Another year of spreadsheets and carols.
You wonderful lot you, gorn and done it again.

It's always lovely for the donator to know their parcel has arrived, so if you've had a Christmas Appeal gift this year and you'd like to use your unique MNcode to pop on this thread to say thank you, now's your chance.

We'd like to start you all off by being the first to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who's taken part. You're all brilliant!

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Merry Christmas!

It's a bit late in the evening to fathom out a name change, so I'm just popping in to thank SantaA9256 for the fabulous stockings that arrived for Ds1, Ds2 and I today. I have hidden them so that they can not peep (and from my own little look, I suspect the kits you worried about will be fine). Thank you for taking the time to put the stockings together for us. It will be lovely to open some surprises on Christmas Day. The boys are amazed that someone we don't know has done this for us. Thank you. Xmas Smile

I am so glad it arrived. I am sorry it wasn't wrapped and was just stuffed in an envelope - I was a bit panicked about missing the last post, and then they manage to deliver it the following day!

I have to say I love buying presents, but found this really tough as I didn't know who you were or what you liked. I am so glad it is Ok :-)

I wish you a peaceful Christmas x

Xmas2013SantaC8353 - wow! We ventured out in the wind and rain yesterday to get another parcel (it did arrive Saturday, but we were visiting MIL and so missed it) and how thrilled was I to get THREE balls of lovely, gorgeous Woolly Hugs yarn?? FABULOUS! Thank you so, so much - utterly lovely and I will do my best to make you proud by using them to make some blanket squares.

And the present for the DCs is under the tree! They are very intrigued but I am making them wait (although, not long now...).

Thank you to EVERYONE who has donated - it's going to make Christmas extra special this year. Thanks Cake

Woohoo! Thank you to the kind person from South Carolina USA who sent me some delicious sweeties which I might or might not share with my equally-sweet-toothed family!

It was lovely to get a present and to be thought about - thank you again!

Just to say that it looks like the Dutch post (or english) has messed up again, no parcel has arrived.

Thank you very much to the nominator and sender though. I had no idea that nomination existed and I was truly touched and very surprised. It was lovely :)

best wishes

WOW!

I got home to perfume and pencils, and then the neighbour came round with some lego-ey boxes and colouring books.

DS and I are so cheered by this and it's really made our year!

Thanks so very much, from the bottom of our hearts, for the nomination and the gifts!

Truly Touched! Xmas Grin

I am a bit sad, I have confirmation that my parcel was delivered to someone on the 16th but haven't seen anything to confirm they have received it Sad Hope it was delivered to the right address.

Xmas2013MN2373 · 24/12/2013 12:26

Hello to my lovely and amazingly generous donor. I was away for weekend, so found your parcel, kindly taken into my house by neighbour, when I returned. What an incredible gift! So many wonderful pampering things for me! And the gifts for the dc were fantastic, not to mention the money you sent for them to choose something extra - truly, stupendously generous. Thank you so very much for your kindness. I wish you and yours the most beautiful Christmas, with lots of love, fun and Wine. Thank you! xxxxxxx

Twunk · 24/12/2013 12:31

Well as I know who she is, and she knows who I am and I can't be arsed to name change...

Milliways I have just got back from the hospital - DH has taken over so I can see my parents and wrap all the gifts. Sadly Alex was admitted yesterday and will be spending Christmas in hospital (nothing life-threatening but very painful and upsetting).

When I opened your amazingly generous gift I genuinely cried, but it has given such an amazing boost to my day Grin.

Any gift would have been wonderful, but really your generosity is just...well I'm completely grateful and overwhelmed. Thank you, from all of us.

Twunk xxxxx

Xmas2013MN2373 · 24/12/2013 12:31

Also, heartfelt thanks to whoever nominated me - I am overwhelmed by the kind thoughts of you and by the incredible generosity of my lovely 2373 donor. Wine Brew [choc] to you (we do need a choc symbol quite urgently) Xmas Grin

Xmas2013MN2373 · 24/12/2013 12:33

Happy Christmas to all at MN Towers and thank you for organising such a nice thing at Christmas Xmas Smile.

Xmas2013MN2373 · 24/12/2013 12:35

Twunk I hope Alex feels better soon. Sorry to intrude but your post was sandwiched between mine and I wanted to pass on my good wishes to you for what is obviously a difficult time.

Twunk · 24/12/2013 12:39

Oh yes and thank you so much to whoever nominated me! It's sad the reason why, but it certainly spread some Christmas cheer chez Twunk xx

Xmas2013MN5020 · 24/12/2013 13:45

A massive heartfelt thankyou to SantaB5020 and also to another Santa who's gift I received this morning but who's nickname I don't know. I didn't know you could have 2 Santas so it was very unexpected.
Me and the dc are delighted with our gifts and all completely overwhelmed by the generosity of strangers though somehow because of the support I've received lately you don't feel like strangers at all.

Xmas2013MN5020

Hello! :)

I was your other Santa - you must have had an A and a B.

I can only assume you got nominate twice as you must be very lovely :)

I am so glad the parcel arrived and you and your DCs liked the gifts.

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas x

A5020 The doll you included for my 12 wk old will be going with her to hospital when she has open heart surgery later this year and maybe I'll get a chance to have a relaxing bath this evening with my body shop goodies. The girls have already used theirs.
B5020 Hopefully all the craft type things in the dd's parcel will keep them occupied over the holidays when they get sick of their tablets or break them. Green and Blacks are always a winner with me too, also the crocheted bunting was lovely and smelled amazing What was the scent?

Oh I really hope the surgery goes well and the doll cheers her up a bit whilst she is there Thanks

Milliways · 24/12/2013 16:21

Aw Twunk, sorry to hear about Alex. Hopefully you can get spoiled a bit with your parents and that Alex will be home again soon.

Merry Christmas everybody x

Twunk · 24/12/2013 17:16

I have received a second parcel but it's got a different code to the one I was given but I wanted my giver to know I've got it (until Sandymumsnet can check the glitch) so MN0073 I have got your gift which I will open tomorrow as I don't get many gifts!

Thank you so much it means a lot that you took the trouble to send something and it is beautifully wrapped! Lovely

Happy Christmas

Twunk xxx

Xmas2013SantaA2373 · 24/12/2013 19:24

Xmas2013MN2373 - so glad you love your parcel. Hope you and yours have a very merry Christmas x Xmas Smile

Spero · 24/12/2013 21:30

Sorry I am crap at this, I didn't realise I should keep the envelope and make a note of my Santa. So who ever sent the lovely horse garland for my daughter, she is very pleased and I am very touched. Sorry to be so rubbish. I haven't opened my present yet it is under the tree as I only have two presents! So I don't care what it is, just the chance to unwrap something on Christmas Day is lovely.

Nilgiri · 24/12/2013 22:13

Spero, you can PM MNHQ for your number again.

lougle · 24/12/2013 22:17

Spero if you go to the namechange history on your MN account, you'll find your number in there. It will be Xmas2013MNXXXX. Your donator will be Xmas2013SantaXXXX (possibly with an A, B or C at the end of the Santa).

It will all be there Smile
