ObiWanCannoli · 06/08/2015 09:11

Peppa my dd will be 9 in January.

In her sock this year will be:

A lush seasonal bath bomb
A clawdeen monster high doll
Monster High DVD
Fox lip balm
As big as height chart
Point horror Christmas book
Slipper socks or Leg Warmers
Chocolate coins
Satsuma

Not sure it will help it is hard when the get bigger.

Picklesauage · 06/08/2015 10:33

Peppa, with my year 6 boys in school were soon jealous of one boy who got a driving experience as part of his gift.

I think experiences at this age are often better, go ape, segways, coasteering etc.

DD (10) has announced that she wants a penny board!! To me & you thats a skateboard. Apparently its the newest thing to have???!! So i think ill go with that. It's about £50 so ill look around before i buy. Peppa maybe your DD would like that.

Greenrabbit · 06/08/2015 11:55

I was in Home Bargains this morning and bought this Sofia the first Monopoly for £6.99.

I also bought this Mickey Mouse Play Doh set for £4.99.

MissRainbowBrite · 06/08/2015 12:45

Yogababymum.
We used slickwillies.co.uk for DS's Penny skateboard last year. Really good prices, great service and a bit closer to Christmas they had an offer where it came with a free Penny cap and in a special Christmas box.

The Liberty eBay outlet has new items, there's travel card holders for £13!.

GerrardWinstanley · 06/08/2015 17:06

The Happy Puzzle Company has a decent sale on now. Bought some quality stocking fillers for £2 or less. Some of the things I bought this morning have already sold out!

HerdOfRhino · 06/08/2015 20:20

Thanks for The Happy Puzzle Company link. I just got some good bits from there. Smile

Marks and Spencer have a 12 hour sale on a limited selection of womenswear here.
Includes some jewellery and watches which may make for nice presents

GerrardWinstanley · 06/08/2015 20:34

You're welcome herd. If you sign up to their mailing list you get an early tip off the day before a sale starts Smile

HerdOfRhino · 06/08/2015 20:45

Brilliant! Smile

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 06/08/2015 21:12

Does anyone know if stompeez are actually any good? Or not worth the money?

Reastie · 06/08/2015 21:21

Interested in responses on that girl as dd has been asking for them for two years now and this year I may relent.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 06/08/2015 21:24

DD is only just 3 so wasn't sure if she'd be heavy enough to make the flaps move without jumping up and down! Also how is sizing? Extra small says 7-9 on Argos but not sure if this is true

daddykyller · 06/08/2015 22:38

BollockyBollocks · 06/08/2015 23:59

Thanks for reminding me about the Liberty stuff fluffy. I really like the navy one for my dad but it's quite floral inside? Not sure if it would be a bit too feminine.
Cinderella wellies down form £10 to £3.50 in tesco.

wigglesrock · 07/08/2015 00:25

Reastie - my older two had Stompeez a few years ago, they were never enamoured with them. Dd3 Smile loves them - She's getting her own pair for Christmas/birthday - they come up a little small size wise, she can make the ears move much more easily than the older two who were heavier and taller than her when they got them. She's been wearing them from when she was 3.5 years.

TelephoneIgnoringMachine · 07/08/2015 00:32

Ok, I'm getting on board. DD will be around 3.6 by Christmas. Not a clue what to get her. We have so many toys we're bursting at the seams. (Small house + hoarder DH + MIL buys something most weeks).

I'm thinking activities rather than toys. Off to read the thread. All suggestions gratefully received!

Hobby craft have reduced their Paint your own money box to £1.50. Great wee stocking fillers, I bought a few for upcoming birthday pressies. www.hobbycraft.co.uk/paint-your-own-pig-money-box/569890-1008
