Sorry it's on I Want On of Those.

torthecatlady · 10/09/2016 00:00

Almost forgot! My cat gloves (eBay) came today! £1.58 including delivery. Total bargain. Brill for a stocking filler. Took a while to come from China, but so worth the wait.

If people don't want to pay £££ for a beer advent calendar, and are happy to make one up themselves, then it's worth checking out the aldi beer range.

Last year they had several different christmas themed beers that were selling for £1.25 a bottle - Sainsburys etc had the same thing on sale for £1.99 a bottle or occasionally 3 for £5. They also have lots of other nice bottled beers for £1-£1.25 a bottle that's much more expensive elsewhere.

You could buy 24 bottles of beer from there for considerably less than the beer calendars; with a little of the savings you could get a set of advent bags or some wrapping paper and labels to hide and number them. Poundland sold a jolly 'beer crate' that sold really well and was back for father's day so I bet there will be a christmas version of it again - you could get it and the advent beer could be magically delivered to it by the christmas elf each day - so no door to open but guessing given a choice most would go for a beer rather than a door...

Or if you don't want to do a full advent calendar, you can always do a 12 days of Christmas countdown which brings the cost down considerably Xmas Grin
