I think I got extra specially confused cos the the checkout said £22.10... I knowit did!!! Then I tried to apply my non mathsy brain to the sums and got pissed off with myself that I coudnt work it out.

£1.40 is not a bother.

iloveholidays · 08/11/2012 23:07

My basket just showed the 3 for 2 discount, delivery discount and 10% discount.

The 30% was already off the listed price, but then those lily items had more than 30% off so not sure.

iloveholidays · 08/11/2012 23:09

I bet it did show 22.10 but I think that was a random number essentially it had already deducted the delivery charge even though it hadn't been added that that point... If that makes sense. LA obviously don't like to show things simply!!

iloveholidays · 08/11/2012 23:11

My email confirmation splits down the total discount that has been applied actually... No mention of 30%.

izzywizzyisbizzy · 08/11/2012 23:18

Subtotal: £21.00
Discount: -£11.50
Postage & Packaging: £4.50
ORDER TOTAL: £14.00

Yes - I thought it was £7 3 for 3 and then £4.50 30%, but its not, it has taken postage off then added it back on. Wierd

BuffyFairy · 08/11/2012 23:23

It looks like the 30% was already applied on the prices on site. The biscuits I bought were £4 a tin, now showing as £2.80. Some things had a higher discount.

It was a bit weird the way the site applied the discounts.

I bought 3 tins @ £2.80.
3 for 2 discount -£2.80
Postage discount -£4.50
Sub total £1.10
Then it took 10% discount of £0.11
Then it added postage.

So a bit cheeky!

insanityscratching · 09/11/2012 05:45

The White Company has 20% discount plus free delivery with the code AB426. I think the code only runs to 11th November though.

reastie · 09/11/2012 06:34

Just checked zulily for the morning and they have some nice wooden toys under the brand 'voila' including a half price play tool work bench half price for £50 and a half price standing theatre for £47. Don't forget code 20MUMSNE15 for 20% off. Oh, and there's also a really nice chocolate brownie cake tin under the 'baking days' brand that I nearly bought for myself Blush - it has slicers in it so when they come out of the oven they are all already cut into their shapes (I'm probably not explaining that well, but it looks fab) for £10.50 - would be good for an adult if they like baking.

Getting impatient to find out who my secret santa is at work now so I can hurry up and order their gift! Could have got something nice in the LA glitch yesterday

OP posts:
MooseyMoo · 09/11/2012 07:03

I managed to get x3 LA biscuit tins for £5.40. I only used the free delivery code though.

beingginger oh, oh, oh I have a first gen nano and its knackered! Thanks for the tip

reastie · 09/11/2012 07:24

Dosh I'm thinking my buggy for DD is alot wider than a broom! Wink

3 days only 20% off toys at toys r us with code: TOYS20E

rhondajean · 09/11/2012 07:37

Beat me to Ilove! Was just on my way to share.

Debating now whether to get dd2 the monster high school after all - It would be £67.99 plus a free makeup kit if I order today...

LaTrucha · 09/11/2012 07:39

I can second Lidl - I was tempted to buy a lot of stuff I didn't need! They have great salopettes and ski jackets, polo necks, fluffy fleeces, long socks, ski gloves, fluffy fleeces.

I managed to get out of there with just some long socks and a fluffy fleece for £3.99. It was just so cuddly! The also have some nice building block kits.

If you are on quidco you can use that Hotel Chocolat deal posted upthread and get £7.50 cashback!

jumblequeen · 09/11/2012 07:39

Re: Laura Ashley - can someone bring me up to date? I haven't had nearly enough caffeine yet Confused

oreocrumbs · 09/11/2012 07:43

WH smith Kobe mini ereader £49.99 rather than £59.99.

pigleychez · 09/11/2012 08:02

I was coming on to share the Toys R Us code too :)

Glad someone else has already as I cant find the email at all! I def saw it this morning on my phone but its not there now! Confused

LaTrucha · 09/11/2012 08:43

The quidco / Hotel Chocolat thing means you get a £19.95 box of chocolates, in the end for £2.80.

mummy1986 · 09/11/2012 09:06

The free delivery code wont work on laura ashley!
Am i doing something wrong?

LaTrucha · 09/11/2012 09:35

I am having difficulty knowing if all the codes on that Hotel chocolat thing have worked.

mummy1986 · 09/11/2012 09:47

LaTrucha
What codes did you use to get the chocs to 2.80?!
please Thanks

butterfingerz · 09/11/2012 09:50

WHSmith has up to 50% off toys, much of it Lego, which makes many of the prices better than amazon. Free delivery over £15 of course. 50% off 2013 annuals too.

OhTheConfusion · 09/11/2012 10:19

I have been away this week and just spen over an hour (and over £100 Blush) catching up on this thread!!!

Dosh, my Quinny must be wider than a broom too!

Just collected all my FREE clothes for DD I bought using all the advantage card points from last weeks event... I am feeling rather pleased with myself Grin

jumpinghoops · 09/11/2012 10:24

LaTrucha, I ended up calling Hotel Chocolat as in the T&C it seemed that it was going to charge me £19.95. The guy on the phone said they'd had some problems with some going through accidentally as £19.95 rather than £9.95. The only way to prevent it happening was to do it over the phone. However, they don't ask for payment there and then but invoice you with the chocs, so if they get it wrong you could call them and ask to have your invoice adjusted before they're sent out. They were very helpful and apologetic about it on phone.

OhTheConfusion · 09/11/2012 10:28

Also can't believe this thread is half full already!

ShoopShoop · 09/11/2012 10:33

Thanks for the LA heads up - I've finally had a chance to place an order this morning and the 30% off and 3 for 2 is still working. I got DD's nursery staff some biscuits, fudge, jelly sweets and tea cannisters. Hopefully they'll like them Confused. They're a wide range of ages - one still lives at home - but fingers crossed they go down well. There's 4 of them so I'm sure I didn't place the "optimal" order to maximise my discount, but at least it's one lot of people crossed off my list!

BTW - 5 Minutes Peace (a lovely book) is back in stock at ELC. £3.49 down from £6.99 :)
