The fruit memo pads mentioned by ninjaturtlesmum earlier are much cheaper if you buy them on ebay.com - they work out about 60p if you go through ebay.com (you should be able to use your ebay.co.uk details if you're already set up for it) here and here

If you look at the general listings there are also all sorts of other shaped memo pads including a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, cupcakes, ipads, money, and more.

For Christmas, I liked the Christmas Tree memo pad along the same lines - £1.19. They also used to be widely and cheaply available on ebay.com but I couldn't see any there just now.

I know HungryHorace, crazy isn't it?! I couldn't believe it!

Oh well done Chips! You've saved loads. I hadn't realised just how many bits I'd managed to pick up for DD, but she's got a lot already. I think I'm nearly finished with her stocking things, and for under the tree she's actually got quite a few 'big' items like the Nerf bow, DC superhero girls WW shield and the Lego riding club set. Sitting at £80.15 for big presents and £33.08 for her stocking so far. I don't know what she's wanting as her main present this year, though I was thinking about a Kindle for her as she loves to read and book space is limited on her shelf. Currently well under budget!

Has anyone else received their Lottie dolls? Mine were packaged and sent by Amazon HmmConfused £4.95 on effing postage and they use Amazon - the company I pay a monthly Prime membership to for free one day delivery? And there was no order confirmation in the box either.

paddlenorapaddle · 03/09/2016 20:00

Thanks for this thread Reastie I'm saving a fortune does anyone know where I can get really nice decorations from not too expensive ?

Balletgirlmum · 03/09/2016 20:00

Dd swears by Nike gym/sportswear from Sports Direct (it's usually last year's lines at a discount). She also likes their USA Pro brand which wears well. (But Nike dry-fit material has the edge)

insan1tyscartching · 03/09/2016 20:01

If you have a Tiger store nearby, I bought dd the flamingo lamp on the Prezzybox link for a fiver and there were notebooks, pens and tins with flamingos on as well.

imsorryiasked · 03/09/2016 20:02

Trying how about this?
Plush Flamingo £7.50

Wayfarersonbaby · 03/09/2016 20:14

Dotcomgiftshop have a new range called Flamingo Bay - just type "flamingo" into their search box. Lots of neat stuff, from a flamingo watering can to lunch boxes, stationery, lights and wrapping paper Smile

d270r0 · 03/09/2016 20:17

Amazon have a lego bionicle half price, £3.49 down from £6.99.

d270r0 · 03/09/2016 20:22

Anyone know where to get those personalised plastic mugs for kids from? Have found some on amazon and ebay for the right names but for £££, am sure somewhere in real life must sell them cheaper.

HungryHorace · 03/09/2016 20:26

I've seen that kind of thing at garden centres, d270r0.

FireflyGirl · 03/09/2016 20:27

Not vastly bargainous, but possibly an amusing stocking filler:

Edible eyes to add to food, £3.91 delivered.

More expensive, edible eyes with eye lashes £4.05

Paddle Matalan have some nice decorations, and they're online already here, Xmas Grin or else I bought some lovely ones from Next last year using the gift card I got when DS was born, so technically they were free and very bargainous

FireflyGirl · 03/09/2016 20:29

Paddle they have done them on 3 for 2 for the last few years, so ogle them for now but hold off buying yet!

d270r0 · 03/09/2016 20:34

Thanks Horace, I knew I'd seen them around somewhere in the past but couldn't think where- have a couple of big garden centres near me so will go and have a check.

TryingtobePrepared · 03/09/2016 20:37

Wow I'm so impressed! Posted on here made kids tea, did bedtime etc now so many flamingo bits to look at thank you everyone especially the tiger and lush suggestions as I can make it to both in my lunch hour am feeling grateful and hopeful 😊

BrickInTheWall · 03/09/2016 20:41

Thanks Monkey for the go pro accessory link.. that will be great for difficult to buy for FIL Thanks

d270r0 · 03/09/2016 20:42

The laser pegs rocket on amazon is actually even cheaper if you buy it from one of the sellers at the side, netpricedirect, £3.99 + £1.50 delivery so £5.49 in total.
Looks really good, good reviews with 10 light up bits that are compatible with lego.

Laser pegs rocket

evelynj · 03/09/2016 20:49

Woo hoo! Really hope to get the Hp Lego at boots, Lego is all my 6yo is into at the mo. I've bought a couple of summer bits in the sale for next year that will go in as filler with the toiletries! Plan to just buy a few things they really love/need & less filler but these threads usually put an end to those intentions & I buy lots!

I'm after cool musical/light up cards for the dc as we found one that dh got last year for his bday & they loved it-may have something to do with the singing underpants on it though!

d270r0 · 03/09/2016 20:52

Some nice light up figures to go with the above rocket, a pack of 3 robots with interchangable parts that light up and compatible with lego for £4.99 with free delivery if you go via one of the sellers at the side.

Light up figures

VinoTime · 03/09/2016 21:05

d270r0 the laser pegs rocket is £24.99 on the Argos website Shock

Nabbed one at £5.49. Thanks a bunch!

Wenchelda · 03/09/2016 21:10

Thanks to tiggles and d270r0 for pointing out the laser peg rocket is even cheaper on Amazon. Thought I was finally able to contribute to the threads but my groupon bargain wasn't very bargainous (is that a word?!) so I'll stick to lurking and leave the bargain hunting to the experts Wink Glad I hadn't ordered it get - I'll go with the Amazon link and get the mini figures as well for less than the price of just the rocket on groupon!

VinoTime · 03/09/2016 21:13

Christmas moulds ideal for making festive chocolates with the kids on a rainy day or popping into hampers? £1.34 with free p+p.

VoldemortsNipple · 03/09/2016 21:16

I went to Costco today and they had Halloween decorations on sale. That means the Christmas ones won't be far behind them. They also had some Christmas design ribbon in which is about £6.50 for 45 metres, it's fantastic quality. They've also started to stock their gifts. I noticed a Nutella crepe set and Pannatone. Sorry, I didn't notice the prices.

LavateLasManos · 03/09/2016 21:18

Vino I have the same mould, bought it from Poundland a few years ago.

VinoTime · 03/09/2016 21:22

Plush Elf on the Shelf figures for £2.23 if you like the idea of EotS but don't want to pay the ridiculous sum of money it costs. They do the standard red boy and girl dolls, but also do green and pink ones too Smile

Delivery is free and reviews are excellent.

BustingOut · 03/09/2016 21:26

Thanks for all the bargains posted today ! I have bought so far today the jawbone, laser rocket and Christmas moulds!
