Hi. I have been lurking here from when the Playmobil school in argos was posted. Having bought the last of DDs presents today and I have realised they have far too many things so I was thinking of trying to sell it. I hope no one minds me posting on here but if there is anyone on the thread that missed out on it I thought I would mention it. The box is unopened but was damaged when I picked it up but a lot of people seem to set it up before Christmas. I live in the SE

bleedingheart · 29/11/2013 17:23

In Primark today I saw some nice cotton/shopper style bags with single letters on in black, like the alphabet bags but £1.50, might be good for teenage girls stockings.
They also had little beaded bracelets with diamanté initials on for £1 and One direction wristbands in the girls
Section with different colours for each member and their autograph printed on.

MrsLoveBucket · 29/11/2013 17:50

Just got an email to say I've been selected for a box of OMG awesomeness! Lol - I'm a little too excited about this, feel like I've won a competition.

Anyone had one before? What wonders behold me? I'm keeping fingers crossed it has an iPad and Eric from True Blood in it!

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 29/11/2013 17:50

Ooh what's trattoria please? Sounds good for my hampers I am making!

The Entertainer had zhu zhu hamsters (ninja type) for £2 in store and today. I also got some magnet alphabet letters for £1 stocking filler :)

zipzap · 29/11/2013 17:58

Anybody else had any joy with the DK Books getting 60% off on top of other discounts? It gives me the 60% off but from the standard price not the christmas gift price...

And whilst I know 60% is a good bargain - I'd like the extra few % if it is there for the taking Grin

Crutchlow35 · 29/11/2013 18:04

Not really a Christmas bargain but on very a MacLaren grand tour lx travel system has just come up at £300 off. Down to £299 and less if you use their code. Only until 7 pm.

zipzap · 29/11/2013 18:04

MrsLovebucket I've had 2 boxes of awesomeness - both have had a book, a couple of packets of not-quite-match-attacks cards, a plastic football with some sweets in (the sort that is quite cheap and would be referred to as candy on the packet) and a voucher for a free kid with adult entry to a zoo that's quite a long way away... oh and some shredded tissue paper and a couple of leaflets to refer BoA to others.

More 'box of oh well it's free still it's better than nothing' than awesome... But yes I live in hope of there being an ipad mini or similar being in the next one Grin If you look on you tube there are videos of people opening them up and getting vouchers in them for things like that but I suspect those are few and far between!

zipzap · 29/11/2013 18:11

Very have got some black friday deals on today.

They are changing on the hour by the look of it, the ones that are on at the moment range from furniture to a half price Maclaran pram system £300 instead of £600 to a samsung galaxy g3 mini smartphone for half price... Haven't checked out how inflated the prices are to start with though! (ok just did - amazon are price matching it, it's a hundred pounds more on John Lewis)

MrsLoveBucket · 29/11/2013 18:13

Oh Zipzap that doesn't sound OMG at all but as you say it's free so better than nothing. I may well be the lucky one with the iPad in the box Grin

...probably not though

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 29/11/2013 18:17

All JELLYBELLY items get 50% off with code BLACKFRIDAY until midnight

stripeycow · 29/11/2013 18:30

Thanks for all the bargains. I am another one unwilling to pay full price this year on anything! Hope this is useful for someone: 25% off at Zatchels all weekend with ZAT25-XXGH-8876. And I got £5 off when I bought 2 corduroy pinafore dresses in store at JoJos. They mentioned that they are having another lucky dip in store at Nottingham only next weekend.

If anyone has a Fatface code they can (re)post I would be very grateful.

ihatethecold · 29/11/2013 18:31

Just got a lovely smash box kit for half price £9.50, thanks to the link above to the boots site.

lucysmam · 29/11/2013 18:53

Quick question....the Entertainer have some £7.50 roller skates I want to get for dd2, is there likely to be a way to reduce the price? (in fairness, I don't expect her to use them much so want to spend very much at all)

Kipsy · 29/11/2013 19:08

Thanks auntiebaba for the 30% off code at TheWorks.
Just ordered 6 x My Keepon Dancing Robot - £7 after discount - looks so cute! That's the birthday parties sorted for this year.

Reastie I found this onsie. With code NLVCCY35 you get 20% off. Brings it down to £8. Code finishes on 2nd December.

I know it's a bit over budget so I'll try again later.

Wiifitmama · 29/11/2013 19:41

Has anyone bought the teksta puppy robot thing? My kids are eyeing it up and want to spend their own Hannukah money on them. Where is the cheapest and are they actually any good? My boys are 5 and 9 if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

AuntieMaggie · 29/11/2013 19:50

I got a fattoria box today too - thanks whoever linked to it on a previous thread :)

No scarf though I guess as no money has been taken from my account.
