Big thanks to marshmellow for pink lego brick box link, and not forgetting glittered for touch screen gloves...that's a v tricky fil present done!

If anyone comes across any bargain gardening gifts (again for said fil) I would be eternally grateful!

Who was after slippers for their dad with rubber soles and really comfy insoles? If you haven't got any yet it might be worth checking Aldi I bought a pair of ladies slippers in there today which have rubber soles and a memory foam insole for £4·79 - I didn't think to look for men's but might be worth a try.

dingit · 21/11/2013 18:59

Stupid question. How do you actually eat bacon jam? And is it sweet or savoury? The very thought makes my teeth itch.

notso · 21/11/2013 19:13

Scorned not sure about Amazon but DD buys loads of DVDs from CeX and has never had a duff one.

RatherBeOnHoliday · 21/11/2013 19:26

notso · 21/11/2013 19:51

The Toot Toot emergency and everyday vehicles are both £9.99 again.

ChristmasYoni · 21/11/2013 19:53

Small pink LEGO brick box is £6.93

Auntiebaba · 21/11/2013 20:00

Maybe not necessarily a Christmas present but I'm due in March and have been waiting for this to drop: Fisher Price Rainforest Gym £29.99

zipzap · 21/11/2013 20:03

janx look on ebay for finger lights - plenty of UK sellers selling them cheaply and with quick turn around that will get to you much faster than having to wait for them from China (albeit not quite as cheaply!)

these suppliers seem fairly typical - 50 for £7.95 including delivery and expect them to arrive on monday or tuesday next week...

Scholastic are offering 2 free Kids National Geographic magazines with every order.

Our orders are delivered to school so don't have to pay the delivery charge, but I did see 7% cashback on TCB.

Anyone still waiting on the glamour gift?
I bought the year subscription, paid in full and am still waiting eight weeks on.
Have emailed again asking when it will be delivered or that I want refunded. Angry

RatherBeOnHoliday · 21/11/2013 20:16

Love to be corrected with a lower priced bargain fingeroffudge but I now need a code for free delivery at the Book People! Any ideas anyone?

Auntiebaba · 21/11/2013 20:17

SpottyTeacakes · 21/11/2013 20:20

I'm still waiting for the body shop gift, dove gift and blueberry/pinkberry plants

cat811 · 21/11/2013 20:26

I rang about the Body Shop gift again yesterday - i was assured that I am on the list to receive it - he said they had huge demand and have been out of stock for ages, but apparently it will come back in (at some point, couldn't say when) and when it does, those on the list will be sent it asap.
Not sure whether to cancel subscription now, or if that will knock me off the list? Confused

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 21/11/2013 20:26

Can someone talk to me about toot toot cars. What age would you say they'd suit, can they be used on their own?

Still rubbish at buying for my own babies!

zipzap · 21/11/2013 20:27

scornedwoman they have the mary poppins dvd at sainsburys for £7 if that's better value than amazon?

They also had a double pack of Annie and Oliver the musicals for £3 but that doesn't seem to be in stock any more, although I spotted it at my local store so you might get lucky if you want other christmas tv stalwarts?

If you want cheap and cheerful mad for tv christmas films they have lots at poundland at the moment.

Can I also suggest if you want something a little more timeless, there is a great tom and jerry DVD - their take on the Nutcracker tale, all set to the classic music. It's film length rather than lots of episodes, but still easy to drop in and out of, but especially if you have younger dc its a nice thing to have on that's a change of pace from all the usual stuff that is on over christmas!

YeahBuddy · 21/11/2013 20:37

Girl my dts have the toot toot garage with a load of cars and they LOVE it! I got it for them last Christmas when they were 14mo and it is their favourite toy by far. I have added a couple of bits throughout the year and have got them the train station for Christmas. The pieces are nice and chunky and are good for toddler hands to get a grip on, I can see it lasting them another 18 months easy!
