Morning all :)

I have a kindle in my basket, ready to go :o

Nice to see some Lego finally, but the sets aren't as good as last years by the looks of it :(

What will you have in your basket today?

My amazon addiction purchases keep my local DPD and home delivery network drivers in business. My local shops don't sell the things I buy from Amazon - or I could drive 30 miles to the nearest shopping mall. I know which method of shopping I prefer...

mirpuppet · 23/11/2012 18:58

I think retrns of shoes is "free" so check it out ImpYCelyn.

Poppedout · 23/11/2012 18:58

Oh no Impy. Would an insole help? If not, don't most of Amazon's shoes and clothes have free returns?

WhispersOfWickedness · 23/11/2012 18:59

Thanks for your input, Cat, but this is the wrong thread for this discussion. And no, I don't feel the slightest bit grubby, thanks for asking Smile

Oh do they? I've never bought clothes or shoes from them before. I'll check with an insole, but I think they'll be going back, sadly.

ClaimedByMe · 23/11/2012 19:00

I would rather stick pins in my eyes than take my 2 dc into town on a rainy Saturday 5 weeks before Christmas!

bagpuss · 23/11/2012 19:00

Actually cat, I do that as well. In the last week we have spent rather a large sum of money with two different local service providers - approximately 5 times the amount I've spent with amazon in the same period of time. I don't feel grubby, why would I? Not only do amazon have their own uk work force but they provide couriers with business, who in turn require local people to deliver the goods to me.

Anyway, just came on to say dh has ordered the kindle! I really didn't think he would. I had buyers remorse over the watch and tried to cancel but couldn't so it looks like that is meant to be too Grin.

Also Cats - 'real people' Confused Did you think Amazon is run by elves or something?

WhispersOfWickedness · 23/11/2012 19:01

1dc asleep, am waiting for the other one to show the vaguest hint of sleepiness now Hmm

WhispersOfWickedness · 23/11/2012 19:02

Grin at amazon run by elves! That would be AWESOME Grin

I should not have to justify why I buy things at the cheapest possible price. Me not buying will not make companies pay more tax. But then I worked for Boots, and didn't give 2 hoots about their tax escapades either.
Anyhoo, I will be in the 8pm club :) there a few things I would like, would I be considered terribly selfish if I blagged another pack of wipes? I do enjoy a good stockpile!

Piemistress · 23/11/2012 19:04

You are ahead of me whispers, feeding DD now haven't even got DS in the bath yet!

Poppedout · 23/11/2012 19:04

One DC in bed, feeding the other to sleep but he keeps opening one eye as if he KNOWS I am plotting more purchases. I wonder if DH has paid him to stay awake...

Loupee · 23/11/2012 19:06

I wonder if Amazon is the modern day equivalent of Santa's workshop?
Kicking myself I bought a travel cot last week!

ImpYCelyn · 23/11/2012 19:07

Like Argos according to Bill Bailey The pale, mythical wardens of the treasure. With the laminated book of dreams.

bagpuss · 23/11/2012 19:07

ImpYCelyn · 23/11/2012 19:07

X-posted. That was obviously (I hope) re the amazon elves.

anklebitersmum · 23/11/2012 19:08

wewereherefirst · 23/11/2012 19:08

Now I need to get the DC's to bed before 8!

Elfontheshelfiswatchingyou · 23/11/2012 19:11

Does it matter that the Kindle fire is not HD? DH wants one for Christmas and this is a much better price.

ImpYCelyn · 23/11/2012 19:16

Well it's official. Even with orthotics sexy they're too big Sad

Poppedout · 23/11/2012 19:16
