I've been looking in WHSmith for a Julia Donaldson x3 book bundle (think someone mentioned it on here). Still haven't found one but did fund a Dora the Explorer Busy Book. Was it chocky looking for it? £7.99.

Mellowandfruitful · 24/11/2013 16:19

AuntieBaba - Flowers for the Lego tip off. I got four boxes which will make up half a present each for young relatives. Incidentally four 'add on' items t.at add up to over £10 get free delivery. I thought you might need a 'normal' item in the basket to qualify but not so.

On the TV front, have just seen one in my local Asda for £249.

EverybodyKeepCool · 24/11/2013 16:22

Sainsburys still had 1/3 off xmas gifts this afternoon. (And they very kindly let me use my double up voucher on something that cost £9.99)

HarrietJonesPrimeMinister · 24/11/2013 16:33

10 bob the builder DVDs 9.99

michaelgoveisatwat · 24/11/2013 16:47

Curse you McDonalds and your Furby Happy Meals!!!!
My DS has never once mentioned Furbies, I didn't think he knew what they were. Turns out he does indeed know what they are and he may well just DIE if Santa does not bring him one for Christmas.
And so I begin the feverish watching out for one now. Don't even have my clubcard vouchers to double up as used those for Skylanders -which were toy de jour about a month ago, GRRRRR!!!! Angry

TwoStepsBeyond · 24/11/2013 16:47

HarrietJones DCs bought me a Jelly Belly bean mug last year from Tescos, don't know if it was particularly good value although won't have cost too much if ex was buying it HTH

notso · 24/11/2013 17:01

Katz · 24/11/2013 17:02

thanks - i'll put a camel camel thingy on. Thanks for the doggy links - i shall email my brother and see which one DN was after.

downdownupdown · 24/11/2013 17:02

I am another one who thought my Christmas present shopping was all done .. till dd1 piped up today that she wants a fireman Sam puzzle and tassles for her bike.

I suppose it could be worse although finding a Fireman Sam puzzle with enough pieces in it to keep a 6yo happy may be a challenge ...

Funkybutnot · 24/11/2013 17:47

I have to share..

While feeding the calfs earlier I thought there was some kind of alien walking towards the barn!! It turns out to be DS walking with two finger lights slipped on each side of his glasses. Grin I had such a fright!

Sorry no deals to share ATM Blush

fivefoottwowitheyesofblue · 24/11/2013 17:51

Tea I have been trying to pm you off and on all day but MN must be broken cos it just keeps sending me to the top of the page - I will keep trying though.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 24/11/2013 18:14

The lists are done. I need a 2DS (knew that was coming), a ninja outfit, Chasin' Cheeky game and some Star Wars Angry Birds Telepods. Luckily everything else on the lists has been stockpiled for a while.

dS1 also made noises about a Furby, but no dice if he wants a 2DS!

Reastie · 24/11/2013 18:23

chocolateteabag nope, I'm STILL awaiting gorillapod. Had one magazine though. Also never got my body shop set yet either.

oreo how did the shopping trip go?

hallow I think the question is has anyone got their scarves yet Confused . I haven't.

Just seen this message on the playpennies fb page someone on here recommended, thought it might be useful, I know someone was asking about selection boxes:

Morrison's deal of the week from tomorrow is Buy 1 get 2 Free on Cadbury's Medium Selection Boxes, they're £2.99 each, so makes 3 for £2.99

Just bought one of these 'proper' shaving sets for BIL. Nearly bought for full RRP from Not on the High Street. Different sets available too. Can't vouch for quality but stuff available on NOTHS is usually excellent. Good option for tricky to buy for males perhaps.

Going on my first ever trip to Home Bargains this week I'm excited!

angelabbie · 24/11/2013 18:41

I am a party entertainer and today I gave all the kids finger lights and we had a finger light disco, they loved it!!

2kidsintow · 24/11/2013 18:42

Michaelgoveisatwat Firstly - excellent username.

Secondly, my DD also showed no interest whatsoever in the whole furby thing, til having a happy meal at MDs the other day (curse you, DSis for coming down with a migraine while there with DNeice or I'd have never gone there).

Happily, thanks to these threads and the bargain I got as a result, I'd crumbled and bought one anyway. (In the 20% off weekend at Toysrus.)

SarahPercyAndBill · 24/11/2013 18:46

michaelgoveisatwat · 24/11/2013 19:22

2kids- I truly despise the man. It was the politest way I could think to phrase it and makes me smile everytime I see it on screen!!

I think am going to play hardball with the Furby. DS doesn't need it. Have got him lots already, including all the swappable skylanders AND an Uggly pet he doesn't know about so unless I see another one for £30, he's not having it. I spent ages looking at them on Tesco on Friday when they were cheap too trying to make up my mind....

missmakesstuff · 24/11/2013 19:50

Michaelgoveisatwat not shortening that username!

We made a Gove Guy for Bonfire night, won a comp, 100 quid for charity...was a treat seeing him go up in flames!

I a very annoyed at Photobox - I bought credits recently to get a canvas made up, around a tenner for a decent sized canvas, but their lightest version, so really not that bad to post - made the order today - £7.50 for postage. £7 bloody 50!!

I couldn't use any codes with it either, so pissed off, properly galled at paying for postage! I now have three calendars to make, wonder how much they are going to cost me to get posted...

I still do not have a scarf, dove set x 2 from hearst, or bodyshop stuff. I will be phoning them as soon as I get some time, to hassle - it really pisses me off that they have these offers and then just don't bother.

Oreocrumbs · 24/11/2013 19:57

Ah Reastie shopping was a bit of an anti climax. Too many people, DD was not being good read that as being truly awful and I have a headache Sad.

I still managed to get a few bits, but nothing worth mentioning, slipper socks, chocolates, little bits and bobs.

Think I might have a pop back through mid week. I didn't even go into tk maxx and that was were I mainly wanted to go.

Now I'm off to try and come up with a present for secret santa at work. I got the cleaners husband! He doesn't even work for me Confused. Not sure how that came about.

Oreocrumbs · 24/11/2013 20:00

I haven't had the bird scarf either, it is 27 days since I ordered it, but they haven't taken any money so if it isn't coming then it's not the end of the world I suppose.

Rhinopotamus · 24/11/2013 20:34

I really wanted the bird scarf for MIL's birthday next week, so I'm still hoping. No money taken though so not looking good.

hallowisitmeyourelookingfor · 24/11/2013 20:34

Oh im cross about the scarf now Angry
Can't even find my email confirmation. I wanted it for myself Grin

Mellowandfruitful · 24/11/2013 21:10

missmakesstuff I also want to get calendars done and have a Photobox account so annoying to hear the postage is so high. If anyone knows of good calendar offers on atm I'd appreciate it.
