Thread 6 - the one where the shark beds go astray and we try not to eat our chocolate hauls

Rubbish title but I'm off to bed in a min (it's been one of those days).

As usual links are on post two.

If I've missed anything good (which could be very likely as I'm getting back to work mode atm) let me know.

I don't remember seeing anything about novelty paperclips, but that's reminded me of the post it notes I got a couple of years ago.

Normal size, different pictures
Bunnies
Origami
Alpacas
Animal small ones - I got a few of these and put them in stockings. The small children loved peeling and sticking these for quite some time.

Snooky17 · 15/09/2016 20:51

jakesmummy Im still waiting for a refund from IWOOT too, I paid by PayPal as well there email said 3-5 working days, I sent email and my response was just a repeat of the cancellation email.

Shine0n · 15/09/2016 20:54

todayisabeautifulday Have you used up the free 30 day trial offer for Prime? If so you can do it again with a different email address. Or otherwise you can pay for it and go for the £7.99 per month option and then cancel whenever suits?

sewmanychildren · 15/09/2016 21:00

Today - you can get prime monthly so you only get it until christmas?

Or, you can sign up for a free month's trial. If you've already had one, sometimes they offer it again or your partner/child/pet could get one instead.

Free trial. Affiliate link, I would earn £3 if you sign up for a trial. No obligation to continue. Much appreciation though and I intend to be a christmas angel thing through mn this year (whatever it's called).

If you are quick, there are necklace and earring sets £18 instead of £125(!!) but only 4 left at House of Fraser here

LadyMumble · 15/09/2016 21:21

I pay monthly for Amazon prime

monkeyfacegrace · 15/09/2016 21:24

wutan take that with a pinch of salt. If you look on the Buckley website, its all cheap stuff, and the same set is available from them.

False RRP's really boil my piss.

Romcom · 15/09/2016 21:27

Thankyou to the pps who recommended the Lisa's angels site. Got 4 lovely gifts, total bargains, arrived today with gift bags, free delivery too.
Thanks for the fairy doll suggestions too Flowers

WuTangFlan · 15/09/2016 21:28

Also this vase is £9 instead of £30 - one arrived yesterday and the picture doesn't do it justice. It's got a sort of metallic sheen to it and the bottom is definitely black rather than blue. Really solid too. I've ordered another for me as I love it so much. Will try and post a photo.

WuTangFlan · 15/09/2016 21:29

Dammit. Thanks monkey. I still have much to learn from the master ;)

disneyprincesswannabe · 15/09/2016 21:34

For Amazon prime - become a student! 6 months free trail then £39 a year!

todayisabeautifulday · 15/09/2016 21:35

Thank you all for your input, always appreciated!!
Ehm, let us just say that I already have used more than my email address...
I read about the monthly subscription but if continued it ends up costing more than a yearly one. I do a lot of boring shopping on Amazon (plugs, lights, toilet paper :) ) together with the nice bits, so I have realised that I might go for the yearly one when discounted as with nappies for example I would save a fortune. I've also just seen that the Boots toot toot stuff someone has posted before about in the 3x2 is not exactly cheaper than the prime price on Amazon.
So if you see the discounted one please 'let me know', but it's really so good to have so many people trying to help with all the suggestions, lots of kindness there is on this thread!!

Buttercupsandaisies · 15/09/2016 21:35

Does anyone please have a spare Boden code or voucher?

Is it just me or have we not had many good playmobil deals? Last year there were loads!!

itmustbemyage · 15/09/2016 21:44
  • whenasuitcase I think you want 'metal book marks' from Amazon, sorry can't link, they are in small round boxes and come in lots of different themes I may have ordered one of every kind I have ordered them before and they are lovely, they are usually priced between £1.50 - £2 a box they usually take a few weeks to arrive
stacysmom · 15/09/2016 21:46

Yes, Playmobil bargains have been lacking but then I'm on this thread about 6 weeks earlier than last year so maybe they're still to come!

I did find this today however, which a little cheaper than the official Playmobil shop: Playmobil advent calendar Christmas room: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4489713.htm?CMPID=GS001&$ja=tsid:59156%7Ccid:189934165%7Cagid:18074225245%7Ctid:aud-158518126633:pla-154132951525%7Ccrid:77627767765%7Cnw:g%7Crnd:17452661111682413854%7Cdvc:t%7Cadp:1o2&gclid=Cj0KEQjwjem-BRCCisGJlJ-0h-MBEiQAbCimWExndSJt80XxWzY04OX98QdqrCqSu5-MUCHg6ethEIaAgBx8P8HAQ

Sorry, can't do short links on app!

leesmum · 15/09/2016 21:48

Can someone take the sad act off going on about cannabis!!!

CandyMcJingles · 15/09/2016 21:50

Playmobil advent calendars were cheaper last year, I think they dipped at low as £11 and a few went to £14 for a day or so. But that's not happening this year. They are so good I really want to get one again. I got the unicorn one last year and DD loved it.
I've been tracking Playmobil all year and it's not really dropping.
