Ok, need some help/ideas please.
Have bought pil a week at center parcs with us and kids for Christmas but don't have anything to give them on the day? Can't afford much more now and they have a lot so don't need anything but any ideas what we could get as 'token' gifts that could link to the holiday? Was thinking hamper type things but bargainous and no idea where to start!
Massive thanks in advance! Grin

MsBug · 11/12/2014 22:08

Good idea iheart

They have some American apparel ones on eBay which I think are supposed to be good quality

WildFlowersAttractBees · 11/12/2014 22:33

Crafty how about a book each, wine and sweets to take with them?

CraftyCrafterson · 11/12/2014 22:40

Please has anyone got a matalan discount code?! The item I've been after for ages had just comeback into stock!

roslet · 11/12/2014 22:45

Playmobil Fairies Take along Unicorn Land is now £14.99 at Amazon. Not worth the RRP of £35, but a really sweet set for the current price.

clr2014 · 11/12/2014 22:51

Soap and Glory day! Just got mine online.

SparklyReindeerShit · 12/12/2014 08:04

Ooh I'm hoping they've got some in my local boots! Off into town this morning.

RJnomore · 12/12/2014 08:13

SOAP AND GLORY WARNING

Website says only available online

Not sure if it's true but if you really want one I'd get in fast and not risk it.

cookiefiend · 12/12/2014 08:24

RJ- no idea how to link from my phone, but car phone warehouse have the Fitbit flex for 59.99 according to HDUK. Not sure if that is the one you were after.

OhCuntmasTree · 12/12/2014 08:41

Panic not! There are two versions of the soap and glory box (only the packaging is diff not content) they are DEFINITELT in store I unpacked enough of the fuckers yesterday

In store the box is pink, online its pink leopard print

DrankSangriaInThePark · 12/12/2014 08:50

It's the pinkness that puts me off.

Is it really good? Because it always looks cheap and nasty to me.

I am perfectly prepared to be persuaded to buy one though.

I got paid today Grin

PurpleHebe1 · 12/12/2014 08:56

Hi all, Has anyone bought a reasonable quality selfie stick to take photos using your phone, preferably with an integrated shutter button? Some of the bits for holding the phones look a bit flimsy, to say the least. Or are they hopeless and I shouldn't bother? Thanks

snappybadger · 12/12/2014 09:12

Does anyone have an ELC code I could have please? :)

Elvish · 12/12/2014 09:14

I'm here to share my disappointment with people who will care more than DH who just won't get it

My faux fur throw parcel arrived today, I'm thrilled as DD really wants a furry throw like the one on my bed which I won't give her, I open it up and inside is a fleece throw in the same colour.

It looks like a nice throw, but it's not furry Angry

I have emailed the seller and will report back, has anyone else got theirs yet? I will be Envy if everyone else gets fur!

CrimsonDay · 12/12/2014 09:28

The Book People have an extra 20% off all orders with code ELF20, ends midnight tonight.

CrimsonDay · 12/12/2014 09:31

15% off orders over £50 with code WPET15 at Waitrose Pet

Gatekeeper · 12/12/2014 09:36

argghh Elvish, I am waiting for my furry throw to arrive- better not be a fleece one

Lurleene · 12/12/2014 09:37

Oxfam currently have a half price sale on some of their 'unwrapped' charity gifts - e.g you can buy a chicken for a family for £5 instead of £10 but Oxfam will receive the full amount due to match-funding.

I have bought some as stocking fillers and teacher presents. According to Oxfam, they are not missing out by offering these items af half price.

From the website

'Is this going to mean Oxfam (and Oxfam's beneficiaries) get less money than if I paid full price?
Quite the opposite! Your money will help us meet our co-funding obligations, which will unlock the funding that other donors have promised!'

Half-price charity gifts

DilysMoon · 12/12/2014 09:42

Yes Elvish mine came yesterday and it's lovely and soft but definitely doesn't look like the one in the picture Confused

margaritasroastingbyanopenfire · 12/12/2014 10:08

I saw absolutely tonnes of Soap and Glory sets being offloaded into our Boots the other day. They must be in store.

AdamantEve · 12/12/2014 10:24

Bespoke offers have a "Buy a £10 Amazon voucher for £5" offer today.

I've just bought it and redeemed to my account so I can vouch for the fact it definitely works, however the payment page on Bespoke Offers was slow and threw me out a couple of times before it went through.
