siblingrevelry · 14/12/2013 13:52

Playmobil fortress castle half price at Argos (down to £69.99 from £139.99):

cuddlymoomoo · 14/12/2013 15:02

Emergency! Apparently, I need . . . Nerf, lots and lots of Nerf!

cuddlymoomoo · 14/12/2013 15:03

And some whirling remote controlled helicopter thing that 'everyone' knows about? Panic, panic, panic . . . .

MrsLoveChristmas · 14/12/2013 15:09

Wish JL would hurry up if they are going to restock the Hare and the Bear toys. It'll be Christmas soon!

Lalou · 14/12/2013 15:42

cuddlymoomoo I think there is some kind of Nerf deal on Amazon this afternoon? Am dashing out now so can't check but might be worth looking at their website?

wfrances · 14/12/2013 15:52

jl have taken the bear and hare soft toys off line now.
I think that's a bad sign.

LaTrucha · 14/12/2013 15:54

Barnacles octo buggy lowest price on amazon.

10 more sleeps to Christmas. Thanks to tummy bug I am horrendously disorganised, despite having started in July!

SpottyChristmasCakes · 14/12/2013 15:56

LaTrucha same here I was so organised but being in hospital and then the dc being ill has messed everything up!

MrsLoveChristmas · 14/12/2013 16:00

Wfrances you're right, most of the bear and hare stuff has now been removed. I had read they weren't bringing the toys back but thought when they appeared back online they had changed their minds. Hmm

LaTrucha · 14/12/2013 16:32

Well, you have more reason than me Spotty, but the thing I was supposed to be doing was menu plannig for all the guests and food is absolutely the last thing I want to think about!

Louisey13 · 14/12/2013 16:36

Is anyone still waiting on their monkey nail dryer? I ordered on 11th Nov and last date for delivery was the 10th Dec and I still haven't got it!!

NotSoNewNow · 14/12/2013 16:48

Ordered mine on the 23rd and it arrived on Thursday....

SpottyChristmasCakes · 14/12/2013 16:48

Oh I bet. Just steal the ideas from the threads running on here. Hope you feel better soon, it always takes me ages to get back into liking food after I've been ill

cuddlymoomoo · 14/12/2013 16:50

Thanks LaLou - will go check!

nickdrakeslovechild · 14/12/2013 16:56

I was finished until I needed the toysrus pony and puppy (they are a bloody bargain) and my mum has just informed me she wants me to get my mil something for about £10. She's very glamourous, stick thin and tee total! Any ideas please?

Frozenatchristmas · 14/12/2013 17:44

Where the the best place to buy DVDs? Need the croods and planes.

ValiumQueen · 14/12/2013 18:06

Thank you AndiMac. Just bought myself a lovely warm waterproof jacket. It is the first new coat I have bought for 10 years. £40 from £100 including the voucher code. I am rather (ahem) curvy and have been too bashful to ask if they stock my size, so this is just awesome!Grin

Reastie · 14/12/2013 18:10

Flavourly box arrived today. DH has already munched through alot of it Grin

For anyone looking for bear and hare, I was in ikea this morning and they have very similar looking bear and hare toys (similar to the advert rather than the john lewis toys). The bear however is wearing a waistcoat and I stupidly didn't check if it can come off or it's sewn on, but it was definitely not "part" of the body but another layer of fabric over the fur if that makes sense to anyone.

There were bins and bins full in Glasgow.

It was actually my DDs who noticed them, they called me over because they looked like the advert.

CatAmongThePigeons · 14/12/2013 18:37

Does anyone know of any amazinglt good deals on the Teksta blue puppy, DSis may buy it for DS1 if it's cheap enough

nickdrakeslovechild · 14/12/2013 18:45

Reastie she doesn't drink or eat so my standard wine and chocolate is out the window! We have already got her Molton brown. I think I am stuck because in my head I was finished.

DisneyAddict88 · 14/12/2013 18:58

thank u spotty I have pm u my address - not sure if ive done it right though. .. Grin

just wondered has anyone got the elc wonderland fairytale coach? if so whats it like? hardwearing? dd is a little heavy handed and don't want tears if it breaks!!

dd has asked for barbie one but she never plays with them but loves her disney figures and moshi monsters so figured she could use it for those!!

ItsIgginningToLookALotLikeXmas · 14/12/2013 19:14

Cheap tablet needed! I've been bargain hunting since August, whereas DH has only his dad to think of, and has finally decided today to get him a tablet for crosswords etc. We have less than a hundred though to spend, is this unrealistic?

cuddlymoomoo · 14/12/2013 19:15

Have spent ages wrapping today and opened up this book as it was cellophane covered when delivered and I was nosey:

www.amazon.co.uk/All-About-Me-John-Atkinson/dp/9881848512/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387048263&sr=8-1&keywords=all+about+me+by+me+father+christmas

It's 'All about me by me' (written by Father Christmas). It's absolutely beautiful. Has lots of little bits, like 'Jolly Christmas Postman' mixed with one of those pop-up Dinosaur encyclopedias if that makes any sense. There are letters and coins and maps, lots of information. I am very very pleased with it Grin - it will be perfect for the special gift Santa leaves before Xmas and I suspect it will be brought out for years to come as it really is the sort of book which could be a family tradition.
