Does anyone have an idea of when to start looking out for supermarket deals? I need to source a bottle of Bells whiskey for my grandad. DC1 is due in November, so the sooner I get Christmas organised the better!

Got an email to say that my cornerstone order is on the way. I'm quite excited!!

woodwaj · 01/09/2016 21:52

Right you clever lot. Can any of you find me a discount code for anywhere that sells the hot wheels ultimate garage? 65 is my best!

jrek · 01/09/2016 21:55

Balletgirlmum I just bought mine there- the excitement! Lots of bargains thanks!! Looking forward to mint velvet 20%- I remember missing out on the few days when 20% + 20% discounts worked last year. Won't miss it this time!

RJnomore1 · 01/09/2016 21:55

Can anyone refer me to flaviar? Please?

Finlaggan · 01/09/2016 21:58

For anyone who has bought the mermaid blankets, can you advise how the sizing is? DD is 7 but quite tall... Thanks!

HungryHorace · 01/09/2016 22:15

Or is that the one you've found?

ladylambkin · 01/09/2016 22:16

Thanks for new thread. Nothing new to report as yet but anything I find will be added Flowers

woodwaj · 01/09/2016 22:19

Thats the one i found! Smile

Haudyerwheesht · 01/09/2016 22:34

Thanks Reastie

StubbleTurnips · 01/09/2016 22:35

Not a bargain but does anyone know when the m&s Christmas food brochure comes out? We use our topcashback from throughout the year to pay for chrimbo dinner and I love looking at the food pictures

cookiefiend · 01/09/2016 23:24

RJ, it won't let me log into flaviar right now, but when I did last week I couldn't find any mention of referrals so I wonder if they have stopped it?

Balletgirlmum · 01/09/2016 23:33

I think referrals are now only for those who pay the membership subscription.

Thanks to these threads, I'm now eyeing up the facial hairstyles of all the men in my life. Facial hair aside, I'm so pleased they're up and running at full speed again. I've been lurking with intent, and finally have something to contribute:

Spy Gear dart trap

Only £3 at Wilko, with free collection from store. I've been waiting for it to drop under £7 on Amazon (currently £6.45, but for Prime customers only), so a really excellent price.

Wilko seem to have quite a few toy bargains at the moment, but not all of them are obvious as RRPs are not displayed. I spotted some other Spy Gear stuff at what look to be good prices, plus...

£5 Wubble Bubble Ball 90cm ball/bubble thingie

£5 Scooby doo figures I bought these for then-5-year-old DD last year and they have been very well played with

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/09/2016 00:13

Thanks reastie

confuugled1 · 02/09/2016 00:16

The Lego space starter set is now out of stock Sad at Boots

I can second the Scooby set of figures - they also have them in B&M (but for about £7 I think).

DS has had them for a couple of years and they've been really well used. They're a bit bigger than Playmobil people but small enough that they can still be used with Playmobil/Imaginext/etc toys. We have a castle, boat and pyramid for example and having the Scooby gang to play in them gives them a whole different dimension.

And there are loads of cheap different Scooby films or sets of episodes on DVD, often themed, so if you did have already have a castle or princess palace or similar, chances are that you could find an appropriate Scooby dvd to give the two together and inspire all sorts of different fun on existing toys.

confuugled1 · 02/09/2016 00:26

Thanks Reastie for the thread.

And thanks also to DownHere - on the last thread you mentioned you had some old Beano annuals when I said I was looking for Beano things for DS2. Just realised that I never did say thank you for the offer - it was really kind of you. However we have now got quite a few of them - DH has picked them up off Amazon or the Book Depository when he's seen them.

ladylambkin · 02/09/2016 01:43

Thanks to the person who posted about the code for £30 off a Fiorelli Boston Bag from Runway Accessories I just ordered mines (as a treat to myself)

For reference the code is BOSTON15 ... £45 bag for £15

FireflyGirl · 02/09/2016 02:12

ELC has some half price Happyland, eg

Cherry Lane cottage £25

Zoo £35

Train £25

Village £50 - I got it for less than this earlier in the year, but I think this might be the lowest it will go before Christmas now.

Placemarking x

Awoof · 02/09/2016 05:58

M and catalogue was first week of November I think ☺

LikeSilver · 02/09/2016 06:11

Thank you Reastie Flowers

RJnomore1 · 02/09/2016 06:52

Thank you flaviar folk. The website says add your email address to a waiting list Hmm

I am looking for a particular run for DH. It's called Hurricane dark rum and I can't find it anywhere, I wondered if they had it. Is anyone able to see?

Also the M and S food catalogue is usually online by end September and I store just after, the free wine offer is for people who order by the start of November so it's out long before that.

stiffstink · 02/09/2016 07:00

I got the Weebles farm and tractor from Boots website for £21 for both (usually £30+ on Amazon for the farm and £15+ for the tractor)! That'll be great for DD at Christmas as she'll be 10 months by then.

DS(4) loved Playmags in one of the play tents at Geronimofest so I've been tracking the 100 piece bonus pack on Amazon using camelcamelcamel - bought this morning for £54.99, lowest ever price! Usually £109.99.

I'm nearly done for my two!

Poppiesway · 02/09/2016 07:01

Thankyou to who posted the gliders; I just ordered them for my Beaver Scouts for Christmas party Smile I really want the mn Christmas emojis up!
