notso · 08/11/2012 13:01

Just tried again WeAllHaveWings but it won't let me.
Still a good offer with the extra points, but the ten pounds off would have been nice.

WeAllHaveWings · 08/11/2012 13:16

notso, worked it out.

A couple of months ago I got a Tesco credit card and a new clubcard number which they transferred all my old clubcard points to.

My internet signon has my old clubcard number on. Thats why it let me set it up.

You could possibly get a new clubcard number for your dh and use it for the deal (bit of a faff for £10).

Will wait until I've got my iPod and points before I try and change it!

reastie · 08/11/2012 13:21

Am dithering on the LA site but can't get free delivery code to work, and as I'm pretty much done on the shopping front can't justify more generic presents when I don't have anyone to give them to. Might check out Harrods though as want to get DD a nice bauble for the christmas tree (I realise that sounds like we'll have a bare christmas tree with one bauble on it - what I mean is a nice one to add to our collection!)

OP posts:
notso · 08/11/2012 13:23

Knowing my luck the offer will have finished by the time I fanny around getting him a clubcard!

Nevermind and thanks for pointing it out though, was going to go or the 8GB from Argos for £135 with £10 voucher back but this is much better!

mummy1986 · 08/11/2012 13:26

Has anyone seen a code for the book depository?
Need some Dr suess books for my friends daughter, and would love to get a bargin!
TIA

reastie · 08/11/2012 13:37

Re: Harrods - I've just been looking and in addition to free delivery they also have buy one get one free on a number of christmas tree decorations here

MistressIggi · 08/11/2012 15:11

MERRY20 for 20% off at Past Times.

BuffyFairy · 08/11/2012 15:22

Thanks for the tip on Laura Ashley. Just got some nice biscuits in gorgeous tins for a hamper I'm doing.

They took the free delivery off the product price and applied the 10% to the balance and then added delivery but still a good saving.

BuffyFairy · 08/11/2012 15:23

I'm not sure if this thread is saving me a fortune or encouraging me to buy more Grin

oreocrumbs · 08/11/2012 15:24

WannaSplitAPineapple I can't find any active codes for notonthehighstreet. By the looks of it they seem to put out 10% off codes quite often. Last one expired end of October.

If you join their facebook page they sometimes put codes out on there. Otherwise its a case of wait and see I'm afraid!

Went to the entertainer toy shop today, bought some sets of Hama beads for half price £4.50 each (for the small 1500 piece sets). Not showing online so keep an eye out if you have a store near you.

Also bought some perfumes and aftershaves in boots 100ml for the price of 30ml.

MooseyMoo · 08/11/2012 15:27

Lands End have 25% off everything with FF25PC

BeaWheesht · 08/11/2012 15:49

In tesco today they have lots of craft sets - I got a set to make peg people and a set to make key rings and badges - £2.50ish each.

I wrote down everything I've bought the kids the other night - I wish I hadn't an dh must never know

3bunnies · 08/11/2012 15:58

Er Bea won't he find out on Christmas Day, or does he still believe? Dh always grumbles about how many presents I get, even though lots are charity shop bargains. He does still believe in the wrapping fairy though so doesn't realise until it's too late Grin

BeaWheesht · 08/11/2012 16:06

Oh yes but some is for ds' birthday and rest will be spread out on the day so it won't look so bad much

armani · 08/11/2012 16:17

He he my dh is a fellow moaner, I call him the grinch! I always stash the presents away, so that he doesn't notice them!

BeaWheesht · 08/11/2012 16:26

I saw black Santa hats with bah humbug on - sorely tempted to buy dh one!

I'm not ridiculous by the way and spending way too much. If I budget to spend £50 say but get bargains and only spend £25 then I'll buy more stuff within budget whereas dh would just pocket the £25

pigleychez · 08/11/2012 16:27

How typical that the Laura Ashley deal is still on after I was up at midnight last doing it thinking it was ending over night!

Oh well, got some good gifts.

Still struggling on Adults though.. Kids were easy thanks to this thread :) Thanks

not much to add. Asda today seemed to have have quite a few toys on offer.-Didnt get a good look as DD2 was with me and moaning for lunch!
They also have a half price clothes sale on and picked up a few Peppa pig/Hello Kitty tops for the girls for only 2 or 3 pounds each.
