Help I clicked someone's Hush link but it gave me a funny msg. So I tried another and it says I've already had one. How do it get it to work, sorry!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 15/10/2016 17:58

Boring, slightly off topic question please - my iron has packed up, is it worth waiting until Black Friday for a deal on a new one, or are boring items such as those not included?!

stealthsquiggle · 15/10/2016 18:13

If anyone can use £10 off a £30 spend at Boden (goes further with the 20% off children's stuff this weekend) let me know. I got all the way to the checkout and then got over myself - DD does not need more clothes, so spending £30 to save £10 is a false economy.

Anyway, PM me if you can use the code.

GerrardWinstanley · 15/10/2016 18:21

The Range has a lot of Sylvainian Families sets in store. I'm not well up enough on it to know how much of a bargain they are but the two things that are on their website seem to compare well against the current Amazon price
Tree School £30
Beech wood Hall £36

They had loads more sets in store.

Also got the DDs each a set of Inside Out emotion door hangers for 25p and the most gorgeous ceramic snowman decoration for £3. Can't find either of those on their website though.

I find it's a shop which although very bargainous I still leave £50 lighter in my purse.

Moana123 · 15/10/2016 18:23

I'm tempted by some of the wilko blox sets - probably a stupid question, but are these compatible with normal Lego?

Thanks

HerSpookyFattyness · 15/10/2016 18:31

moana we have loads and it is compatible. I only tend to buy real lego if it's a specific set he's asked for now, the rest of the time I get the wilkos one.

AlwaysOldBeforeMyTime · 15/10/2016 18:33

Yes moana blox stuff is compatible with Lego, only thing I've found is some bricks are a little taller which is irritating when trying to get something level!

justgivemeamo · 15/10/2016 18:40

bird kids has free postage this weekend ( quirky kids shop with lovely ranges - I get djeco stuff from there)

stealthsquiggle · 15/10/2016 18:43

SleepFreeZone · 15/10/2016 18:57

Anyone know if tesco will be doing a Christmas sale to soften the blow of Boost being discontinued?

woodwaj · 15/10/2016 18:59

Giant bars of cadburys around £6.60 with vat.

Those looking for Mermaid tails... got 4 of these for friends and my DD's. They are fleece, not knitted but a good price and just as fun for the kids. Gave one as a birthday present today for a 7yr old who loved it. Quick delivery too.

Help! I'm stuck for what to buy my DF. He likes wine, his allotment, gardening and eating out. He has an iPad, kindle, kindle fire stick, DAB radio. They have RHS and national trust membership. I have recently brought him a voucher for a lovely lunch for another occasion so wanted to get something tangible but have no ideas.....

leesmum · 15/10/2016 19:19

Not been on for a few days, can someone tell me what Hush is all about? Keep seeing it mentioned. Thanks👍

RoastieToastieReastie · 15/10/2016 19:27

Lavate thanks, have added.

Can add my five year old loves the see inside usbourne books too. She doesn't understand all of it but does enjoy looking at the flaps and finding out what's inside her body. Last week we were talking about the heart and blood and before that the lungs.

hush referral thread here . I'd recommend questions on hush to go on there as they have been but we can all share our excitement in our orders arriving on here if you like.

I think the next referral thread we should say use the last person to posts link so hopefully pretty much everyone gets their link used. Does that sound like a good plan? Saves everyone on the first few posts having theirs used and others not at all.

Lapinlapin · 15/10/2016 19:49

That sounds like a good idea Reastie

Ha, my autocorrect recognised your name. You're famous Smile

Outward how about an allotment book / journal /cookbook.

There look to be quite a lot of nice ones at the book people. Some of them quite bargainous:

BicycleMadeForTwo · 15/10/2016 19:51

outwardbound If he has an allotment and likes gardening how about something like this Funky Veg Kit they have other types available with unusual fruit and veg to grow.

You can get them elsewhere if you'd rather not give your money to IWOOT but annoyingly they seem the cheapest and there may even be a discount code still valid with them.

CarrotVan · 15/10/2016 19:52

How about really good gardening gloves, a nice outdoor plant in a pot or if he has a conservatory/greenhouse then a lemon or fig tree, and some good wine?

You could find an independent wine merchant and give them a budget and number of bottles. Or get a bottle of truly fab wine and some accompanying food

Or a decanter, wine thermometer etc

LaylaTheMiddleAgedWitch · 15/10/2016 19:52

Anyone looking for perfume gifts for others or yourself! - 15% off online at the Fragrance shop. Expires in 5 days.

AbBanana · 15/10/2016 19:55

Outward, we have one of these bird tables in our garden and it's lovely to see birds use it daily.

Couple of years back, I bought these binoculars from John Lewis for my elderly relatives and they were a big hit.

OutwardBound2016 · 15/10/2016 20:02

Good idea on the allotment journal (I got him one last year!), love the veg idea and also the binoculars, I think he has a cheap pair but could upgrade. All ideas very welcome and appreciated.
