What would you like for Christmas this year?

I love to hear what other people are coveting, but also looking for inspiration for my family/friends.

A coffee maker.
Ugg gloves.
Nice orla keily toiletries and kitchen stuff.

Jux · 23/08/2014 22:06

Stuff for my Kindle. More books; lots more books; many more books. Maybe some shoes. Did I mention books?

Badvoc123 · 23/08/2014 22:06

I would like a kindle paperwhite I think

Babiesbabieseverywhere · 23/08/2014 22:07

Naice cotton dressing gown
New tin opener Hmm
Books from my wish list (not other peoples opinions of what books I might like! They're nearly always wrong!)

Sootball · 23/08/2014 22:12

I'd like a dehydrator to make snacks and preserve my veg and fruit which I grow

I'd also like timber for three more raised beds (i get them made to measure from a timber yard), and pamments for in between my raised beds as it gets stupidly muddy.

A Rose bush and a kettle that does different temperatures.

MsVanRein · 23/08/2014 22:24

Sootball the Heston blumenthal kettle came up on the thread earlier it does different temperatures!

I want a climbing rose but keep putting it off as I don't know very much about gardening at all (trying to learn as I go!) but I never thought of getting one for Christmas maybe I should hint to my dad he could pick me one.

Chunky gold bracelet
Someone to renovate my kitchen, dining room & garden, (or about £20k to do it)
Nigella cream kitchen utensils
panini press
Dh to get a driving licence
Juggling balls
Jo Malone or preferably cheaper but as nicely scented

Generally a fatter wallet & slimmer waist!

rockybalboa · 23/08/2014 23:09

Garmin Forerunner gps watch for running. But I might cave and buy one before Christmas. Failing which I would like a proper pie dish. Note the obvious conflict there...

RumAppleGinger · 24/08/2014 09:21

This is the first year in about a decade I can tell DH I actually WANT something: a Roberts Revival DAB digital radio in duck egg blue.

Cherrypi · 24/08/2014 09:25

My garden made beautiful.
A new dressing gown. I'll be heavily pregnant by Christmas so will probably be grumpy.

MsVanRein · 24/08/2014 10:20

evelynj do you have a favourite Jo Malone scent?

rockyGrin currently battling a very similar conflict!!

Rum those radios are lovely. Reminds me I would like a proper old-fashioned telephone so I can banish the wireless one to the kitchen.

Cherry congratulations Smile

my list contains the same thing every year "half an hour of peace and quiet" without having to go walk the dog on my own

  • last year kids got old enough I got it!! Will try for the same this year.
Ultracrepidarian · 24/08/2014 10:54

Gap vouchers, oil paints and a pair of toms.

Cherrypi · 24/08/2014 11:32

Thanks MsVanRein

spottymoo · 24/08/2014 16:59

I also wanted a pair of leather converse for christmas but my finger slipped on the buy button and I can't possibly put them away when they arrive Wink

0pheliaBalls · 24/08/2014 17:54

DH usually buys me a lovely bag for Christmas but I've just had one for my birthday (the large saddlebag from Scaramanga, on the app so can't do links but it's absolutely beautiful). So I'd like books, cosy stuff (sheepskin slippers - DD usually buys them for me - gloves and suchlike), some nice chocolates and maybe some DVDs. But mainly books. My Amazon wishlist has about 428564 books on it.

DH is brilliant at present buying, as is DD. They always get me lovely things Smile

enormouse · 24/08/2014 18:24

A Garmin forerunner.
A new iPod/mp3 player
A new pair of doc martens (can't decor which, dp can choose)
Some nice snuggly pyjamas and socks
Chocolate
A cath kidston rucksack
A few books

enormouse · 24/08/2014 18:31
  • decor? Sodding autorcorrect, decide.
MsVanRein · 24/08/2014 19:31

spotty no certainly not - they must be worn straight away Wink Last October I went out shopping with my DM who wanted to buy me new boots - I couldn't pick so she bought me a pair to put away for Christmas and I bought myself a pair to wear straightaway!

Oh, I've thought of something else. not that I'm greedy Grin

I want a new bottle of Viktor and Rolf flowerbomb. My charming toddler got hold of the dregs of my last bottle and sprayed it all over the place.

MsVanRein · 24/08/2014 21:20

I am sitting with a glass of wine doing some online browsing for something for DH and DS.

0phelia that's lovely Smile my DH is good at gifts too he spoils me.

enormouse there's so much choice with DMs I couldn't pick either. Good call to have your DP chose then it's still a bit of a surprise!

OP posts:
Catmint · 24/08/2014 21:27

I want the measuring jug pan from Sweets Made Simple and a sleeping bag with legs. Smile

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/08/2014 22:31

Ooh I just had a look at the Accessorize website so I might make a note of some earrings I like (and for DD too, I buy her silver ones, I had allergies as a teen so I'm keeping her in silver)

MsVanRein · 24/08/2014 22:49

enormouse I love flowerbomb nice choice! I know the feeling though I have a toddler who poured my favourite cleanser down the sink last week!

Catmint a sleeping bag with legs! I didn't even know that was a thing Grin I want one now despite never hanging use for a sleeping bag!

70 I can only wear silver/gold too accesorize do some lovely wee earrings.
