Wutang I'm de-lurking to say that your shark blanket looks amazing! And yes, I would love for you to pm me the instructions pretty please! Did you buy the wilko fleece blanket online?

WuTangFlan · 09/09/2016 21:43

Just I bought the blanket in the shop but they do have it online here. PM-ing you now...

WuTangFlan · 09/09/2016 21:44

And thank you for everyone's lovely comments. I haven't sewn anything for years! :)

Mummyshortlegz · 09/09/2016 21:47

In previous years groupon have done beer advent calendars. I can't think what I paid but I'm sure less than the beer hawk one. It included lots of European lagers and pilsners and my Dh liked it.

wyldstile · 09/09/2016 21:49

Maxi micros (can't remember who asked, sorry) - I bought 2 last xmas and the best price I found was on here Scooters . They arrived quickly, lots of mumsnetters had recommended them. No idea if prices still competitive though.

Petal7 · 09/09/2016 21:53

Romcom · 09/09/2016 22:02

user I did mean aldi. They did a wooden kitchen and dolls house last year, though the Asda dolls house is an option too.
Thanks for the very codes, I'll ponder how much I need to spend....

Romcom · 09/09/2016 22:04

Almost forgot. I bought a lovely looking candle in home bargains for £1.99, green and classy looking, had g&t or prose coco. No idea how they smell as not lit it!

scrappydappydoo · 09/09/2016 22:06

For those who are swallowing at the price of the smiggle advent calendar.... last year the works did a stationery advent calendar from 'scribblicious' range was £10 and was pretty good for the money. Don't know if they're doing it again this year though.

Petal7 · 09/09/2016 22:09

Oh- just seen Toot Toot on Tesco only available till today. Oops. But might be worth checking their half price offers in the future.

AdmiralCLingus · 09/09/2016 22:10

RJ I had a thoughthought earlier while rummaging through dds sweet stash the cupboard..... would your dd like something like these little Japanese sweet kits things? They're a bit obscure and you have to YouTube the instructions because they're all in japansese, but me and dd had an absolute whale of a time making them!

RJnomore1 · 09/09/2016 22:14

She would LOVE them thank you!

moonbabyandthebeast · 09/09/2016 22:16

SpaghettiMeatballs · 09/09/2016 22:18

Could anyone recommend a present for a couple about £20 please :)

torthecatlady · 09/09/2016 23:09

No discount codes found for the vodka advent calendar yet Xmas Sad

OvO · 09/09/2016 23:17

Amazon will refund the money for the shark beds - you have to contact the seller first then wait 3 business days for a reply. If that gets you nowhere you can then open a claim and Amazon itself refunds the money.

I emailed yesterday so have a few more days to go. I usually check sellers stats before ordering but this time I mustn't have as they have the worst stats I've ever seen!

torthecatlady · 09/09/2016 23:21

Thanks to the pp poster who mentioned about the Hotel Chocolat Tasting Club!

I have ordered a box for £9.95 which includes delivery and a free bag of drinking chocolate. Any additional boxes thereafter are £22.95 each but I shall be cancelling shortly after receiving my first box Blush

If the use by date is long, I will save it for a Christmas gift for my SIL, if not... well I guess I will have to eat them all! Xmas Grin

Also worth mentioning, I went via topcashback and got £3.53 cashback, so the chocolate box set and the drinking chocolate work out at only £6.42 (Which is brilliant value for Hotel Chocolat).

If you don't have a topcashback account, I thoroughly recommend them! I've been using it for a couple of years and had over £400 in cashback so far! If you join using my referral code, we will both get £5 when you reach £10 cashback Smile - - TCB Link

Hope this helps! Xmas Smile

Haven't posted since I shared the joules wellies on eBay and now i'm gonna share some more footwear bargains but I promise I don't have some weird addiction to only buying shoes Grin. Did some real life shopping today in TK Maxx and got a Timberland coat to put away for DP, £29.99 marked down from £110. Just had a nosey on their website and ordered some ladies timberland boots for £39.99 down from £115 which will be perfect for DM and some mens timberland chelsea boots for a barginous £29.99. Also ordered some Ruby Shoo's for MIL who has about 15 pairs of them (very similar to Irregular Choice shoes and normally go for about £50 a pair) for between £15 and £25 a pair from secretsales, so she now has 3 pairs for xmas Grin. Feeling very pleased with myself today but the bank has just text to confirm it is me and not fraud Blush

Not for kids but amazing savings. Not been through all the threads so if this has been mentioned earlier I apologise for mentioning it again.

Salter knives and knife block £4.50, Salter 1500 watt blender £4.50 and vehicles pink noise cancelling earbuds. Looks like many other sale bargains too.
