Firefly GrinGrin we both took off in other directions!

As it's our first Christmas in our own home, we have been looking for nice bits to keep. Dp bought me a tin of shortbread with stags on the front, it's lovely! Then he said to me " and the best bit, it was half price!" I have converted him Grin

Also, the point of my story - there are half price shortbread tins in tesco

Badders have you tried Scent Samples online? Not sure whether their range is good but the last time I wanted to try a perfume before buying, but it wasn't in the shops, I ordered a sample from there. Glad I did too, because it was absolutely minging.

Whenasuitcasejustwontdo · 01/11/2016 08:09

Badders have you tried Perfume Parlour for a good dupe as an alternative? here

recklessgran · 01/11/2016 08:54

I wanted to get adult DD a nice advent calendar as I feel a bit mean getting her brother a funky one and not her, but I ruled out a beauty calendar as she has far too much already. She has far too much stuff in general so I really don't like adding to it!

I was in TK Maxx at the weekend and found a really cute tea advent calendar.Brew There are 24 cubes with a couple of different flavour tea bags in. This is right up her street as she loves trying different teas. I figured she could enjoy the tea each day and at the end of the month we won't have to find room for 24 new things! It was only £5.99 and was in the food section.

I got a lakeland leaflet with my red magazine (no goody bag yet here either) and it had a code for £5 off £30 online at lakeland- I won't use it so here you go- first come first served.
Voucher number 1180 0417 9289 3099

Trin4421 · 01/11/2016 09:50

Thank you reckless! I've been sitting with a full basket!

BrilliantlyStupid · 01/11/2016 09:50

Real Techniques Starter Makeup Brushes kit down to 10.98 on Amazon, one of the lowest prices I have seen.

AdmiralCLingus · 01/11/2016 09:53

Found this cutie in tesco... think he was £4. Much nicer than the m&s tins thus year!

Right I have just my aunt left to buy for and desperately need some inspiration! She loves books so am going to get her a kindle voucher (or say she can have £20 worth of books as her kindle is connected to my account.... we had to find a way to limit her buying 😂) but I need inspiration for some stuff she can open. Usually spend around £50 in total... so a few gifts up to about £30!

According to a woman in M&S today, the advent calendar will be released next week if you spend £35 on beauty it will be £35 so £70 spend in total. Contents said to worth over £200.

Just had CCC alert for Playmobil take along house Down to £14.24 on Amazon

pantherfootballforever · 01/11/2016 10:20

Can you buy physical Amazon giftcards anywhere? I was sure you could but looked in both Asda and Sainsburys this morning which both have huge selections and neither had Amazon ones. Are they only sold in specific shops?

Thinking of adding a giftcard to each of the DC's stockings as we have just been given some extra cash from a relative for them for Christmas but they don't need anything else and as we are travelling over Christmas we won't have space for extra stuff.

Also I keep reading of ways to get deals on giftcards - do those work on Amazon too or just places like Toys R Us?

Badders123 · 01/11/2016 10:21

You can buy gift cards from the Amazon website?

gaggiagirl · 01/11/2016 10:21

Tiggles · 01/11/2016 10:22
