thanks for the Joules sizing info Reastie!

Mipe and Engels I visited one of the UK Hema stores a few weeks ago and it was fab! I loved browsing round looking at everything and it was all very reasonably priced, just like in Holland (but not as much variety). They even had foodstuffs, like Stroopwaffels (flat chewy caramel waffles for those that don't know)!

tootiredtocry · 06/10/2014 21:05

GirlWithTheYellowHat they have a Frozen Waggon at the Entertainer, about £7 IIRC

Mipe · 06/10/2014 21:11

OMG, am beyond excited about the Hema UK news!! Grin

Ilikesweetpeas · 06/10/2014 21:14

Reastie - Matalan codes in post 1 don't work and Roses chocolate offer is finished too

Thanks for your work on these threads, I'm about 1/2 done now Smile

MissRainbowBrite · 06/10/2014 21:19

Sorry, have just reread the email and it does say exclusive. Try signing up to emails to see if you can get one or once I've used it I will pm it for someone else to try. I have a basket of Christmas pj's to use it on Smile

Helicoptopus · 06/10/2014 21:25

Hi everyone. I had quite a few bits in my basket at amazon and they've all gone up massively... Do you think this means we're in Christmas pricing season now? Serves me right for dithering I know Sad

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 06/10/2014 21:28

Just marking place. Thanks to all.

admiralclingus · 06/10/2014 21:32

trisis glad you got your boots stuff! Haven't been at work today but was going to look tomorrow!

Thanks for the mlp tip off, managed to get a bargain princess celestia one but had to hunt for it! Also managed to spend another £20 in sainsbos so not sure how much of a bargain it actually was Wink

admiralclingus · 06/10/2014 21:37

If anyone buys presents for their pets, pets at home had some lovely things for dogs in and a few bits for feline friends! Got the pud a rattly red and green ball for £1 and a free scrunchie ball with a voucher they sent from the VIP card, but normally £1 forv one or £2 for 3. They also had webbox festive treats (turkey and sausage flavour apparently) for 75p instead of £1.20something and whiskers/own brand cat stockings for £3/4

PinkSquash · 06/10/2014 21:38

Oh I love Stroopwaffels, my sister used to bring them back to the UK when she came back from Amsterdam. I must hunt some down for my stocking. Even if it does mean a £100 train ticket to London. Grin

tootiredtocry · 06/10/2014 21:42

my local Lidl and sainsburys sell Stroopwaffels!

JerseySpud · 06/10/2014 21:47

Clear your basket

Try adding it again

Sometimes that actually gets a better price. But otherwise add it to a wish list and keep an eye on it that way x

Here is a quest for someone who's up for it!
I've discovered that Baileys (the drink) make a non alcoholic coffee creamer, if anyone knows where I can buy this, you will have made my Christmas. I have a Christmas Eve ritual that involved me and a giant Baileys Hot Chocolate and my favourite film sitting by the light of the tree, however with a surprise baby on the way, my Baileys is not going to happen unless I can hunt down the non alcoholic stuff.

Helicoptopus · 06/10/2014 22:01

Ah thanks Spud I kept everything crossed as I did that but it didn't have the desired effect. I'll keep watching.

supermariossister · 06/10/2014 22:16

titsalina www.baileyscreamers.com/Where-to-Buy.aspx. this any use? should be able to search where nearest to you

supermariossister · 06/10/2014 22:16

jeez just realised it's American. I'll keep looking!Smile

MaddHatter · 06/10/2014 22:22

Is anyone else worried that these really cheap plastic toys from China eg the Elsa dolls, might be made from inferior unsafe plastic? I know there was a thing in the news the other day warning about loom bands from Asia having a huge number of carcinogens in. Could it be the same with eg fake Lego figures or frozen figurines?

lulafortune80 · 06/10/2014 22:22

I am on the quest for a reasonable kiddizoom (I know, so last year)! If anyone sees one I would be eternally grateful.

Also - if anyone could tell me if they have bought an Anna Coronation dress - which seller did you buy from on Aliexpress?

Thanks
izzybizzybuzzybees · 06/10/2014 22:27

Missed the asda wigs. They look perfect as well. :(

NormHonal · 06/10/2014 22:30

Whilst we're rocking a Dutch vibe (am also a huge Hema fan and planning a trip to London!) does anyone know a good place to buy chocolate letters in the UK, please?

For the stroopwaffel-lovers, I'm pretty sure there is a passable Welsh version knocking around too, but have seen the real deal in supermarkets and farm shops here too.

AlwaysOneMissing · 06/10/2014 22:36

MaddHatter I have avoided buying any of the cheap Chinese products linked to for that very reason. I'm just not totally comfortable with them possibly (probably?) having had no safety testing, and being made from God knows what.
So as tempting as some of these finds have been (!) I've steered clear and will stick to uk if possible.

Of course I may be being over cautious but I'm a chicken Blush
