I bought the rock crawler last week. It does look good but only downside i can see is it takes a lot of batteries 6 x AA

MumboNumber5 · 05/09/2016 07:22

Rock crawler bought! DS is sorted for birthday and Christmas (never been this organised!).

No bargains to report, but what I do with Amazon is buy items individually and select 'no rush' delivery as this gives £1 credit each time which I get to spend on lovely books for my kindle.

d270r0 · 05/09/2016 07:30

Woodwaj I haven't found batteries to be too much of an issue. In the car itself which takes 4 you can use rechargeable batteries so don't have to keep buying new ones. They do run out quite quickly but I always have spare rechargeables ready charged so easy to swop them.
In the actual controller, which takes 2, it won't take rechargeables for some reason but they last for ages in the controller.

VinoTime · 05/09/2016 08:02

School days Lottie Doll down to £12.99 on Amazon lightening deals. Ends at around 11.30am.

Zorion · 05/09/2016 08:05

Regarding Cornerstone, once you actually have the credit here is my link just in case! how do you actually buy the other items? There's no option to add a product to a basket?

Do you just have to order another box and move the delivery dates forward, and not cancel the subscription until that box has been delivered?

Confused, sorry!

CocoaBum · 05/09/2016 08:11

Zorion- that's what I was planning to do.

DownHereInTheHorridHouse · 05/09/2016 08:15

Finally gave up and ordered a razor Grin - referral link just in case anyone on all of Mumsnet doesn't have one! www.cornerstone.co.uk/7lin0090

Whoever was asking for tween things including cosmetics, I mentioned the Kiko sale on the last thread. It's really good stuff and nail varnish was only £1 last time I got some, and there were about 100 colours to choose from.

PinkSquash · 05/09/2016 10:01

Belatedly marking place as I missed the previous thread Sad I'm currently browsing the online Xmas pages, getting some inspiration for my flat.

Have absolutely no idea what to buy for my DSs this year, they're 10 and 4 so I need to have a ponder.

SideOrderofChip · 05/09/2016 10:13

Dont do what was suggested up thread unless you want the pre order item

If the add on is dispatched before the pre order you still have to have the pre order item or return the add on.

Ive been stung by that befpre

Nzou1050 · 05/09/2016 10:20

Zorion that's what I did. Bought the date right forward for the next box from cornerstone. Originally I ordered razor and scrub and then thought I'd changed my product selection for the new box to get the shave gel and after shave balm. It used my referral credit no problem, billed yesterday, supposed to be being sent today. Unfortunately though the change of items didn't save for some reason so I'm being sent scrub and blades again Sad. Have emailed their customer service but not heard anything yet.

So my advice is double check that it's saved your change of products if you want something different in the second box before you change the delivery date.

Ratbagcatbag · 05/09/2016 10:31

Can anyone recommend where to get a nice stocking from? I'd like personalised if possible. I'm not keen on the ones from studio and dd who is now 3years old is still using her first Christmas one. 😊

Changingagain · 05/09/2016 10:35

To the person who was wanting studio / ace codes, 073 gives £10 off but, I just tried 012 which gives free postage to see if they would work together. They don't but 012 reduced the price of all the sale items in my basket and halved the total cost despite only saying free p&p, so definitely worth trying especially if you're in a £7.50 postage area like me.

To the person looking for globes, this definitely isn't a bargain but there is a prime only lightning deal at 5.05 today on an interactive globe. It would have to be a major present but it does look good.

MooseyMoo · 05/09/2016 10:47

Lidl have a few cycling items on Thursday (gloves £3.99).

They've also got some Dynamo torches on Sunday for £2.99 - always a good stocking filler

CoshPunt · 05/09/2016 10:55

Oh no.. Matalan's christmas stuff is making me very twitchy. Does anyone have any codes?

MooseyMoo · 05/09/2016 10:56

Ratbag What about Lands End for a stocking

Ratbagcatbag · 05/09/2016 11:06

moosey they're lovely. Do they do a UK version or is it just states? (Everything in dollars).
And does they ever have any referral links or discount codes?

QOD · 05/09/2016 11:12

Thanks banofee
I'd looked on eBay but got tied up with stickers and costumes etc

MooseyMoo · 05/09/2016 11:19

Sorry, hadn't realised that was the US site. Here's the uk site and these styles are reduced to £12

They don't do lots of codes but have a search and you might find something.

FeelingSmurfy · 05/09/2016 11:25

Just ordered the rock crawler, noticed items related to what you have bought, it's filled with stuff mentioned on here Grin obviously there are that many of us that have collective buying habits that Amazon thinks it's worth recommending our finds to everyone who stumbles across one of them

MrsCrimbo74 · 05/09/2016 11:29

I've just ordered 3 of the rock crawlers, thank you Grin

Tiggles · 05/09/2016 11:31

FeelingSmurfy I was just thinking similar!

Tiggles · 05/09/2016 11:41

Ebay have lots of personalised stockings in lots of different styles. for example

inneedofchocolate · 05/09/2016 12:12

Would really appreciate it if someone could please use my cornerstone link. Their stuff looks fabulous
