Yes I know it's still Christmas 2013 for a few more days, but technically, the countdown started this morning.

So..Here we are again.

We will need:

Links to other threads about bargin hunting
Links to sales throughout the year
Links for decorations
Links for days out
Links for any good electrical sales
Links for budgeting
Links for really good gifts for men as they are generally the harest to buy for and grandparents/in laws.

There's no harm in starting a list now either for what you need to get next year, learning from this year and previous years.

The top of my list I must remember to write a card to SIL T&S, every single year they have sent a card and I've failed to send one in return for the 3rd year running now. Ditto Claire.

Must remember to buy crakers from M&S again, they were fantastic.

I failed but I'm not that bothered about it. My instructor is more disapointed about it than I am.

2 serious and 11 minors. All fair. He was very nervous though, more than me and hadn't been there long. Bless. He was lovely though.

I've been buying Christmas stuff so I was in a good mood anyway. Got most of the lego stuff for DS and most of the baking stuff for DD. Just an Ipod and a few odds and sods to buy. The baking stuff is arriving tomorrow so I'll hide in the loft and start wrapping them I think, I've got a few things to take up there anyway so the kids won't notice.

When ordering the lego, I qualified for a free Santa's toy workshop! I can't wait to put that together. I'll get that out every year and build up a collection I think.

I need to start sorting things out and wrap them up and hide them properly. Currenlty everything is chucked in the pantry, including wedding stuff, as DS never goes in there, but I struggle accessing my vacuum and my ironboard. That's not a bad thing though, eh? Wink

Went to B&Q last night to get laminate flooring for the living room as they have a good sale on. We are finally tackling it and going to finish in the next 4 weeks by working weekends. It's a big task we've put off for a year with three large fish tanks (and fish!) in there that need moving, and a previous bathroom leak so the ceiling needs repairing. Fire place also is going to be replaced, gas man coming today to cap it off. But it will all be ready for Christmas for when the tree arrives on the 28th November. Finally! The rest of the house is done, it was the last room and it is disgusting at the moment.

And guess what - besides the flooring I bought loads of Christmas decoration to add on to my set in B&Q. It's all going to be Nordic style again. Grin

Good luck with the living room, it sounds like a huge job. Don't forget that you may have to adjust the height of the doors with the new floor, so get loads of sanding sheet or a planer just in case.
