I'm currently debating when to wrap up my presents. I usually leave it until just before christmas but I'm wondering if I should do it earlier yo avoid a rush.

So when do you wrap yours?

Mine got wrapped 1st December. I am done!

DurhamDurham · 06/12/2013 20:02

Going to have a wrapping up session on Sunday, mainly because I can't remember exactly what I have for my two girls so need to get it all out to assess. May as well wrap it up while it's out. I just couldn't leave it until Christmas Eve, I like to be all organised by then so that we have a lazy but lovely evening all together, watching tv and eating cheese and biscuits. And portWine

BabyMummy29 · 06/12/2013 20:02

I'm going to wrap mine tomorrow afternoon after I've put the tree up

fanjobiscuits · 06/12/2013 20:03

Late-ish in case of burglars...

amistillsexy · 06/12/2013 20:05

Christmas Eve, in a bloody rush, getting later and later every year because of the DCs staying up later every year. Xmas Angry

But this year...this year...it will be different. Oh, yes. I. am. determined. I finished shopping today, and will start wrapping this evening. Xmas Wink

picnicbasketcase · 06/12/2013 20:05

When they are delivered or are brought home from the shops. I don't know how anyone can stand doing them all at once, I have to do them a couple at a time. Plus that way, some have been wrapped in October and by the time it gets to Christmas I've forgotten what was in them and it's a surprise to me too.

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 06/12/2013 20:06

we are also a christmas eve house...

however this year will be different.

I will I will I willl Have it done before then.

MinesAPintOfTea · 06/12/2013 20:07

All at once a week or two before Christmas. Otherwise you have to get everything out more than once and that's effort.

yegodsandlittlefishes · 06/12/2013 20:07

I hate leaving it until Christmas Eve. Too knackering. Have to ddo it before then so I can relax.

I wrap the things as need posting about now (some done, some ready to be).
Then ones that need to be done by end of term..probably this weekend.
Then main presents for us as we get them.
Little stocking fillers Christmas Eve.

spacegirl81 · 06/12/2013 20:09

finished mine off tonight :)

LittleMissRed · 06/12/2013 20:09

I have been saying "This year it will be different for about ten years" yet every year have ended up wrapping on Christmas Eve, around midnight whilst piddled.

Never mind, this year it will be different.

LynetteScavo · 06/12/2013 20:11

I usually leave it until late on Christmas eve.

But apparently no more.

DH plans to put up the tree this weekend. Hmm

MegBusset · 06/12/2013 20:11

All in one go, a couple of weeks before Christmas, on a night that DH is out, with a large glass of wine :)

OddBoots · 06/12/2013 20:13

In about 4 batches throughout November and December, the last being about the 20th - I panic if I leave it too late.

2kidsintow · 06/12/2013 20:17

Family members - after school has finished on the last week. All then kept under the tree.

DH a day or two before Christmas.

DDs - Christmas eve, with DH. Usually the first time he's seen what they have been bought.

HoneyandRum · 06/12/2013 20:20

I have learnt through trail and error to "wrap as I go" that is try and get the thing wrapped as soon as you buy it. I also like to choose shops which do free wrapping as well!! So I leave with an already wrapped gift to stash. Just keep a list in your phone or whatever to remember what is what.

A few years ago I left almost all the wrapping until Christmas Eve - what a nightmare. Of course our three kids did not go to bed until stupido'clock and I was up until 3 or 4!! NEVER AGAIN! I plan on eating our traditional Christmas Eve meal and getting merrily tipsy on the sofa with DH.

HoneyandRum · 06/12/2013 20:21

See I made mistakes but can't be arsed to correct them!

TheHOHOHOnlyPink · 06/12/2013 20:53

Me and dh make a night of it, we get pissed, listen to christmas music and scoff chocolates. the tree has to be up tho, so will probably do most of it next weekend. I actually enjoy it Xmas Blush

SantaStuffedMyStocking · 06/12/2013 21:08

were already wrapped, and my dm has dropped off the 3dds presents that are already under the tree ridiculous amount looks like Santa's already been thankfully dd3 22 month's is not touching them as she said you have to wait for santa, I hope it lasts the next 19 days.

NoComet · 06/12/2013 21:10

1am on Christmas morning.

Not my strong point.

CMOTDibbler · 06/12/2013 21:15

Christmas eve. And as we see DHs family on boxing day, theirs get wrapped christmas day.

Perfectlypurple · 06/12/2013 21:15

Mine are all. Done apart from one that should arrive tomorrow.

mummywithLplates · 06/12/2013 21:17

Normally weekend prior to Xmas day as tried to doing it earlier but found that after storing the wrapped presents away again, they look tatty and tags had dropped off by the time the big day arrived, leaving me feeling deflated after the hours I'd put in painstakingly making them presentable! (pardon the pun, I'm rubbish at wrapping!Confused) any tips on wrapping early and the presents still looking good?
