Rubbish title but I'm off to bed in a min (it's been one of those days).

As usual links are on post two.

If I've missed anything good (which could be very likely as I'm getting back to work mode atm) let me know.

Afternoon everyone. The Christmas meetings are in full swing here and we've spent today stuffing ourselves on Christmas food. Are you sure it's still only September?! Twinings have buy one get one free on their tea selection boxes which might make a nice gift - they're £13.50 so works out at less than £7 each. Discount code is UNIONJACK. There's also a price match on some Lego kits at The Hut.

Neither code worked for me either Chocolate!

BadgerFace · 16/09/2016 14:15

For those of you after a Playmobil advent calendar I'd wait a bit longer - I just checked my Amazon history and I got the unicorn one last year on 22 September for £9.96 so maybe the discounts haven't happened yet this year... I would set up an alert on them if you want one as the price yoYou back and forth to full price. My order history has also just reminded me that I bought the Playmobil Christmas cottage in the January sales to stash instead of an advent calendar this year - had completely forgotten!!

Thanks to confuugled for the T&J tip - I remember reading it last year but DD was a bit young for T&J then. She'll be nearly 4 this year so I am adding to my basket!

itmustbemyage · 16/09/2016 14:30

HavingAnOffDAy thanks for the Brandattic link I've ordered three things, they were all in the sale then got the 50% discount and free delivery as well. Mostly aimed at more fashionable folk rules me out but some good basic tops as well.

supercaliforniasurfer · 16/09/2016 14:31

Dd keeps wittering on about hair feathers - does anyone have a recommendation for these please?

rogl · 16/09/2016 14:36

Hi Amy, trying to get the twinings deal but it's coming up full price, is there a discount code?

emma1320 · 16/09/2016 14:39

Dontstop my DD is 6 in November and also loves arts and crafts. She has asked for aqua beads. I'm going to smyths in a moment to have a look at them

neddle · 16/09/2016 14:40

Has anyone looked into the Amazon Echo yet? I saw it on the main screen the other day when I logged in. It looks interesting and I wonder whether it would work well in our busy house.

neddle · 16/09/2016 14:44

Looking for more tablet advice.
Does anyone have an iPad mini? I've never looked at one irl - how much smaller than an Air is it as that's what I have.
I assume that it would be suitable for 15,11 and 8 year olds as they're fine using mine.
Is it comparable size wise with a Fire as that's what I'm thinking of for the younger two.
Or should I just go with a Mini each as I can share apps etc across all of them with one account.
Are there good small child friendly cases and insurance policies?
They're probably unlikely to be on offer over Black Friday though - but then I'm probably looking at older models or refurbed anyway.

AmyMumsnet · 16/09/2016 14:45

Apols, it's UNIONJACK - must be going mad after too many mince pies!

I8toys · 16/09/2016 14:46

NextInLine · 16/09/2016 15:20

If anyone is buying the new Fifa PlayStation4 game it is £41.99 in smiths, code FIFA5 takes £5 off making it £36.99.
Probably the cheapest it will be if preordering. It works on the Xbox game and PS3 as well. The code ends today though.

neddle · 16/09/2016 15:35

Thanks next, ds has his birthday tomorrow and intends to buy Fifa17 with his birthday money.
