for wine lovers if you like a novelty plaque i saw one with a funny phrase on you cn probs pick up on line

"open the wine and let it breathe. If it doesn't breathe, quickly give it mouth to mouth"

tickled me and my df would love it (accompanied by a lovely bottle of red of course)

verytiredmummy1 · 15/10/2016 20:19

I can't seem to get the Charles tyrwhitt code to work. What am I doing wrong? It accepts code but then doesn't take £10 off xx

Giratina · 15/10/2016 20:28

Home bargains have this zootropolis soft toy in for £6.99 it's still £12.99 in Argos, it's a good sized talking one. They had a few zootropolis action figures cheap too.

itsonlysubterfuge · 15/10/2016 20:33

I had two Boden codes and with the 20% off and free delivery I got a pair of trousers and t-shirt for my DD for 30p! My DH is very impressed with my bargain skills Grin.

drowninginpinkplastic · 15/10/2016 20:36

highfiveart, I bought those boden mouse slippers with a recent 20% boden code and they were too small for dd. I'd say they are one maybe two sizes smaller as they are so fluffy inside. They are totally lush tho!

Betty24 · 15/10/2016 21:02

Also not sure if this is already posted but the Sainsburys half price sale starts on Weds 19th October, www.playpennies.com/insider-sales-tips/sainsburys-half-price-toy-sale-coming-soon-167493

Whattodowithaminute · 15/10/2016 21:04

Not at all bargainous but my DH is wine obsessed and favourite wine gifts have been 'decanter' magazine subscription, a massive geekish book called 'wine grapes' and a coravin (which was >£250) and lets you take a glass of wine out of any bottle without damaging the cork. Riedel wine glasses always appreciated too.

Oreocrumbs · 15/10/2016 21:08

I fully agree with Betty24 about the sizing on the boden mouse slippers. I bought the old style (rabbit) for dd's birthday and the mouse for Christmas. When I opened the rabbits up and they were her current size they were unwearable they were so tight, dd has been wearing the mouse ones 2 sizes up and they are a tiny bit big. I'd say you want to size up 2 sizes.

MissRainbowBrite · 15/10/2016 21:15

Agree about the Boden slippers, they are quite snug fitting so size up. DD has the lamb ones this year and to be honest they started off very soft and fluffy but have gone quite flat looking fairly quickly. Last year she had the velour bunny ones which looked good for far longer.

todayisabeautifulday · 15/10/2016 21:17

verytiredmummy is it because you are trying to buy sale items? In that case it did not work for me. However, I had a look around on google and found another code that takes 10% and also free P&P: PRO10

BanoffeePieIsMyFave · 15/10/2016 21:19

Thanks layla for the perfume code. My DSis and I love Chanel chance and it's never usually included with discount codes so great to get 15% off though perhaps not that bargainous as I ended up buying one for myself too oops!! Xmas Blush

confuugled1 · 15/10/2016 21:24

I was in WH Smith today and spotted they had quite a cute looking advent calendar that was filled with Christmas themed erasers. They seemed cute and a reasonable size plus it would have been OK for boys or girls.

It was about £6-7 or it was on their £10 for two offer.

I couldn't see it on their website looking in a hurry but they seem to have lots of sticker advent calendars too which could be a nice change from chocolate ones.

There was also an interesting looking book I might get for dh - the do nothing advent calendar.

And finally the Book People had an advent calendar activity box with an activity for each day which could be another useful one. Think it was about a fiver.

ChoccyJules · 15/10/2016 21:45

I need to confess...I have ordered a candle and a diffuser from Hush using the discounts - and they're both for me! Forgot that I was supposed to be crossing people off the present list. And no I can't still use them for someone else, I spent ages choosing. They're for me.

neddle · 15/10/2016 21:57
