Pinterest board sounds good. I joined last year but didn't really get into it, I should try harder this year!
DH showed me an amazing find from eBay. Futurama figures. They'll go in the stocking (one for each of us). He could make at least 3x what he paid but we agreed they were totally worth keeping. I actually hopped up and down with excitement!
Anyone do pottery painting for presents? I went to an after hours event with colleagues and painted a plate each for the DCs (is there a way of adding photos on here without having a public profile?) but just as a random thing, they were over the moon with them. We are having another event before Xmas and I think I might paint a tree decoration each for them - the elves deliver one each on Xmas eve but not in 2012 because I couldn't find any nice ones! 
so homemade might be the way to go, if I can paint ones that are decent. Apparently you can drop essential oil into the (unpainted) back so it smells nice too. I am unsure what I would paint though.
