Vertbaudet has £15 off a £20 spend for 1st time customers, code 4698. Delivery is £3.99 (free over £60) and they've done that thing where things are either £19 or £25, but still I got a nice cashmere mix dress for friend's DD for £14 delivered, £25 originally. They also have a code advertised on the website for 20% off and a free dressing up outfit with any order.

A huge thanks by the way for these threads!

Just received This heat proof bag for Straighteners
£5.46 at the moment - great present for SIL

craftynclothy · 22/10/2012 14:11

Those of you that bought the facecloths, did you just get 1 at £1.99? The page seems to suggest you can only get one at that price.

BeaWheesht · 22/10/2012 14:11

Any ideas for my friend? Late 20s, got married in summer, no kids, rented flat, but skint just now, loves travelling and socialising. Need something for her birthday and Christmas (ideally two things but could be one between but think this is a bit of a crime???) about £10 birthday and £10 Christmas. Have got her husband some whisky.

reastie · 22/10/2012 14:19

Does she have any hobbies bea ? If she likes cooking maybe a nice cook book? I saw Jamies 15 minute meals in Waterstones today for half price and there are always good deals on cook books at the book people. Or else Molton Brown (see offer above for £10 off or free shower gel) would be a nice gift. Oh, or there's the O Kiely scarves mentioned above on original post too, they're £10.

Bench boxer shorts 3 for £10 on play.com.

Free delivery and 7% CB through quidco. Only on the pack that has black, grey and white, the other packs are £20.

oreocrumbs · 22/10/2012 15:37

Had an email back from Quidco about the free delivery for Hamleys. They said that Hamleys no longer offer it, and they have taken the free delivery off the Quidco site.

Thought they might have given me a code to honour it but evidently not. Dad form Quidco and Hamleys, bad form!

SminkoPinko · 22/10/2012 16:10

I got them all @1.99, crafty. I think they are my greatest bargain so far. I'm not sure if she's changed the terms due to huge demand, tho?

craftynclothy · 22/10/2012 16:20

That would make sense. Never mind.

Lots of bargains in the clearance here at Temptation Gifts I've picked up a box for a teacher gift, some soap to go in with someone else's present (no idea who yet!) and a soup bowl/spoon/plate set for my aunty.

www.achica.com Achica

£10 off £40 first spend enter FTSCHIC at the checkout. You have to register as a member but it's free and you aren't required to make a specific number of purchases. It has daily/weekly sales of homeware such as Joseph Joseph and Orla Kiely, artwork and toys such as John Crane or Melissa & Doug - all at a discount.

bleedingheart · 22/10/2012 16:41

fixed link!

izzywizzyisbizzy · 22/10/2012 16:47

Ive just topped up the Christmas spirits on Ocado, spent £80, got 2 litres of Bombay, 2 bottles of flavoured vodka, a load of nogoff crisps and stuff to take total to £80 for £66 - then also quidco is £8 cashback for first purchase, I wont use them again - so I am happy, that can be DHs Christmas pressie as I am pregnant and cant drink it anyway.

OnlyGirlinmyHouse · 22/10/2012 16:47

I was just looking at the face cloths, i took it to mean that the special offer of £1.99 is for a single name, not just the first name you order. If you wanted for example 'auntie doris' you'd have to order through the other listing. I think, anyway!

BeaWheesht · 22/10/2012 16:51

Thanks reastie - she's veggie and her husband is the worlds biggest carnivore so hard to buy suitable cookbook!!!! I don't know much about Milton brown she isn't a girly person iykwim ? Orla Kiely scarf might be a good idea actually...

BeaWheesht · 22/10/2012 16:53

Oh hobbies are samba dancing , speaking spanish, cinema, usual stuff. Don't want to get vouchers for cinema etc though did think about spending little bit more and getting a meal or something???? Clueless about these things though and we are in Scotland which sometimes makes things more complex

reastie · 22/10/2012 17:05

Molton Brown not Milton bea Wink - they do really nice but expensive smellies. Perhaps with the £10 code you could get her a nice handwash? Even if she's not girly she would use that and appreciate it I think. A baking cook book would please the meat eater and veggie and I have a few students where I teach who rave about this one

OhTheConfusion · 22/10/2012 17:19

Bea, I gave a friend the m&s dine in for her brithday last month as I knew they were too skint to go out and a voucher for dinner still cost a taxi, drinks, babysitter etc.

If you have got her DH whiskey why not get the tipple of her choice too.
