Tinkerbell is up to £21.80 Sad

RoastieToastieReastie · 02/09/2016 21:30

Meant to add, went to m&s this week and they had half price boxes of chocolates and biscuits and most had a date several months into next year. Got a box of chocolate biscuits on the pretence it's for dds piano teacher for Christmas but dh will probably eat them all as soon as he finds them

Argh! Had knex rollercoaster in basket and went back to £20- that'll teach me for trying to save on postage! Please let me know if it goes bak down again.

Chocoholicmumma · 02/09/2016 21:36

For anyone who's child has one of those styling head things I found that my daughters one tangled too but a tip is to mix a little fabric conditioner in a spray bottle with some water and spray generously over the hair and brush, it smooths and de-tangles it. Kept my dd amused for hours sorting hers out. Hope that helps someone

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 02/09/2016 21:37

Thanks for the link to the talking unicorn Wondermoomin. A perfect gift for my friends daughter who has to spend a lot of time in hospital!

justgivemeamo · 02/09/2016 21:39

choco Flowers thank you! what a great idea!!! will try it.

LavateLasManos · 02/09/2016 21:39

methen I bought the Knex rollercoaster ages ago, it keeps going up and down in price. Keep it in your basket and check periodically, I managed to get it for £10 that way after initially missing out on the first time I'd heard about it going cheap

KitKatCHA · 02/09/2016 21:39

Also Frozen Snow Glow Elsa is £18.99 in the Argos ebay shop, normally about £30ish. They have a fair whack of cheap stuff at the minute so worth a browse

Methenyouplus4 · 02/09/2016 21:41

Thank you for tip lava

Methenyouplus4 · 02/09/2016 21:43

Grrrrr and now Wilko website won't let me checkout!

iknowimcoming · 02/09/2016 21:46

Place marking

SelfieStick · 02/09/2016 21:52

Great tip, choco!

99percentchocolate · 02/09/2016 21:56

Has anybody received their cloudpets yet? Does anyone know how they work? The woman in the entertainer told me that they only have a 30metre radius so you can only send messages within the house, is that right? Was hoping to buy one for DD and her cousin in Ireland so that they could keep in touch.

HungryHorace · 02/09/2016 21:59

Ah, I love the M&S biscuits. I'll have to go tomorrow.

happyscrappy · 02/09/2016 22:02

selfie I think I did order the whole clearance section last year Blush

I got loads of party bag fillers for DD and can recommend

flower garlands 6 for £2.95

pack of 4 cute rubbers 10p/pack

doughnut lip gloss £1 each

And the retro pin the tail on the donkey was really cute

LavateLasManos · 02/09/2016 22:03

99percent AFAIK the owner (or their pare t/guardian) of the cloud pet has to download an app. Messages get sent to the app by others then you have to send them on to the cloud pet. So the device with the app has to be within 30m for the messages to send. That's my understanding of it anyway, might not be right but that's the way I've interpreted it

SilverGiraffe7 · 02/09/2016 22:06

99percent - cloudpet description says: "With the CloudPet Dog, friends can record and send messages from anywhere in the world using the special app." And "Alternatively, little ones can record their message and send it to a CloudPet Friend anywhere in the world!"
So sounds that would work really well!

99percentchocolate · 02/09/2016 22:15

That's what I thought, but the woman doing the demo said that dd couldn't send a message to Ireland. Sounds like she didn't know what she was talking about! I was about to buy loads too!!

FireflyGirl · 02/09/2016 22:21

Hone Bargains had these squidgy Minions cushions in, £1.99. They were really big for the price - about 50cm round!

Ahh just watched a video and I think I know where she got confused. You have to record the message using either the app or the bear - do you cant send it bear to bear. You'd also have to sync the app and the bear so if dd wanted to speak to her cousin then we would have to sync both bears to the one account and share it.

LittleReindeerwithcloggson · 02/09/2016 22:24

My understanding was the same as Lavates in that the message can't be sent directly to the pet but through an app which needs to be near the pet. So message can be sent across the world from 2 kids but the parents need to be the one to actually put it on the pet. I could be so wrong though!

LostMyRubySlippers · 02/09/2016 22:25

ohholyfuck I got a deal on the tomy foam cone bath toys, think it was back on prequel thread...
They are on groupon- £16 each but £29 if you buy two. You can then use a voucher code to get £10 off £25 spend- just googled & think code is SAVE10
You have to be a new customer to use this so had to create an account for DH!
There is also £2 delivery to pay.. So meant I got 2 of them for £21 delivered

99percentchocolate · 02/09/2016 22:35

Thank you all!

My own tip: babame has their mystery boxes back in stock. For £30 you buy something for the value of £40-£50. You have no idea what it is so its a bit of a gamble but you can select girl, boy, or anything. Make sure you add the age of the child in the order comments too.
I've ordered this before and the quality of the toys are fantastic. Definitely worth more than £30.
