Evening all!

Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

Questions the last time I ordered from EB they took aaaaages. Annoying given fairly high p+p cost.

CheeseAndSprinkleys · 29/07/2016 11:48

I checked studio, they've sold out of their clearance wrapping paper, but thankyou Flowers

I found Blaze and the Monster Machines busy books for £2.99 at my local Home Sense yesterday (Chelmsford). Other busy books were priced at £4.99 so not sure if that was an error or not, but snapped up a couple to give as birthday presents

Cheese it won't be long until Costco have their christmas paper in - it's usually end of July/early august.

And while it usually sounds like it's a lot when it's about £7-8/roll - if you get the double sided stuff, it's fantastic quality, you effectively get 2 designs for the price of one, and the roll is so big that it goes on forever... I bought my first roll about 6 years ago and it still has plenty on it. I have had to buy another one so that I could vary my wrapping a little after the first 3 years! Each roll has about 50 metres on it. (although being an american company, they use area rather than length so it's not quite so straightforward!).

I've used it for all my present wrapping over the years, apart from presents for my dc (they get a roll of wrapping paper each to save me having to label stuff, plus Santa has his own wrapping paper) so it really has lasted a long time and thus falls into the bargaineous category!

allthingsred · 29/07/2016 18:19

Sorry no link. But went it to primark today & they had avenger backpacks for £1.
Got my son one for next term & put 2 away towards nephews Xmas x
