What's wrong with my tree- inspire me

I know it not quite right. That year it was a bit 'threw together' as I had a new baby and didn't put enough decorations on the back so it was a bit wobbly.

I won't put the crackers on this year but I don't know what to do with it. I am expecting again and will have a new baby again so I will put the tree up early December but will have a lot of visitors during December and want it to look better (dh will do it for me though)

The tree is old bu I don't want the expense of a new one this year. I didn't open up all the branches as full as I could.

Ps .. Don't flame me, I am allowed to talk about this in this thread Grin and have good reason to get ready earlier.

We've got a fake tree from Next that I bought about 15 years ago. The base is a weighted wicker pot which I like.

Something like http://uk-gardens.co.uk/epages/950002407.mobile/?ObjectPath=/Shops/950002407/Products/UKG15605&Locale=en_GB this except it is darker green and you can see the trunk more below the leaves

That tree is perfect. Looks real ! Is that the going price for them?

I'm not sure. The one I have was from Next about 15 years ago, but the wicker pot at the bottom is similar.

I don't have a colour theme for the tree but all the baubles are glass ones (different colours, but I like traditional colours - red, green, silver, gold, rich jewel shades. No pink.teal or lime for me )

This year, I'm going to hang tiny mirrors in the branches to reflect the lights (stole that idea from Pinterest Smile )

You need more baubles - loads and loads more - and put them right into the tree near the trunk as well as on the outside so that the tree is "full" and the lights bounce around creating more warmth.

Open all the branches out as far as they can go, and get a load of different coloured baubles! Lights look fine to me :)
