I'm having a dilemma about what wrapping paper to get.

I love this from john lewis but I'm usually a wilko wrapping paper girl so I'm finding it hard to take the plunge into paying £3 a roll.

In my defence my dining room (not my choice of deco) is a horrible pinkish/terracotta colour and hence, if I did not coordinate my table, 'twould look awful. And the coordinated wrapping paper gets put in the bin, not so the coordinated plates, napkins, candles and table runners. They get pulled out every time we have a proper dinner Wink

Just to say, having trawled all the shops in Milton Keynes last weekend and finding nothing I liked in the usual places (John Lewis, Debenhams, BHS, WH Smiths, M&S etc). I popped into Aldi today and they had some really nice paper. I picked up the Nordic themed red and white paper. Really nice design, good quality, thick paper with the grids on the back too.

I like a black background with a guady print. I also like it thin and tissue like for good tearing qualities.

I was thinking 'paper' and 'Sellotape'. It gets ripped off & recycled in our house. No need for me to worry over a theme just yet. But I do admire those that do!

I don't really have a wrapping theme, I do have a spreadsheet though Grin

im going to use newspaper and brown paper this year with red string.

might get ds to decorate the brown paper.

one year i thought i was being tres chic and used all black wrapping with silver ribbon. looked awful next to all the brightly coloured properly christmassy wrapped stuff.

I've gone for purple and gold this year, got lovely wrapping from asda. I also like the red and white Nordic theme.. Very Christmassy!! X

brown and gold with 'open on 25th dec' ribbon, a candy cane and a blackboard heart as a name tag. all ebay bargains! that is for other peoples gifts that look fetching under my tree until they collect them. The dcs get plain brown paper with a few stamps, no ribbon or anything as it is too fiddly..they go in hessian sacks after bedtime on xmas eve
