enderwoman · 03/08/2015 00:46

The code BIGTHANKS will get you £10 off a £50 order at Amazon today. Only applicable to stuff sold by Amazon (not third party sellers)

Nearlyadoctor · 03/08/2015 09:03

Just used Amazon BIGTHANKS to order Lego Elves Skyra Castle for £59.89. Dd loves Lego elves, lowest it has been since release according to camelcamelcamel is £68.14 so taking a chance it won't have a mega pre christmas drop in price as a new range.

HeyDuggee · 03/08/2015 10:51

Thank you enderwoman- just reordered ink cartridges for my printer and got a "free" orchard game thanks to the coupon.

HeyDuggee · 03/08/2015 11:15

Soph - if you bought the Paw Patrol Tower, please open it and check it out rather than saving it for xmas.

I bought one and returned it a couple of days later becauase it is the sorriest, overpriced piece of cheapest plastic tat I've ever seen. My DM bought it, so I thought it cost about £15 not £43 and we were returning it because it doesn't work!

The tower is so flimsy and isn't weighed down enough at the bottom so that when you slide a toy down that the slide thing, it comes apart.

Kids got bored of it falling apart after a day of trying to play with it. When my mom gave me the receipt so we could return it, I was livid at how overpriced it was!

candykane25 · 03/08/2015 12:01

I haven't bought a christmas present for a least a week and am jonesing for a bargain.
Need something cheap for a bro in law who is never happy with his presents and something for a 1yr old girl.

SideOrderofChips · 03/08/2015 12:03

THANK YOU enderwoman!!

I used the code agains the pre order of Lego Dimensions. With the VAT taken off and the code it has made it a far more reasonable £69 :D

Thanks Enderwoman - got loads of pre-orders. Just cancelled two and then added again for the £10 off!

daddykyller · 03/08/2015 13:22

Anyone else had one of these lovely emails from Amazon? :)

Just type BIGTHANKS in at the checkout and get £10 off when you spend 50.
I'm gonna head over to the Amazon daily deals page myself to see what's already reduced today :)

daddykyller · 03/08/2015 13:24

Oops lol
Browser must have still been on the previous page. Looks like that's old news already

Sophmech1 · 03/08/2015 14:14

If you have Sky you can "Buy and Keep" the movie Rio for free today.

www.skystore.com/product/rio/a60fa9cc-a623-4910-b701-fc12871f4484

Basically download Rio and they will send you a DVD of the movie for free.

HeyDuggee · 03/08/2015 17:54

Sophie, the individual pups that have retracting bits and bobs are really good - they've taken a bashing and still work. I hoped it was just ours and it was a fault but then I read lots of negative reviews. They could've have sorted it and weighed the base down properly since - that's why I suggested you open and inspect it now.

I've learned to do that anyway from reading others' experience of a part missing, etc and unable to do a simple exchange at end of Dec because they bought it in July. Grin

Not read all the threads but there are some great sale items on the entertainer. A paw patrol 52 piece art set half price at £5, a Robo mermaid £8 I was very impressed by the range of items.

Also bought a nook from Amazon, it's a bit like a kindle and was £73 with postage.
