cheese thanks for the tassimo heads up. I bought them in sainsbos a while ago for 20% off, so hopefully your offer isn't too much cheaper or I'll be :(

Went to Waitrose cafe today and had a free coffee with my waitrose loyalty card. Just checking everyone knows about this? Got mine via this thread last year I think - it's a free points type card but you get a free tea or coffee when you go to their cafes.

Reastie have you signed up for the John Lewis card? You get sent vouchers for a free hot drink and cake of your choice each month from November to April.

Reastie · 25/11/2013 18:30

Ohh no toowet I haven't, is that like a loyalty storecard or a credit card?

Bugsylugs · 25/11/2013 18:31

reastie how do you get a waitrose loyalty card?
Thanks to all for the lovely bargains

TooWetToWoo · 25/11/2013 18:32

It's a loyalty card. here's the page for more info

AmIGoingMad · 25/11/2013 18:41

Just bought my first ever Black Fridays lightning deal!
Is it right that at checkout it still shows as original price but then takes a discount to get it down to deal price?

Reastie · 25/11/2013 18:52

Bugsy sorry, am on kindle so can't link but it's via waitrose page. Hopefully someone here will link if not I'll try to later.

Thanks toowet I'll take a look now

Has anyone received their John Lewis card yet? I ordered mine on 4th Nov and still not got it yet.

MollySJ · 25/11/2013 18:57

3bunnies mine took a good 3weeks from ordering. On the Waitrose card thing mine doesn't have a cafe but they have the coffee machine behind the bakery counter and you ask there for your freebie - just in case anyone else thinks similarly. You also get a free paper!

TooWetToWoo · 25/11/2013 18:58

I got mine 3bunnies, it came about 2 weeks ago. Ordered it on the 1st.

Chocotrekkie · 25/11/2013 18:58

I've got my john Lewis card through last week. Ordered it weeks ago - comes with a book of vouchers for free drink & cake for each month.

acsec · 25/11/2013 18:59

There's some good stuff on the Rush website, might get DM and DH some stuff with the 20% off

zipzap · 25/11/2013 19:01

The other good thing about thing about the waitrose card is that you get a free newspaper if you spend more than a fiver - telegraph, guardian or whispers mail during the week and their equivalents at the weekend.

There also seem to be other promotions, there are often products with 10% etc off at the time just for card holders that I might have used to stock up on my favourite biscuits the other week which are their own brand

acsec · 25/11/2013 19:05

However, I cannot find my shopping basket! Grrr!

GreatSoprendo · 25/11/2013 19:17

Thanks for the tip toowet - have signed up for a JL members card.

Tempted to sign up for a Waitrose one too, just because I can, even though I live in just about the only major city that does not have a Waitrose Grin

DD has now informed me that she HAS TO HAVE a pair of Stompeez slippers (specifically the perky puppy ones) - can anyone help?? They all seem to cost a fortune and now her cousin also wants a pair so I have to buy two sets... argghh!!

AnneOf I had the same thing for my DD & her cousin but everywhere had sold out of the perky puppy ones!

If you go onto the actual stompeez website & bougt 2pairs u got % off the 2nd pair. Wasn't much but a discount is still a discount! Grin.

AnneOfCleavage · 25/11/2013 19:31

Oooh thanks right and shash will try both of those Smile

shash1982 · 25/11/2013 19:33

Love the name by the way!

HarrietJonesPrimeMinister · 25/11/2013 19:36

Booths loyalty card gives free tea/coffee & a paper!

AnneOfCleavage · 25/11/2013 19:47

Just seen them in the studio24 catalogue but don't want to pay the £4.99 postage if I can help it.

Does anyone have a code for free postage for Studio24? The OP codes 032/020 do not work now Sad

Oreocrumbs · 25/11/2013 19:48

Do you think Tesco will take back the 3ds I bought 2 or 3 weeks ago?

I've just bought the one on the lightening deals, for £10 less with Mario kart built in, so about £40 cheaper as that is a game I would buy.

If they don't I suppose I can just return the amazon one.

zipzap · 25/11/2013 19:49

Just had my email through for the next box of awesome. The last couple (ie the only ones I have had) have been fairly uninspiring - a book, a packet of not-quite-match attacks cards, a voucher to a kid goes free at a zoo a long way away and a sweetie football thing. But free so I'm not complaining, plus the actual boxes might be useful for sending stuff out /making up a much morebox of awesome as a present...

Anyhow, I have no idea what the contents will be this time. Something similar I expect, but they say that some of the books will be the first of a story series written by Bear Grylls, which could be a good present for boys from 6 upwards.

For those that haven't discovered Boxes of awesome yet, you can sign up for them at www.boxofawesome.tv.

(But if I'm allowed to say - if you dm me your email and I refer you then apparently I can get a mega box)

The other thing that might be of interest to those with furby loving dc - once you have signed up you can get a free exclusive furby egg to download from the istore or from Google play...

Oh and for those of us that occasionally venture into McDonalds, their happy meal toys are furby based at the moment. There's a voucher on the box for a furby puzzle book from Smiths/Easons for a pound instead of £5. And if you don't want to buy a happy meal just for the toy, you can buy the toys separately for a pound. Might make useful furby based stocking fillers...

CrocodileScream · 25/11/2013 19:51

If it's still in the original packaging and you gave the receipt then I think you usually have 28 days to return Oreo.
