I'd also like to say a massive thank you to reastie and everyone else who has contributed. With baby number 2 due in 5 weeks I was seriously worried about sorting Christmas out this year but I am nearly finished! Can't get the hoover out of the cupboard for all the parcels though!

I've cancelled the Direct Debit with the bank so they won't be able to just take the money but the T&C's said to give written notice. I emailed just so they can't come back and say "You didn't give us the notice required in the T&Cs".

That way if any money does come out I can at least go to my bank and say "Here's the T&C's, here's my cancellation notice, here's a reply from them so they definitely received it, I want my money back right now under the direct debit guarantee"

The Lego Star Wars rancor pit is down to £39.99 today. Not the lowest price according to camel, but a good price if you need it for Christmas and don't want to risk waiting for another drop.

Just an FYI on the harry potter thing ...can't remember who was doing

I'm doing a harry potter themed birthday for my sister in December ...taking her to the harry potter studio tour but bought her lots of little pressies as the tickets were so expensive.

I just put harry potter into EBay and ordered them from lowest price upwards.....

Biggest expense was a new set of books all in a gift box looking thing meant to be used, but arrived looking brand new ... They were £20

The Thorntons winter hamper has arrived. Comes in a lovely box which is a shame as I was planning in splitting the contents.

But the little Alpini bar is calling me!

Amazon have some good bargains on schleich toys. Just ordered two of the big dragon riders for £13 each

Magazine updates if anyone's interested- had cosmo rihanna perfume really fast, glamour body shop set was out of stock so instead of the honey one they're posting a coconut one which is in stock, company tanning set doesn't get posted until the payment is taken so a month before payment taken then another month before gift is due

Anyone know how quickly zest gift arrives?

FYI Amazon will refund the difference if you order something and the price drops. You have to email and ask them, but they're very quick and helpful.

I was idly wondering whether we should have a sales thread and then just a general February to July bargains thread -- not wanting to load more work on Reastie, and I imagine it wouldn't get as much traffic, but I now want to save on birthday presents year-round too...

No scarf here yet. 71p earrings have turned up. Got three sets but thought I only ordered 2. Earrings are nice but the boxes are quite flimsy and cheap looking so might find a nicer box for them.

I've emailed Amazon. I found the specs for all the kindles on Wikipedia, but all the ones that size have wifi and I've been told this one doesn't. So I'll see what they say, or whether a case that goes with multiple models should be ok.

Then I just have to order DH's presents, and wait for the lists of my dad's gf and my 2 SILs on my side. So nearly done!

And apart from DH, DD and DS I won't have spent more than £25, mostly under £10.

Poundworld have small annuals, called Holiday Annuals in. They're the perfect size for a stocking yes I bought a small stocking on purpose, sorry dd Octonouts, Disney Princess, Mike the Knight, and a couple more that I can't remember. I bought a Disney one, Monsters inc, Cars etc in it.
