Yes I know it's still Christmas 2013 for a few more days, but technically, the countdown started this morning.

So..Here we are again.

We will need:

Links to other threads about bargin hunting
Links to sales throughout the year
Links for decorations
Links for days out
Links for any good electrical sales
Links for budgeting
Links for really good gifts for men as they are generally the harest to buy for and grandparents/in laws.

There's no harm in starting a list now either for what you need to get next year, learning from this year and previous years.

The top of my list I must remember to write a card to SIL T&S, every single year they have sent a card and I've failed to send one in return for the 3rd year running now. Ditto Claire.

Must remember to buy crakers from M&S again, they were fantastic.

mama how did telling DS go?

Hope chestydog is feeling better soon Xmas Sad

We put the trees up on Wednesday, enormous real one in the dining room and an artificial one in the front room. They're very top heavy though as DD2 keeps pulling the baubles off. Getting the tree was lovely, there was a deer running along the country lane in front of us which the DCs loved. I've got about half of my wrapping done this week too.

Where is smiles?

What colours did you go for on the tree?

We don't really have a colour scheme, it's very much a family Christmas tree. The DCs each choose one nice tree decoration each year, so we have a random selection of pretty ones. They also made decorations last week from air drying clay using Christmas cookie cutters. They're messy and covered in glitter and look like they're were made by a 3yo and 6yo but they loved it, and I'll have plenty of years when they're grown up to have a perfectly decorated tree.

We're going to look at labradoodle puppies tomorrow in the hope of getting one in January.
