barbeasty I've had great dressing gowns from Boots of all places. Ds1 had one about 5 years ago that ds2 is now wearing it and it looks as good as new still despite having been hammered for 5 years.

Worth checking them out - think there are the boots 'shopping evenings' on soon which could help with the price and they often have buy one get one half price offers.

I haven't looked at the dressing gowns this year but the last few years they have had plenty of 'naice' designs rather than the character stuff.

Ihatethecold...
I have just ordered 2 angry birds onesies from tesco for my 5 and 10 year olds...only £10!! And I have arranged store delivery so I didn't have to pay postage :)
They are 100% cotton and I have really struggled to find 100% cotton ones...most are polyester or fleece which are too warm ime.

Who was after a realistic fake tree? Was it Reastie? You've probably already found one, but I just spotted this one on the Ikea website for £30 (while planning my Ikea trip shopping list) - I thought it looked pretty realistic, but it's only 155cm (5' 1" in old money) and I think you wanted a taller one.

TheOneWithTheHair · 14/11/2013 10:21

Does anyone know any current codes fir the book people please?

HaplessHousewife · 14/11/2013 10:27

I've got mountains of Amazon boxes dotted around the house but still need a present for a 6 year old who loves animals –any ideas?

Squinkies Bubble Pack Assortment £3.64 delivered RRP £10 www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/handle-buy-box/ref=dp_start-bbf_1_glance

Squinkies Large Gumball Playset £11.99 RRP £30 www.amazon.co.uk/Squinkies-Large-Playset-Surprise-Playhouse/dp/B004K8TT6E/ref=pd_bxgy_k_h_b_cs_img_z

Now, would someone please explain what they're all about?! Will my 3 year old DD like them - she enjoys Happyland and I'm thinking these might be the next step on from there? Confused

MrsAFlowerpot · 14/11/2013 10:34

I think ive missed out on the Asda Talking Sophia The First - out of stock everywhere - but Argos doing it for £21. Hoorah

seafoodudon · 14/11/2013 10:35

Sorry, someone's most likely already flagged it up, but don't have time to read back through - Boots are for today offering £12 in points for every £75 you spend online. Not as great as their instore Christmas shopping events (normally £12 points for every £50) but you don't have to leave the house! On top of their present 3 for 2s, baby 3 for 2s and various equipment offers, some good savings to be had...

tryingforsolong · 14/11/2013 10:35

does anyone have a Matalan code? please?

They have a Christmas jumper shop and a Onesie shop. I need both, but after becoming addicted to these threads, I can't bear to pay full price for anything now Grin

Pogosticks · 14/11/2013 10:43

littlecupcake They are great deals but tbh I'd stay away from Squinkies until your DD is school age - they are crappy bits of nonsense with little play value. DD is 7 and loves them for the collecting side of it but they are sooo teeny and made of that sticky squidgy stuff.

Wait until she knows what they are are really really wants them as the excitement of getting new squinkies is much greater than the excitement of doing anything with them!

zipzap · 14/11/2013 10:45

hapless how about a deadly 60 book or DVD?

Ds1 loved them from about 5 and at 8 still loves them.

Book people have plenty of deadly 60 books, lots of offers for the book people flagged up on these threads.

Not sure how good the deadly 60 toys are - some seem a bit gimmicky or expensive for what they are. Having said that, ds1 has been begging for the deadly 60 not-Lego-but-like-Lego stuff, which I've resisted so far as it had bad reviews along the lines of expensive for what it was. And then I saw a big box of it in tesco reduced to about a fiver instead of £25 so I did think it was worth it at that price, if only to see the look on his face when he opens it!

ihatethecold · 14/11/2013 10:46

Thanks badvoc

DrankSangriaInThePark · 14/11/2013 10:52

littlemiss Our Furby is a Boom and was in the special offers on Amazon at IIRC £38. It's fab. Dd (10- but can be quite babyish still wrt fluffy things) says it's her best ever present.

BumpKitty · 14/11/2013 10:52

Imaginext submarine is down to £12.49 on amazon here

MooseyMoo · 14/11/2013 10:55

Just been shopping and found Schleich farm animals third off in Sainsburys (pocket money section). Got a hen, rooster, baby chicks and a donkey. Also had cat, kittens, pig, goat, kid, lamb £1.99 each.

They also had a rail of half price clothes

littlecupcake · 14/11/2013 11:01

Thanks Pogosticks They sound delightful - but perhaps I'll put them off for as long as I can then!

mootime · 14/11/2013 11:05

Hi all, anyone seen any Schleich animals on offer online anywhere. Toys r us have them but only in store and with the impending arrival I'm going to struggle to get to a store!

Willemdefoeismine · 14/11/2013 11:07
