Thanks for the quote spotty

As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

I'm getting a bit sporadic in what makes it to the OP (I can't put everything on or it would take up the whole thread!) so if you think I've missed something good please let me know.

Fab Iheart. I have printed the screen print and now my email has come through confirming the order and still shows them both as 2 for £15. I need to get DH to get down there quick and argue it with them. I might get him to try the self-service machines first and if they say £30, I will send him to the till. FX

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 15/10/2014 13:27

My Argos store wouldn't honour even though I had screenshots of the prices and reservation number. They said there had been a mistake online this morning so possibly some stores aren't aware yet. Good Luck everyone else!

onehellofaride · 15/10/2014 13:29

Apologies if this has already been mentioned but Asda have the Frozen set (Anna, Elsa, Sven and Olaf) half price at the moment and in stock!

Frozen set

TrisisFour · 15/10/2014 13:37

Oooh thanks YaMas. DH is going to head down after he's picked DD up from school. We're in a small town and unlikely to have a huge MN following, so fingers crossed the store wouldn't have picked up on it yet...

Prizepudding · 15/10/2014 13:45

Also had no joy at argos, they had apparently been briefed by head office and would no honour it.

Barbeasty · 15/10/2014 13:47

Is the Thorntons 20% code still working forpeople? It says not valid when I enter it.

TrisisFour · 15/10/2014 13:54

Ok, well I won't bother sending DH then. Not worth the fuel cost... LOL

Elvish · 15/10/2014 13:57

Clarinet9 · 15/10/2014 13:58

the book people 25 % off GIFT 25 doesn't seem to stack with anything else but I am not sure that my 'collections' were really collections!!

For the next 4 days new body shop customers get 8.4% cash back (5.25% for existing customers) through topcashback plus there is a code (14671) for 30% off non sale items

IHeartKingThistle · 15/10/2014 14:06

Blimey, Argos work fast - I was lucky then! Went to Sainsbury's after Argos and they had the Darth Vader torch for £25. I may have actually said 'Pah-ha-ha' out loud in the toy aisle Blush

Sainsbury's also have chocolate coins, chocolate SPROUTS! and lots of christmas chocolate bits on 3 for 2.

TrisisFour · 15/10/2014 14:09

Every cloud and all that... After the debacle (sp) of the Argos situation, I decided to go and have a search for the Baby Annabell doll (which is the last present I need to get for DD) and Tesco have it down to £39.99 with free delivery!

This is the one whose mouth moves when it sucks it's dummy and bottle. I think I linked to a Youtube Video of it last week.

This one has the new feature where if you rock it, it falls asleep. I've ordered one and got myself 39 clubcard points aswell - hurrah!!

YaMasYaDaWithAWigOn · 15/10/2014 14:16

Spotted this Frozen duvet cover in Home Bargains for £11.99

Could someone please explain as if to a small child how the cashback sights work please? I've just signed up to top cashback, if I click on something, the disney dvd deal for new customers for example, does it then just know I've gone via them and automatically add cashback to my account? Also, (realise I'm sounding a bit dim) how do I then use that cashback? Does it get paid into your bank account or can you only use it on other things you buy via the cashback site? Thanks!

Notso · 15/10/2014 14:32

I went into Bodyshop today. I buy there massive shower gels when I see them as DD the six of us go through a regular sized on a week Shock
They had snowman shower puff thingys reduced to £1.25. I got a shower gel and two of the snowman things for £10 odd with my love your body card, plus a voucher for £10 off a £20 spend.

Notso · 15/10/2014 14:39

AWimbaWay the cashback site directs you to the store and registers your visit, it usually has a message acknowledging this.
The cashback will be pending for ages, then if it's accepted it will be payable then finally paid. You can check your account.
You can have it paid by paypal, BACS transfer or choose store vouchers. Sometimes the vouchers give you more than having it in the bank. Sometimes they do clubcard points too.
I think with the DVD offer you have to have it paid into your bank though.
Remember to log on at least once every six months or your account is marked as dormant.
Also sometimes cashback is declined, often if you use a money off voucher or code not authorised by the cashback site.

AWimbaWay · 15/10/2014 14:48

Thank you Notso that's all much clearer, I've been meaning to start using one for ages but could never quite figure them out Blush.

Notso · 15/10/2014 14:54

No problem AWimbaWay the money does add up if you remember to use the sites. Try getting friends and relatives to join up through you as well then you get a referral fee too Smile

Elizadoesdolittle · 15/10/2014 14:55

I got an email from book people saying present20 gives you 20% off until midnight tonight. I haven't got time to try it now so don't know if it stacks with other codes.

TrisisFour · 15/10/2014 16:02

OMG Argos honoured it!!!! I'm so glad I sent DH though, he did have to fight for it. But wow - thanks to MN DD now has two more presents that she will love but doesn't really need!!

Yay! Well done that DH!!!

The scooter was in my basket for DS anyway, I was just seeing if I could get it cheaper anywhere else. Talk about timing! Thanks pigley!

Can anyone talk to me about Build-a-Bear please? DD has a birthday the week before Christmas and she'd love to go and 'do a bear'. So I guess it has to be a gift voucher. If you spend £25 you can get a £10 voucher for £5 at the moment, so it would be £35 for £30. Topcashback have 7% as well. Is that a good deal or do you think there might be a better offer before Christmas? Is that about the right amount for a toy and outfit etc? Thanks!

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 15/10/2014 16:23

I used the self order till in argos and had no problem with my order..2 of those stupidly priced light up pillows for £15 makes me extremely happy!...I'm utterly thrilled! I really wanted to also get the toddler Belle doll and remote control Cars toy but the website crashed...

TrisisFour · 15/10/2014 16:31

Well, DH went in and tried the machine and it came up £30. So he went to the desk and said (very innocently - ha ha), "I'm not sure if there's a problem with your system, but for some reason the two items that I've ordered here for £15 are coming up as £30 when I try and pick up the order." Apparently the woman went to speak to a Manager who came back and said that there must have been a glitch with the system and that it's actually £30. He then said "well I've got in black and white here that they are £15 and I don't see why I should pay twice as much as it says here". They then came back and said they'd honour it and that was it.

He had the Office of Fair Trading gumph with him just in case (that apparently says that if you reserve something you are essentially entering into a contract with them as if you'd purchased it and must be sold at the price shown). Whether that is true or DH is ad-libbing what he's read I'm not sure... Blush

Either way, he said make sure you have a print out of your order/email so you can refer to it!

Good luck all!!
