So sorry as I think I'm probably repeating a question that has been asked - but are there any Debenhams codes about? I've got quite a big basket going at the moment!

Wait4nothing · 22/10/2016 08:42

I've asked hush to remove my email and if I receive any marketing from them I will contact the consumer ombudsman as they must have had this 'offer' to get email addresses- anyone with a brain in their head would realise it would be shared widely and used mainly on low priced items. So I can only conclude they had no intention of honouring it and are using it to get as many email addresses as possible.

Darkswan · 22/10/2016 08:55

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual thanks, I might just do that.

Or the fruit tree, sorry, I forgot who suggested that. I found one that grows plumd and apricots (I think), but it grows too big for them I think.

prominent5 · 22/10/2016 09:03

I wonder who had the fun job at Hush of going through the referral page and matching it with orders. 😂
Seriously though who would pay that price for chocolate! Rip off.

McFarts · 22/10/2016 09:18

Does anyone know what price the Ipad 3 was on last nights lightening deals?

Strawberryfield12 · 22/10/2016 09:24

prominent clearly the person didn't do a good job with matching if they are now cancelling and refunding orders which have been delivered days ago...

lolly the problem with generating codes with fake email addresses is that you don't get referral credit unless the referred person actually places an order. In which case it should be pretty straightforward to single out anybody doing dodgy stuff. If customer A refers more than 1 or 2 people in her own address it's an indicator something up, no need to blame half a country in fraud.

ChristmasEvePJs · 22/10/2016 09:24

Has anyone got a good recommendation for pre teen perfume? DN is 12 and seems to like perfume and make up.

SquatBetty · 22/10/2016 09:35

Hush are idiots! I had the snotty email from them last night but I'd actual used a referral code that someone posted on the Style & beauty board weeks ago. I've replied pointing this out and requesting they re-instate my order.

The accusatory language they've used in their email is appalling - a good example of how NOT to do PR. I wonder if someone inexperienced panicked and wrote and sent it out without getting it checked first.

Snooky17 · 22/10/2016 09:43

BHS Christmas gift store has 15% off GIFT15 until Tuesday

AgnesBrownsCat · 22/10/2016 09:45

Just got an email from smiggle. Choice of two pencilcases and 5 small stationery items for £15. My son has the camouflage ghost one and it is fantastic. I have the purple bubble one and while it's lovely the other more is more substantial for the money.
I'm thinking of buying a few bits for my present box and stockings but the postage is putting me off. Do they ever do free postage for less than £50?
disclaimer:I bought ours in the sale. I'm too tight to spend £13 on a pencilcase.

AgnesBrownsCat · 22/10/2016 09:46

Also can I just say "I have found my people" . I'm always wittering on at work about my bargains and I feel my colleagues do not appreciate my bargain hunting know how.

UnoriginalNN · 22/10/2016 09:49

Has MN commented on Hush yet? Can't believe the way Hush have treated people!

Darkswan · 22/10/2016 09:50

I've got nearly £250 of things in my very basket and I can't bring myself to check out without a discount code (especially as it's mostly for me), why are all the codes for new customers?! Sad

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 22/10/2016 09:57

Christmas Eve what about Ghost perfume? I think it's fairly subtle and good for younger teens. They've got loads of different fragrances, though the original blue one is my favourite. There are usually good deals online for Ghost stuff, and Boots do gift sets. I think I saw quite a good one in there this week.

CinderellaFant · 22/10/2016 10:01

Looking a good deal on the new skylanders if anyone sees it!

Callmecordelia · 22/10/2016 10:03

I'm pretty sure the email I got from Sainsburys said this year they are opening slots early for delivery pass customers.

Shine0n · 22/10/2016 10:03

Darkswan I have a Very account that I only use when they send me vouchers (several times a year) and then pay off in full but they have a pattern - they send a £15 off £50 code, if that isn't used it increases to £25 off and if that isn't used it goes up to £30. Sometimes they send a £50 off £100 or 20% off. If you are not receiving them then maybe check in your account whether you have switched email/postal correspondence off. Otherwise, I'd email them to say your 'friends' often receive vouchers from them so why don't you? (In nicer language obviously!).

Shine0n · 22/10/2016 10:08

Also, a word of warning re using other people's Very codes - Very don't put up with it! They are well known for later removing the voucher code and charging your account with the full amount. I had seen about it on MSE but tried it anyway. About three months after I used someone else's code they wrote to me about not being allowed to use a voucher that wasn't sent to me and I was charged the full amount. It was worth a try...

Shine0n · 22/10/2016 10:10

Hush also sent me their shitty email about cancelling my order (50p chocolate). Three days after I had received it. I'll be emailing them to remove my details from their website when I have time to compose a suitably shitty response Grin

Darkswan · 22/10/2016 10:11

Thanks shineon I'll give it a go!

APocketfulOfStars · 22/10/2016 10:11

Lily.o briens also doing 25% off with code CHRISTMAS at checkout.

Not sure if the code upthread for £10 off is still going, or whether they can be combined.

Afreshstartplease · 22/10/2016 10:20

Right all, I did post on an earlier thread but got a bit distracted with pregnancy/house/kids/etc

However now I really need to pull my socks up!

New baby ds is 4 days old so he will luckily be easy to please this year! I then have a dd almost 4 at Christmas and two ds's 7 and nearly 9

So far I've bought a few bits for dd and eldest ds as they seem to be easiest to please and most giving with suggestions

Is 37.50 the best price I'm gonna get for the transformers rescue bots headquarters? Does anyone know what additional figures go well with this?

featherpillow · 22/10/2016 10:22

I've just tried the Lily O'Briens £10 off and free post code (LOBChocs16) but said not valid for me.

Vistaverde · 22/10/2016 10:25

Thanks Reastie for the new thread.

I received the email of doom from Hush yesterday evening as well. So no chocolate for me.

My latest Book People catalogue had a code £4 off a £25 spend or £7 off a £35 pound spend.

33EXTRA35

Valid until 4th November.

APocketfulOfStars · 22/10/2016 10:28

feather it's working for me, but I couldn't get the CHRISTMAS code to work, which would work out better for me.
