Those cardboard things look great. Definitely one for dh's stocking. Thanks.

platespinnermum · 29/09/2014 13:00

pumpkinsmummy this is Red subscription deal, 12 issues for £12 and can do as a gift - expires 2nd October.

wibblyjelly · 29/09/2014 13:00

Grey, do you download an app then, and if so, are they free? Very tempted for dh!

GREYCROW · 29/09/2014 13:05

Yes the app is free, I've just looked on my phone. I think your phone make has to be compatible... There's a list on the first link, the size makes a difference or something.

GREYCROW · 29/09/2014 13:06

I'll stop now!

ItIsntJustAPhase · 29/09/2014 13:09

Yes, check compatibility. It is relatively robust and easy to put together if you follow the instructions. Grin

It is like a tiny virtual reality headset. You end up being able to go round the Louvre in 3D (I think) and things like that. It is incredible. I cried because I found it so overwhelmingly realistic.

Not sure how much you an really DO with it yet but it is a wonderful gadgety gift. Be prepared for children to want a go.

Barbeasty · 29/09/2014 13:09

Disney store are also doing buy one get one free on DVDs. Worth seeing if the prices are being matched. Just popped to the store and got the Elsa shoes for DD, Tangled (she has it at MIL's and loves it so wanted a copy at home) and Peter Pan. Was told that Peter Pan and Cinderella are going back in the vault soon so if people are thinking of getting either it might be worth it before they shoot up to £££ on Amazon.

They were limiting Frozen merchandise to 2 per person (of anything, eg 2 elsa dresses, not 2 things in total).

TrisisFour · 29/09/2014 13:40

Tried to order 2 of those Google Cardboard things and for some reason it wouldn't accept payment.

A word of warning though, if you're using a card payment, I would use an account without much money in it because when I tried, the 'secure payment padlock' wasn't visible in the website bar so I don't know whether it's a secure payment site.

Strange though that it came up with a payment error for me. I don't want to use Paypal because it's DH's account and he will see what it is and it's for him. Ho hum. Sad

MrsCR · 29/09/2014 13:49

Ordered 4! Thanks Greycrow

IAlreadyToldYou · 29/09/2014 14:17

I bought one of those cardboard things . A question though, I changed it to gb£ but at the checkout it was back in $ again and it looks like it's charges my paypal account in $. Will I have to pay for it to be converted?

GREYCROW · 29/09/2014 14:17

Won't it just come up as Deal Extreme Trisis? I paid through Paypal.

GREYCROW · 29/09/2014 14:19

Paypal just converts it at their rate IAlready

supermariossister · 29/09/2014 14:30

my nan is looking for a small batmobile if anyone can help, they all seem to be 25 pound

HollyBen · 29/09/2014 14:33

Tesco have a couple of £3 dress up dresess. They are haloween themed but seems a bargain price. I have ordered this one www.clothingattesco.com/fancy-dress/f+f-halloween-cobweb-dress-up-costume/invt/ar420050 Will report back once I have picked it up

HollyBen · 29/09/2014 14:41

I also ordered a half price Tinkerbell dress from Tesco for £6. They only have 3-4 available which is what I needed Smile

GodPlayedByJamesMason · 29/09/2014 14:48

Also ordered cardboard goggles for DP, thanks!

MrsCR · 29/09/2014 14:52

supermario your last post has tickled me Grin nan driving round in a small batmobile....

TheFantasticMrsFox · 29/09/2014 14:52

Surely the phrase my nan is looking for a small batmobile is one that could only appear on MN :o

supermariossister · 29/09/2014 14:54

I am pretty sure it's for my nephew but you never know Grin. she has been known to be a bit wild

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/09/2014 14:55

Just back from BHS and they had Elsa dresses. £18 I think. The netting looked really scratchy and uncomfy to me though but kids may not care, esp if they are wearing a top underneath it. They had some lovely frozen pj's too but had sold out of DD1's size so I couldn't get any.

GREYCROW · 29/09/2014 14:55

There you go supermario Grin

BigJigs sale - up to 50% off

GREYCROW · 29/09/2014 15:11

I don't know how small you mean but I've picked up several Batman Hotwheels recently in Smyths toys and Tescos. (Hotwheels obsessed son). Two are variations on Batmobiles... you have to go and poke through them though.

PumpkinsMummy · 29/09/2014 15:18

GREYCROW thank you for that link , and to ItIsnt for recommending it. I have ordered for me DH for xmas. He is very hard to buy for and really begrudges spending any money but the zombies and rollercoasters will really appeal to him, and DS can use it, plus I can look round galleries etc. Excellent price, it might become my favourite buy!

Thanks for the tip TrisisFour that sounds just the ticket.
