sweets would be good for teens, something different. The code works year round Smile

HavingAnOffDAy · 29/09/2017 13:44

Just ordered my nephew a bargainous t-shirt from Rocket & Rose - thanks for the info Flowers

BadgerFace · 29/09/2017 13:50

Squiggle I love our Magnatiles. We have had them for about 3.5 years and they get played with a lot, and in different ways from what I had imagined. At 3 my DD mainly liked to either match the colours, or build very simple 'tent' houses for her animals rather than build elaborate structures so a small set would be fine. We had the DX set which includes a car and a window in a door which get good use.

Last Christmas we added a Shape Mags set which was cheaper and comparable although my DH bought those in the US. If you know anyone over there which can post to you they are much cheaper!

DD2 (20 months) likes to stack them and my 12 year old nephews play with them so I think they have good longevity. I like the transparent colour sets rather than solid colours as you can then play with them on a light table, or build in front of patio doors on a sunny day to get pretty colour shadows on the floor.

Squ1ggle · 29/09/2017 14:10

@BadgerFace that's really useful, thank you

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 29/09/2017 14:12

pambeasley the boots offer has gone down to one item for £5 that gets the free gift and that's showing out of stock online. Here's a picture - it's only the ones that say 'free gift'
