Catching up.

Today I bought a little cake decorating set from Lidl. £2.99 for a little cupcake corer thing to take the middles out for fillings and 2 of those concertina type bottles with nozzles that seem to be the right sort of size for little hands.

missingwordsround · 06/10/2014 12:11

Flowers for thread - I have saved a fortune - thanks to everyone for sharing and huge thanks to Reastie for the thread and links.

Hi

Thorntons chocolates have some good deals on their website at the moment.

I ordered a half price hamper last year and split it.

I will order another one this year just make sure you don't end up eating loads of the boxes yourself like I did Blush

There is also a 10% code WKPC which may or may not work but it is worth a go.

OodneedsanOod · 06/10/2014 12:24

Buddy was their own brand one and it's stats matched up to the others but didn't last

IsItSummerYet · 06/10/2014 12:40

Just to say thank you to whoever posted the Lucy the Dog at B&M link. I got it today and they still had a couple on the shelves - £22 is a bargain.

MooseyMoo · 06/10/2014 12:47

Thanks for the linkfor the Frozen Happy Tin. I ordered two and they were delivered this morning. The tin is lovely with colouring book, storybook, stickers, poster, x4 pens. It's sold out now though.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/10/2014 12:49

I want a Lucy the dog but we don't have a B&M Sad

Jojay · 06/10/2014 12:57

Has anyone seen any good deals on Lego type advent cake dears for boys? Or maybe playmobil? There's a good deal on a Barbie one on Amazon if anyone is looking for older girls, but I'm struggling for my 3 boys, 8,6 and 3, and dd, 3. The Barbie one is too old for her. My big boys loved their Lego ones this year but they're sooooo expensive x4!

Jojay · 06/10/2014 12:57

Cake dears??? CALENDERS!!

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 06/10/2014 13:02

never knew about those MLP, need to get to the big sainsburys on the other side of town and hope they have them in stock. DD is 8 and loves MLP and monster high. Made the mistake of taking her to Costco with me Saturday. They had monster high dolls for just under £12 with the VAT and the cheapest I have found them elsewhere is £16, dd conned me into the catty noir one. need to go back for the 2 she doesn't have.

thanks for the tip RJ

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 06/10/2014 13:03

Costco had the playmobil calenders, I didnt see how much they were though, but can check on Thursday when I go again.

nickdrakeslovechild · 06/10/2014 13:22

Has anyone received the anna coronation dress or the Elsa with train dress from sweet jiang on Ali Express please? I ordered the plain elsa one which was great and arrived in less than a week. Then went onto order these 2, now its 5 weeks later and still not here. Have started a dispute and they are just saying wait another week. Just wondered if anyone else has had the same issue and if they did arrive.

Notso · 06/10/2014 13:27

Not sure if it's already been posted but the ELC studio kitchen is half price at £37.50

TrisisFour · 06/10/2014 13:39

Notenough, I ordered one of the Thorntons Hampers last year for our house instead of all the individual tins etc that we buy at Xmas. Agree it was FAB!!! The only thing is (and I think I posted the links on a previous thread along with the same warning), they only guarantee BB Dates for 6 weeks. So I tend to wait until end of November/Beginning of December before I order one so that if you do want to split, there is a bit more time left on the dates.

They are a-ma-zing though. They also do lovely Childrens Xmas hampers which are very sweet ('scuse the pun) so I think I will be getting one for DD this year instead of selection boxes etc.

TrisisFour · 06/10/2014 13:43

Having said all that... Blush I've just logged onto Thorntons and they've actually got their Xmas gifts section now, so I would hope that the dates will at least go beyond Xmas day!!!

As you were...

Flynn84 · 06/10/2014 13:44

Not sure if people are interested but Argos are selling the Frozen Olaf's Quest game for the DS for £12.99 this is compatible with old DS and the 2/3DS

TrisisFour · 06/10/2014 13:58

Jojay, Boots have the Advent Calendars (a few for Playmobil - haven't checked out the lego ones) on their 3 for 2 deal Smile.

Thank you Rightsaidthread, I'm sure someone also posted to say that there is a 50% sale starting on Tesco toys from 8th October, is this just 'Early Bird' as it says, on a small selection with the main sale starting on 8th do you know?

TrisisFour · 06/10/2014 15:22

Aria, We went to see DD's old CM at the weekend and DD played with a doll her the CMs' DD (from about 10 years ago) and I think it was an older version of the Baby Annabell that you were talking about, the soft one whose mouth moves when it sucks on the bottle etc. DD LOVED it so now we've decided to put the pram/pushchair on hold and get it in the sales and get her the Baby Annabell instead. It's expensive though (cheapest I've seen is £47.99) but DD is NOT expecting to get it at all and will absolutely love it!!

So thank you for mentioning it in your posts, I didn't realize you could still get it! Smile

MsAspreyDiamonds · 06/10/2014 15:50

I can't remember who asked upthread for multiple pack of xmas kids mugs, Baker Ross has them:
