I find H&M are slow to dispatch. Weirdly they said they had dispatched my order on the 19th yet when I logged in a few days later they had changed the dispatch date to the 21st Hmm It came pretty quickly after that though.

JaquelineHyde · 29/07/2013 11:45

Play Doh 4 tub pack BOGOF at Tesco (in store) so 8 tubs for £3. Currently sold out online.

TerraNotSoFirma · 29/07/2013 14:28

Just received my order from the works, slow but well packaged.

I got this
www.theworks.co.uk/p/young-children-s-classics/peter-pan-and-wendy-padded/9780907789147

Beautiful book and looks far more expensive than £4

I try to keep presents for children's friends around the £7 mark, so the book, a pair of £2 pyjamas I got from character.com and a bag of milky bar buttons will make a great gift for my friends little boy for well within my budget.

I love this thread. :)

FriskyHenderson · 29/07/2013 14:44

SayHelloToMyLittleFriend · 29/07/2013 17:17

Thanks Moosey, I'm going to put The Little Mermaid on my wish list too. Both my dd's birthdays are September so I'll probably not keep it til christmas though (I'd quite like to watch it again myself too).

Oreocrumbs · 29/07/2013 18:08

Asda cancelled my order of Penguin playmobil Sad. Now I have to drive across town to pick up a 50p block of plasticine. Grr

Oreocrumbs · 29/07/2013 18:15

Frantastico I'm getting this Zippo hand warmer for my FIL who is an outdoorsy/gadget type man. Got DP the Tassimo and that is as inspired as I can be about the men in my life Grin.

I shall await exact and no doubt expensive instructions from the others nearer the time!

MooseyMoo · 29/07/2013 18:35

I've so far got Atul's Curries of the World for DH. I got him a 3 month subscription to The Spicery. We both have enjoyed cooking up the meals that we've extended for a year

PoppyWearer · 29/07/2013 19:54

That Spicery subscription is brilliant, but I can't think if anyone who would want it! Does anyone know of a similar concept for amateur bakers?

Oreocrumbs · 29/07/2013 20:25

Try again

sameoldIggi · 29/07/2013 21:36

Uniqlo has some nice Celia Birtwell scarves, for two for 12.90 - but there's 3.95 delivery on top. Think still a decent price, one for me and one for a mate Grin

LifeIsSoDifferent · 29/07/2013 21:58

Does anyone have any ideas for a 13m old little girl? Just something small for stocking fillers?

iloveholidays · 29/07/2013 22:14

Life, my DD3 will be 13 months at Christmas. I've already got stocking fillers for DD1 and 2, but hardly anything for DD3 so will be watching with interest. I should know as she's my third girl but the others were 9 months for their first Christmas so bit younger. Think I got them bath toys, character plates, beaker, cutlery set, books, little toys like rattles.

Some happyland characters would be good. Some first drawing stuff, think elc do soe bits, bath toys, socks???

iloveholidays · 29/07/2013 22:23

Life, also small musical instruments. Think Tesco and Asda do some cheaply.

PoppyWearer · 29/07/2013 22:49

I filled stockings with bath toys and musical instruments when DCs were babies, as suggested.

Oreocrumbs · 29/07/2013 23:03
