As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

If I’ve missed anything good from any last threads onto the list please let me know.

I've been a bit rubbish and not updated from last thread. But things are settling down for Christmas now so I'm working on the basis it's more a share of sales bits coming up/how the presents went down on the big day.

OP posts:

Ignore my previous post Sad it sold out while my payment was being processed Angry

Elvish · 19/12/2014 13:50

whatsonyourplate have you thought about making a jumper for him? I saw a link recently for a tutorial to make mittens out of an old jumper, basically just cut out the shape and sew the open bits up. You could do it with a jumper or t-shirt and use some felt or pens to decorate?

Something like on this ...

whatsonyourplate · 19/12/2014 16:02

Thanks elvish I might have to resort to that, but I'm not very crafty. I'd ask my mum to help as she's better at things like that but I know she'll be in flat out pre-Christmas panic mode.

NorksEnormous · 19/12/2014 16:23

Who was looking for a white toblerone?

SweetPeaPods · 19/12/2014 16:27

What's on your plate- I was in boots yesterday and they had clothes in for cuddly toys, they didn't look very big so not sure if they would fit? Sorry I didn't catch the make.

EustaciaVye · 19/12/2014 17:13

I ordered a robofish as my last minute twitch. It was on dds xmas list Grin

LightastheBreeze · 19/12/2014 17:19

cookiefiend · 19/12/2014 17:25

cookiefiend · 19/12/2014 17:26

Should say- this si even though they appear out of stock on the website- so it seems worth actually phoning the store.

Pigleychez · 19/12/2014 17:27

BHS has free next day delivery today for any last minute bits.

BettysFestiveFrolics · 19/12/2014 17:37

Twitched and bought the Maps and Animaliuk books. Thanks Reastie! I, not sure they're for anyone but I think they'll be fab additions to an otherwise fiction packed bookcase and hopefully DD will like them when she gets older assuming she'll be a geek like me Xmas Grin

missmakesstuff · 19/12/2014 18:49

Iggi I got a free trial of Amazon family, like prime but lots of other stuff too, might be worth a look.
thanks all for these threads, I am pretty much sorted now and have saved so much money! I am still looking for two photo frames, some food to add to the fattoria goody box I got sent to a date night box I'm making for dh and now dd is still going on about a bloody ninja turtle! I don't want to spend more than a few pounds, she has no idea what they even are but has not stopped saying that Santa will bring her one!
help!

missmakesstuff · 19/12/2014 18:52

I should add that I really, really hate them and she is 4.....
they had bubble bath in sainsbos I think but all gone now..really don't want to have to buy one but she's not asking for anything else..

Elvish · 19/12/2014 19:02

missmake, I bought photo frames in boots today, they were all half price. You might get some turtle stuff there too?

RJnomore · 19/12/2014 19:07

Oh yamas did you have to post that about the my little pony stuff in home bargains.

I think I have half of toys r us in the loft but...such good prices and I don't have those ones!

I'm being strong and not ordering Thr website ones but I am going to be in m and s next door to a home bargains on Sunday and if I pop in and see them there...

MsAspreyDiamonds · 19/12/2014 19:17

Whats onyourplate have you thought about buying premature baby clothes to fit the toy monkey. My ds was prem so I know that they can make them really tiny. Try boots, or mothercare for prem clothes.

Mipe · 19/12/2014 19:17

Probably too late for Christmas but I have bought a few of these for the present cupboard, One Stitch at a Time only £3 and Knit One Purl One only £2.50 at the Book People, free delivery over £10 with code AFSNOWY Smile.

zipzap · 19/12/2014 23:45

I popped into Smyths today to see if they had a kaos trap for Skylanders after reading about it on here. They didn't (apparently they had a delivery of 8 yesterday and they were sold in an hour) but they did have Skylanders giants - packets of 3 and single ones all reduced to £4.99 instead of £25/£12 ish. And it was buy 3 for the price of 2 so I managed to get 3 different sets of 3 for a tenner that can all be used in the new game, which is just over a pound a toy. At that price I'm considering keeping them to use individually as bribes rewards for ds2 over the next few months!

temporaryusername · 20/12/2014 00:18

Whatson a smart suit is a very cute request. Obviously a monkey with standards. I don't know of one I'm afraid but these are reduced if the measurements look any good -

missmakesstuff House of Fraser have half price photo albums at the moment. I bought a really nice one from there today.

I think I'm finally finished! Just waiting for a couple of items to be delivered, but other than that I'm done.

Thanks so much everyone for the bargains, and especially to Reastie for starting the threads Flowers

MsAspreyDiamonds · 20/12/2014 05:56

Not a bargain but an article on how important it is to look after your mental health at this time of year.

missmakesstuff · 20/12/2014 09:53

Thanks for the photo frame suggestions, will try boots as I have a few points to use too on myself

I have a moral dilemma. I ordered one of the sassy bloom boxes from several threads back. Paid £9, it took forever to come and was pretty underwhelming for the full cost. I complained about the lateness and told them I wanted to cancel the subs, they did but still took 30 quid fron my account. Refunded a few days later...
yesterday, a sassy bloom box arrives. Few nice things, again, surprising it is meant to be over 40 squids worth of stuff...checked my account, they've not taken any more cash.
what do I do? Own up and send it back? Really don't want the hassle or the postage. What if they send another?

Mipe · 20/12/2014 09:58

I have just received a £20 book from Littlehampton Book Services but I didn't actually order it and don't appear to have paid for it - very strange!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 20/12/2014 09:59

miss make whsmiths had busy books in for £5 and had ninja turtles. they are books, with 12 little figures and a playmat. my dd's 6 and 2 love them. Grin

WUME · 20/12/2014 11:04
