Cosmetics fairy have three for two on and loads in their sale- eye dust powder in neon colours for 25p and hundreds of other things. Free delivery over £10. Great for teenager stockings or beauty hampers. I got a pile of stuff last year for someone and it was fine. Only thing is you can only order a max of four nail polish per order due to shipping regulations.

What's everyone's thoughts on Amazon this year? I've relied on it loads over the last couple
Of years using camel camel when items drop & had some fantastic bargains that way but postage now really makes it difficult to just buy one item if desired.

I usually start shopping sept/oct so I'm thinking about it now!

Kraggle · 21/07/2015 07:22

Finn normally I would create a new Amazon account to get free prime for a month, I usually do this for Black Friday though not just general purchases, but you can always set up a host of different emails and keep changing every time your free trial runs out.

SideOrderofChips · 21/07/2015 08:03

Honestly? I just paid for the prime. Its worth it to me as i buy alot through amazon and it means i can carry on with my bargain hunting. And DD2 likes watching my little pony and thomas the tank engine on prime as well

My local Tesco has Frozen duvet sets down from £14 to £3.50. I think it's because a new design has come out but the older one is nice

IsabellaRoarsome · 21/07/2015 14:37

Just came on to post that newmrsx! Great minds! Wink Mine also has barbies for £7.

Finlaggan · 21/07/2015 20:28

Thanks will check out prime see if it's worth it. I'm missing amazon as I just don't order much now due to the postage charges.

SideOrderofChips · 21/07/2015 21:02

Yes its a pain having to pay to get what used to be free but i see it as worth it for all the money i get to save long term

Must. Stop. Buying. Stuff.

My present cupboards (in the plural) are already practically full and it's only July Shock . I'm considering beginning wrapping in September to soften the blow of DD starting school to cheer me up.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 22/07/2015 19:35

I find amazon prime worth it - we don't have a tv license so watch that and Netflix .

if u select 'no rush delivery' you get a £1 voucher to use against media purchases (rent a film, buy kindle books) it also works if u order each thing separately rather than a bulk order.
so on prime day when u got £3 per order I got £21 worth of vouchers. dd's were chuffed when we rented home for 48hrs and I bought an expensive kindle book rather than cheapo crappy ones!

works out about £6.50 per month which I often 'make' back in vouchers for kindle books and savings from buying deals as they appear. Grin

SideOrderofChips · 22/07/2015 20:01

Reastie I softened the blow of DD2 starting reception....because im giving birth lol

And the boxes are starting to pile up in my room....

Reastie I have already started wrapping! With paper bought in january sales obviously Smile

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 22/07/2015 20:13

Damn, missed the burts bees!

cookiefiend · 22/07/2015 20:56

I love wrapping usually, but with a newborn his year I will need to cut it back. Usually I wrap everything for everyone individually. So I am thinking bags and tissue papers. Bought £1 bags from dotcomgifyshop which are reusable shoppers for all the women and am now looking for a manlier reusable bag for the men. I will buy tissue paper to make it a bit more exciting and I will wrap everything for children- as unwrapping is soooo much fun. I am wondering now if I should just wrap things now!

Reastie · 22/07/2015 20:57

Chips when's the due date? Congrats

My Christmas paper is always January sales paper candy Grin . Worst mistake on that front was to get a roll of paper which I didn't realise until we got home had the year on it so had to use it all up on dd who was too young to work out why it had 2011 all over it when it was 2012!
