mammyaroundmadness · 28/10/2016 22:09

Anyone got any gift ideas for a male whisky lover? [Fsmile]

TobleroneBoo · 28/10/2016 22:11

Thanks to those who responded about moccasins, realize my link was a bit of a duff one!

Recipient sent me some she liked in debenhams, looked on the brands actual site and they had a 25% off code GrinGrin

RJnomore1 · 28/10/2016 22:14

Glad to be of help!

Unluckycat1 · 28/10/2016 22:17

Lego is looking a bit cheaper on amazon atm (cheaper than their usual savings)

TheImpossibleGirl · 28/10/2016 22:26

Mammy, what about a set of whisky stones, a whisky recipe book, whisky laced cake or nice glasses? Or a bottle of whisky of course.
I am into Welsh whisky atm. Penderyn is still quite a new one, relatively speaking, but is really nice. If they are near South Wales, you could even book a tour (check Groupon first).

Tiggles · 28/10/2016 22:36

If anybody sees a cheap kindle paperwhite (none on the amazon refurb page) can you let me know. I have managed to lose mine which has all my college books on. Totally gutted. Anybody know how easy it will be to get all my existing books onto a new one?

Rockchick1984 · 28/10/2016 22:39

Tiggles no advice on where to get one cheaply (can you wait til Black Friday?) but if you log into a new kindle or the kindle app on your phone / tablet then you can access your existing library on any of these devices.

torthecatlady · 28/10/2016 22:55

Highly recommend the penderyn whisky tour as previously mentioned!

Also to the pp about the M&S Sparks card, they gave me £5 off (no min spend) for my birthday and there seem to be regular discounts on different departments (not always useful), but they also donate to your chosen charity every time you spend.

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 29/10/2016 07:32

mammy some nice whisky tshirts in Sainsbury's 25% off
here and here Xmas Smile

RoastieToastieReastie · 29/10/2016 07:33

Most of my Amazon orders haven't had a delivery note for a while. If they are from third party they tend to but not if directly from Amazon. Which is annoying as I've bought some stuff for work and need to claim it back but it's not obvious how to get a proper receipt to print on their website (I don't think the email order confirmation counts).

Amazon have the Chocolate Lolly
maker which is heavily advertised down to £13.38. Unlike the Chocolate Coin maker, it has OK reviews. This isn't the best price ever (it has been down to £10 at one point this year) but is a good price for it as it normally hovers around the £15/£16 mark.

Slightly Angry at Whittards...am obsessed with their hot choc so wanted to do the 3for2. No point getting it delivered as it eats right into the discount, but the earliest they can do click and collect is the 7th Nov!! I'm only going to be in town on weds. Bah humbug. Next time I'll have to give myself 10 days notice Brew

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/10/2016 08:08

One last topman order and the DC's are done!!! Is it worth waiting or just using a friends student discount? (10%).

GerrardWinstanley · 29/10/2016 08:38

Manny not cheap but the Glencairn tasting glass? You can have it engraved too (at 30p a letter Shock). They're a bit cheaper here. You can find them on Amazon too.

GerrardWinstanley · 29/10/2016 08:39

Mammy not Manny. Autocorrect fail

Hedgyhoggy · 29/10/2016 08:50

Seeking a bargain photo blanket but struggling to find any discounts. Ideally £25 max. Anyone seen anything?
