Book people are doing a two hour lunchtime deal on lego books and looks like an awesome saving. Only on for 2 hours.

Hi all, I've been lurking on these threads for a while and as a result have had a few ideas for presents, thank you.

In the wake of the Hush customer service debacle I just wanted to show that there are firms out there who do get customer service right. As a result of a link from Restie at the start of one of these threads I ordered the chocolate anuses from Toxic Fox. They arrived very quickly, packaged so there was no way either they or the box were going to get damaged in the post. Unfortunately, the use by date was 30th October, just a week after placing the order.

I got in contact with them via email, received a reply within the hour, full of apologies and offering a replacement with a longer shelf date. Result - happy customer.

I then received a further email, more apologies as no more available, my money was refunded straightaway and a discount offer on a further purchase once they were back in stock. And as the use by date was very close we had to eat the ones received Smile and very nice they were too.

Not as wonderful as having chocolates with a good shelf life obviously, but great customer service when things went unexpectedly wrong. Well done Toxic Fox

prominent oh no! Can you pm the mnetter who used it? Do you think cured and simple might do a hush?

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 31/10/2016 13:04

Thanks thekids, I'll keep an eye out on Friday!

sixp · 31/10/2016 13:04

Does anyone know how you actually redeem your 'buddy credit' on the Flavourly website? It seems to say you can redeem your credit off your monthly boxes. Ideally I'd like to redeem it now off another box, then cancel. Is that possible?

prominent5 · 31/10/2016 13:05

I just said I gave the code to several friends and family members so not sure who used it yet as I didn't get an email from them saying my referral had been used. I hope they don't but just to make everyone aware.

JDSTER · 31/10/2016 13:08

Sorry, just seen it above Blush

LostMyRubySlippers · 31/10/2016 13:34

Got my "Christmas at the X" signs today, really pleased with them!!

QuilliamCakespeare · 31/10/2016 13:45

I've text a few of my friends with my bacon code. It'll be a pain if I have to find out who actually used it!

RoastieToastieReastie · 31/10/2016 13:45

Got my red magazine today and also still awaiting my goodie bag, if you get your please let me know.

Only DH to buy for now so keeping an eye on the thread for ideas as much as bargains. Last year I got so many ideas from MN it was great, this year it looks like I used them all up at once because I've no idea.

SymphonyofShadows · 31/10/2016 13:53

Thanks for the new thread and the Disney code, got R/C BB8 for just over £20 inc delivery, down from about £35

CarrotVan · 31/10/2016 14:14

I've got DH a suede jacket (TK Maxx), a new sponge bag (Superdrug), toiletries (Superdrug), a cookery book (Amazon) and a mushroom growing kit (Suttons)

I went on the online chat with Cure&Simple as I'd had a referral but I had stopped my account. I wanted to see if it was still valid (which it isn't btw). You need to be active to get free referral bacon. They asked me names of friends too and I just said I shared it on FB so no idea who had taken up the code. I asked them to look at their system as I could see under 'history' I'd had a referral used and they gave me the name of the person to thank. I just made a joke about them being vegetarian (like I know them well) and they replied 'a shit one'! Great customer service though otherwise and they retrospectively gave me the referral back and reinstated my account. I asked if I could keep sharing code and they said no problem. Hooray for C&S!

chicaguapa · 31/10/2016 14:16

Not sure if this has been posted yet but Molton Brown has 20% OFF but it ends today. Use code: UKFF20

JDSTER · 31/10/2016 14:45

My Red mag also arrived today. I got this reply from them re goody bag " I would advise that there was a delay in dispatching your gift due to an unforeseen delay from the suppliers however I am pleased to advise it has now been sent out by our gift distribution centre and will be with you within 7-10 days." Not long to wait hopefully!

NextInLine · 31/10/2016 15:00

Thanks for the new thread.
I have a 10% code for the elc if anyone can use it? I'm not sure if it's just for my account but it's valid until 4/11/16 if anyone wants to try it.

Picked up th Debenham's gift guide today... ShockMust resist!

EmGee · 31/10/2016 15:28

Thanks for the bargains everyone especially the heads up on Smyths Toys (snaffled two Barbies and got a fiver off, and the Barbie camper van and got a tenner off - kids will be delighted).

I might give the LaRedoute code a go; eyeing up the Aigle welly boots - such a good price.

Can anyone help me with some curlers for young girls? Nothing fancy or electric. I read about something on Facebook but cannot for the life of me remember what the product was. It made lovely ringlets though and my girls (4 and 7) would love it! If this rings a bell with anyone, please enlighten me! I think it was something that cost less than 10 pounds IIRC.
