KateS It's amazing in here isn't it! Grin

Erm, re: general year round bargain thread, can I get back to you on that in January! Doesn't mean there can't be one without me of course though.

Got a £10 boden code through the post today in DHs name, hurrah. Bought DD 2 pairs of tights for £1.90. They send a £10 voucher to DH who has ordered once a couple of weeks ago from them but not to me who has bought tons of stuff over a few years Angry . Glad I opened an account in DHs name now!

Went to Jojos today as got a ticket through the post for free magnets/balloon/thorntons chocs. Didn't realise it was with every purchase so had to buy DD some new tights to get them Hmm but she does need tights so don't feel too bad. Also went to a local lidl on opening day but no free stuff or offers :( Flavourly box has just arrived...I'm off to investigate.

barbeasty dh has an old kindle too and gets annoyed with it sometimes because it isn't back lit.

I'm planning on getting him a clip on light so that he can read it in bed without turning on the light if he wakes up in the middle of the night (as has happened previously - not a completely altruistic present Grin).

I saw a really good one that looked like it would be safe to clip onto the kindle without being too tight or scratchy (some look like they are book lights in a different box and the price bumped up!) but forgot to note down its name. I'm now working my way through lots of them on amazon, play.com and 7dayshop.com to see if I can find it, otherwise I'll just settle for something that is reasonably priced and has decent reviews. But there are loads out there - might make a useful addition if you're getting your dad a case, then he can use the light just when he needs it!

With Naked wines, I spent 55 and then the delivery on top, so paid a tenner for 6 bottles of wine - I don't like white, so I chose my own selection of reds, that is what made the price go over 50. Only had one so far, but it was very nice Smile
Magazine wise, I once did the £1 for three issues thing, got one magazine, forgot what the debit was for and cancelled it with the bank (thought was a scam, didn't remember about the magazine). Anyway they stopped sending the mags, but I was never contacted again or asked to stay in a rolling contract. I think if you ignore they will leave you alone.
Finally, here's an ELC code - I can't keep up with who has asked for one so just posting it... First user gets it obviously.

Reastie -- yy, when I said "not wanting to load more work on Reastie" I did mean "so the rest of us could run it while she has a holiday until the seasonal thread starts up again" rather than "but she's just going to have to suck it up".

First year we are hosting xmas at our house this year!

But also means we need our first ever xmas tree.

Id like something tall, at least 6 feet, but needs to be bargainous!! Any one seen anything?

Thanks
JaquelineHyde · 07/11/2013 13:04

Tesco do a 6ft tree for £15 that got rave reviews last year but sold out very quickly...hang on, will see if they are still doing it.

JaquelineHyde · 07/11/2013 13:05

Christmas tree

Wingdingdong · 07/11/2013 13:05

Not time to read through read as DS not napping but:

Those fruit notes from eBay are in Staples! Saw them this morning, £1.50 (red apple, orange and one other fruit) in a plastic box (so won't get squashed in stocking) AND in the 3 for 2 offer. So basically same price as eBay but without the wait, if you're near a Staples.

Actually Staples had a load of stuff in their 3 for 2, including lots of chocolate stuff, Lego stationery and Baylis & Harding sets. Not quite what I expected to find as I went shopping for Really Useful boxes!

aintnothinbutagstring · 07/11/2013 13:09

Thought I'd add this for anyone interested, via Amazon,

Casdon 532 Toy Post Office

which is down from £9.00 to a mega bargainous £6.66, doesn't look particularly robust but for that price I don't think you'd care as it'd probably provide a fair few hours of play. It has many good reviews too. Good gift for nieces/nephews?

There's also the popular Casdon sweet shop linked from there, for £7.50, not sure how long the sweets would last though!

Reastie · 07/11/2013 13:10

Has anyone ordered from 'hellofresh' yet? Got a voucher for them in flavourly box and wondered if anyone had any thoughts on them?

Speaking of christmas trees, I'm still to find my 'can't tell it's fake but it is' tree. I walked past my local phase eight shop this morning and they had christmas trees in their display that even close up I walked right over to have a good look looked real, but I assume they weren't or they'd never last till christmas. I was tempted to go in and ask where they bought them from Blush .

YoureAllABunchOfBastards, I hope you're still about because I noticed your post on the last thread, but your dh is absolutely right, £7 is a bargain for Talking Tom! I'd be ever so grateful if you could post where he bought it from please, it's on dd's list.

mootime · 07/11/2013 13:11

Just bagged myself a super bargain! Jojo lucky dip discount gave me 20% off so I bought DD's micro scooter. Then I had a £15 loyalty card so managed to get scooter for £30. Obviously had to buy more stuff because of 20% discount though so still spent a fortune!

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/11/2013 13:11

I got brooches from amazon. Also the ring watches arrived this morning. Just waiting on the owl necklace now.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good deal on an iPod docking station please.

SpottyTeacakes · 07/11/2013 13:18

Moo I'm going to jojo at the weekend. Hoping for a decent discount as ds really needs a snow suit. Not Christmassy at all but ds is almost one. Do I get him the polar fleece snow suit or the waterproof fleece lined one? He's not yet walking but he often goes in the r&r carrier....

BuddyKringleberry · 07/11/2013 13:21

I got the Fisher Price happy sounds house for £21.99 today from Amazon down from £39.99.

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CDGA68U/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001W09LO8&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=1T4YT2239YAWQWCTXYCB

I just need to order skylanders from tesco and find a bargainious Micro Scooter and my 4 are done. Gutted I missed the £40 scooter on Amazon the other day. They've said they will honour the price if they get it back in stock. Does anyone know if Amazon have stocked and dispatched the microscooters before? Camel doesn't show any history for them?x

HavingAnOffDAy · 07/11/2013 13:36

Just posting a link to thread 19 s I think it was missed off the list in the 'mega post'

Hope you don't mind Reastie & hopefully I haven't committed a terrible faux pas by linking to it (was it missed off on purpose)
