Rather does ANGEL still work for book people free delivery?

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 21/11/2013 20:42

DD1 loves playing with her cousins garage when she visits so I think she'd like them. Might get her the cars for Christmas and the garage for her birthday in May. I've bought too much already but can't stop!!

Auntiebaba · 21/11/2013 20:43

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 21/11/2013 20:47

Just looked at the toot toot garage on camelcamelcamel and it wasn't its lowest earlier today, typical Hmm

StarvingBookworm · 21/11/2013 20:48

And don't forget COAL for 10% off at book people too - expires midnight.

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/11/2013 21:01

aliciagardner thank you so, so much. Going to look at m&s now. I have had a horrible time with Australian sights. One book shop said they were out of stock of a book I bought in November - on 20th bloody December. The book turned up in March!!!!

I'm sure my brother just thinks I forget or cba.

Back in a bit.

OhCobblers · 21/11/2013 21:10

I've managed to find a 20% off code for Crew Clothing but wondering if there is another one for more off out there? Thanks!

snowgirl1 · 21/11/2013 21:12

Janx you can also get finger lights at Tiger stores - not quite as bargainous though, £3 for 5 I think.

IHeartKingThistle · 21/11/2013 21:18

Can I put out a plea for an ELC code that is valid until the weekend? MIL is getting DS's Christmas present from there, it's not in the sale and I can't bear to let her pay full price after all the bargains I've had!

RatherBeOnHoliday · 21/11/2013 21:26

Thank you Starving you have saved me even more

goldie81 · 21/11/2013 21:27

Finger lights 5 for £3 in tiger

goldie81 · 21/11/2013 21:27

Sorry snow girl I missed your post!

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/11/2013 21:50

Oops. Thank you everyone. I've just seen all the other posts about Australia. Blush

I went with M&S as I saw it first and I was so relieved to go with a proper company I just wanted to get it done. I was so thrilled with the free delivery I never thought about the codes.

That will teach me the art of patience!

Oreocrumbs · 21/11/2013 21:54

IHeartKingThistle, I don't have a code, but if there is any way MIL will delay buying the present for a little bit, then I'm fairly sure that ELC will have another sale/promotion on very soon.

I really wouldn't pay full ticket price, they run one promo after another. And if they don't have another one in the next couple of weeks, worst case is that she would still pay full price.

nickdrakeslovechild · 21/11/2013 22:05

Sorry no bargains to offer (unless someone needs a black greecian style maternity dress brand new size 12!) Just wanted to share that I've just come back from Tesco and cannot believe how expensive everything is. Some of the bargains we have had on here have been so good I dont think I wnat to pay full price again. I was walking round the toys thinking, "ha we got that half that price" Quite a few things were 3 or 4 times the price I've paid thanks to you lot. Thanks

LucyTheValiant · 21/11/2013 22:21

What is this snitch thing that you're all talking about? I have an HP-mad person without a Christmas gift...

SurvivalOfTheUnfittest · 21/11/2013 22:24

Anniemousse, babanouche and justasmallGless, thank you all for your links. My problem now is deciding which lovely star decoration to go for! Maybe I should stock up for the coming years, as I have been with my general Christmas shopping, after these threads!!

Jessica78 · 21/11/2013 22:32

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but if you have an iPad, download the lovely Bear & Hare app (John Lewis) - free animated storybook :)

slp123 · 21/11/2013 22:36

yay!! 42p finger lights arrived today!!Smile Smile

Soldierskittle · 21/11/2013 22:39

may be mentioned already our tk maxx is FULL of Melissa and Doug stuff. I also saw some sylvanians and a fab dr seuss collection, I think 20 books and was £30. Big books not the poxy tiny ones I bought last year

2kidsintow · 21/11/2013 22:48

I ordered loads from the Works. Got a parcel yesterday with just 2 items in it - and no paperwork to say whether it was parcel 1 of whatever. Now hoping the rest is still on its way. I've got another 7 things coming, just little things like 'posh' puzzle books that will finish off the little bundle of things I've got for my mother, MIL, auntie etc.

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/11/2013 22:53

My finger lights are due by the 5th. I hope they arrive before Christmas. I've just bought a Rubik's cube each for dd and ds2 because whichever one I give it to they'll fight over it. Neither of them needed another present but that's beside the point!

LongStripedScarfWearer · 21/11/2013 22:56

nickdrakeslovechild I did the same in Tesco yesterday. Their toy prices seemed hugely inflated! Maybe they're assuming everyone is paying with Clubcard points?

Beware anyone buying toys in Tesco!
